3 6:45am Athletes meet in the gardens of the Mairie de Papeete (City Hall). Registration and triathletes collect transition bags. 7:30am Triathletes board buses bound for the west coast (trip duration 45 minutes). Triathletes retrieve their mountain bikes and get ready in the transition area * RUN & BIKERS who do not have their own transportation to Mataiea may load their bikes onto the flatbed truck and ride the bus. 9:00am Course briefing. Athletes must respect all sites area and pack all their trash (bottles, gels, etc.). 9:30am to 10:00am Complete preparations and warm-up. 9:30am TXT RACE DEPARTS 10:15am TST RACE DEPARTS (Time is approximate) After the last triathlete takes off, the RUN & BIKERS get into position: runners leave from the departure area and their mountain bike teammates leave from the bottom of the trail (approx. 200m) using the 24 hours Le Mans style departure. FOR THE 2 RACES The finish line is located at the exit to the Papenoo river at the foot of the metallic bridge. Buses will pick up the athletes and take them to the hotel where the awards will take place.

4 !"#$=12%(#!,B$!A!$C$ 144:%1&6$!%)&!"51'$ $(;)??)'3$=12%(# Distance : m (2 x 750 m) Triathletes must execute a 750m triangle then exit the water over a 30m stretch (Australian exit) before leaving for a second loop. Kayaks and small boats will ensure safety. The bike transition area will be located about 50m away from the water exit area. A shower will be available for those who wish to rinse off. $?!'$@)>)'3$=12%(# Distance : 32 km Once equipped with their helmets, competitors grab their MTBs and push them on foot until they have exited the transition area. Only once they have attained the exit may they mount and start pedaling. The first 10km are hilly with moderate grades. *Please respect those who wish to overtake you. Just as you would on the road, stay to the far right. At the 10km point : 500 m climb with a 20%grade At 11km : VAIHIRIA Lake. From the lake, there is another climb exceeding a 15% grade for about 500 m. There will be 3km of inclines and descents until the tunnel *Visibility is low in the tunnel. Watch out for holes filled with water... At the exit, you will be on the east coast. ALTITUDE 755 m &!!#'!)1'$$6&'3#%$C At the exit to the tunnel, there is a steep descent with slopes exceeding a 15 % grade for 6km until the Relais de la Maroto.. At 21km, right before the Relais de la Maroto hotel, turn left to get to the ancestral site, Marae du Fare Hape and the majestic Tahinu Dam before coming to la Maroto (6km loop). You will cross several fords. At the exit to Fare Hape, you will cross the river to get to the Papenoo trail at the foot of the Maroto. After 500 m on the road, turn right to cross the Marama Nui reservoir. Get back onto the trail for one last steep ride before arriving at the mountain bike - foot race transition area. Each participant hands the mountain bike to an organizer before getting his/her transition bag (which are arranged in numerical order). $%2'')'3$=12%(# Distance : 10 km After limbering up for a kilometer, you will go down a big cement ramp for about 200m with a grade exceeding 15%.On foot, You will leave the hunters house on the right to cross the ford. A few hundred meters later, take the side path along the Papenoo river. Then get back on the trail until the Marama Nui Power Station where you will go right and cross the river at the area called Cocoro. After the paved dyke, a new course will take you to the amazing Teharuru waterfall before accessing the ford of the metallic bridge, the finish line for the TXT. The first competitors should arrive by 12:15pm and the last ones by 05:00pm.

5 Distance : 36 km (For each 2-man team) This course will use the same route as the TXT Triathlon and depart from the bike transitional area on Mataiea beach to the Relais de la Maroto hotel (22 km). Both Run & Biker competitors must not ever be more than 50m apart or they risk elimination or penalties. From there, competitors veer to the left towards Fare Hape. At the foot of this descent, they do not continue towards Tahinu Dam (like the triathletes), but turn right to cross the river and get to the iron bridge located across from the Marama Nui Power Station. Thereafter, the remainder of the course (12km) is identical to the TXT.

Registration inspection, distribution of race bibs and management of mountain bikes. Organizers will distribute transition bags to athletes. 07:00pm : Pasta Party. A meal will be served to each of the competitors. VSOP staff will introduce the courses and international athletes. =1'!&=! M. Those who wish to do so can register for a recovery massage offered at a special price. Buses will pick up the athletes and take them to the hotel for the awards ceremony. This will be the recovery site (massages, pool, resting) where a dance performance, dinner and the awards ceremony will take place. The flatbed trucks will return the mountain bikes to the same location where athletes can recover the rest of their belongings. #9#')'3 06:30pm : The Club will provide entertainment with a local dance group that will take you to another world! During the meal, VSOP will present the results: Awards will be given on the podium as well as to all the participants. 61'&!)1'( Since the beginning of this event, VSOP has donated part of the earnings to social, medical and humanitarian organizations.
