5 PRE-RACE INFORMATION The Powerman Indonesia 2018 is a Duathlon World Series under the brand Powerman, sanctioned globally by International Powerman Association (I.P.A). Being held for the second year running, the event has gathered a growing following from local as well as foreign participants from all over the world. INDIVIDUAL CATEGORY RACE PACK COLLECTION All participating athletes are required to collect their race packs at the race pack collection counters located at The Tower, Jalan Gatot Subroto Kav 12 from am to 8.00 pm on 31 March - 1 April Participants from Overseas & out of town can do their race entry pack collection April 7, 2018 from PM at Race Village venue at Sutera. TEAM RELAY RACE PACK COLLECTION Teams may nominate one member of the team to collect the race packs on the team s behalf. All teams must collect the race packs prior to the race start. All team member s information must be furnished during the race pack collection. Kindly download the authorisation form should you be collecting the race pack on behalf of other teams. Please take note, each team member is required to compete and no substitution is permitted before orduring the race. Should any unauthorized athlete be found to be competing as a team member, they/team will be subjected to disciplinary action which may include disqualification and/or fine to the team or its member or both. Athletes will receive the following during race pack collection: ID wristband (Wristbands must be worn at all times from collection to end of race) Helmet sticker (to be placed on the front of helmet only) Bike seat post sticker (to be installed securely around the seat post) Race bib (Compulsory to be worn throughout the race)

6 ATHLETE WRISTBAND ID wristbands must be worn at all times, from the time of collection to the end of race. Please take note that the ID wristband provides access to athletes only restricted areas. It also serves as the only means in to the transition area to store bikes pre race and for collection of your bike and gear post race. Kindly take note only athletes are permitted entry into the transition area. WEAR WRISTBANDS AT ALL TIME; DO NOT REMOVE UNTIL AFTER EVENT. TIMING Kindly collect your race packs from the personnel by confirming your personal identity at the race pack collection. Kindly verify that your race number on your bib corresponds with the race number on the other items(wrist tag, helmet sticker & bike sticker)as well as checking the accuracy of your personal information. Any information that is not accurate must be informed to the personnel immediately before leaving the collection area. Each participant will be issued 2 timing chips, one which is attached to the race bib and another which will be attached to their bike sticker. All bibs must be kept safely and to be worn on race morning. Timing chips need not be returned after the race. Each timing bib must be worn on the front of the athlete and to be worn at all times during the race. While the timing chip on the bike sticker is to be mounted on the seat post before bike check-in. Officials may refuse entry if timing bibs are not worn or mounted.

7 Should any athlete for any reason not start the race or retire before or during the race, it is compulsory for the athlete to report their bib number to the secretariat immediately. Timing results will include run split, bike split, run split and finish time overall and category results. TRANSITION The Transition Area is located at the outdoor carpark of the Mall of AlamSutera. All bike racks will be identified by the order of race number. Access to the transition area will be permitted strictly to athletes with ID wristband and stickers installed on their bikes. More information on the transition will be explained in the run and bike course sections. Professional security services will be hired from Saturday to Sunday morning to ensure the safety of your bicycle. Once the bike is racked on Saturday, 7 April 2018, kindly take this opportunity to explore the routes in and out of the transition area. Any further questions will be answered by officials who will be stationed in the area. BIKE CHECK-IN It is COMPULSORY for all participants to check-in their bikes on Saturday, 7 April 2018, from WIB to WIB. Failure to do so will result in disqualification. The organiser reserves the right to deny any bike check-in after the stipulated time. The transition area will be opened on Sunday, 8 April 2018, from 0300 hours till 0400 hours, allowing athletes to check-in their bike accessories. No bike check-in will be entertained on race morning, Sunday, 8 April 2018.

8 BIKE CHECK All bikes will be checked by technical officials before being allowed entry into the transition area. Kindly ensure that your bike and helmet are in proper and safe working condition before checking process. Anybike or helmet that does not comply with the regulation will be rejected from usage in race. An example of items that will be checked: End plugs on handle bars Tyres condition Stripped cabling Minimum one water bottle cage Brakes condition Bikes that do not comply with the regulations will be allowed to have it repaired and be re-tested before transition area closes on Sunday morning. Athletes are to make repairsat their own cost within the stipulatedtime. HELMET CHECK The usage of bike helmet is compulsory on the bike course. Checking of helmets will be conducted by officials at the Transition Area. Kindly wear them upon entering the area. Helmets must meet the following specifications: Helmets must be approved and certified by a recognised testing authority (e.g. Indonesia Standards Certified or SNI). No alterations are allowed in any part of the helmet. This includes but not limited to any modification to the manufacturer s chinstrap, and addition or removal of outer/inner cover. Helmets must not have any sign of damage before the race. TECHNICAL SUPPORT Technical assistance will be provided by Trek at the mechanic station near the transition area on Saturday, 7 April 2018, from 1000 hours to 1900 hours, and Sunday, 8 April 2018, from 1000 hours to 1730 hours.limited emergency repairs are available on race morning subject to the availability of mechanics. All participating athletes are to ensure their bikes are in roadworthy condition and final checks are recommended. WITHDRAWAL Any athlete, who wishes to withdraw prior to race day, must report to the Information to the officials at the Race Village. Any withdrawal on race day, must be reported at the Drop Out Clerk located near the Finish Line.

9 MEDICAL The safety of each athlete is of utmost importance. As such, it is the responsibility of every athlete to ensure a full fitness prior to race. Any athlete who does not possess the appropriate level of fitness is strongly encouraged not to compete. Kindly seek medical advice from a qualified doctor prior the race should any athlete experience any discomfort or doubt about their fitness level and health. Basic medical assistance is available on Sunday 8 th April 2018 race day. For any medical attention, kindly visit the information counter or seek the attention of any event personnel. Medical staff will be positioned at various points on race day. INSURANCE All participating athletes are advised to purchase their own insurance for the duration of the event. INFORMATION DESK The information desk will be located at the Powerman Expo area where athletes will be able to receive information on maps, athletes list, event programs, transport information and other related information. OPERATING HOURS Sutera 7 April am to pm N.B- Operating hours may be subjected to change EXPO An expo featuring popular selection of biking and running products will be showcased at the Mall of AlamSutera from Saturday 7th April am to 5.30 pm and Sunday 8th April am to 1.00 pm. RACE BRIEFING VIDEO A pre-recorded race briefing video will be shown at the EXPO area on Saturday, 7 April As there will not be a live race briefing by an official, this will serve as an official race briefing for all participating athletes. Course director will be present on venue to answer any questions.

14 SHORT AND CLASSIC TEAM RELAY TRANSITION Runners will enter the transition area and meet the cyclist team member at the allocated team holding area and must hand over the timing bibs to the cyclist. The cyclist team member must receive the timing bib from the fellow runner before un-racking the bike. The timing bib will act as a relay baton for the next transition from cyclist to the final runner. The final runner must cross the finish line with the timing chip secured on the front of their body, visible to race officials. Once the first runner has handed the timing bib to the cyclist member, they must exit the transition area immediately (via team exit/entry point). Once the cyclist has commenced the cycle course, the final runner will be allowed to enter the transition area. Kindly adhere to the directions set by officials. Once the cyclist returns to the transition area, bikes must be racked first at its allocated numbered position, and the timing bibs must be handed over to the final runner. Cyclist must then exit the transition area immediately (via team exit/entry point). Kindly familiarise the direction flow of the transition area, including team exit/entry points and team recovery area. There will be a team holding area at the transition area near the finish line. Teams may cross the finish line together if so desire. The team will be presented with their finisher tee and medal at the recovery area. All participating athletes must have their helmets secured on the top of their heads and helmet buckles fastened, from the time they remove their bike from the rack, at the start of the bike leg until after they have finished and placed their bike on the rack at the end of the bike leg.

15 GENERAL TRANSITION AREA RULES Athletes must only use their designated bike racks / bays at the transition area. Kindly adhere to all instructions by the officials. Athletes must not adjust, obstruct, interfere, or assist with another athlete s equipment in the transition area. Athletes are allowed to run or walk within the transition area, kindly move swiftly without obstructing or endangering oneself or anyone else within the transition area. Cycling is strictly prohibited in the transition area. Athletes are required to push their bikes from the transition area to the Bike Mount Line before an athlete can mounttheir bikes. Athletes are required to dismount before the Bike Dismount Line. Failure to do so, athletes will be penalised by the race officials. Nudity or indecent exposure is strictly prohibited. Non-participating athletes / outsiders are not allowed into the transition area. Race bikes and equipment can be claimed from the transition area by producing the race bib number during the stipulated Bike Collection Time. ATHLETE RACE NUMBER All race number must be visible on the athletes at all times. During cycling, the race number must be clearly visible on the front part of the helmet and during running on the racing bibs. Race bibs must not be folded, cut or manipulated in any way. Team relay athletes are required to bring their own race belts for the timing bib to be secured on to, it will be used as a baton for passing onto the next leg. BIKE AND RUN AID STATIONS Aid stations will be provided in both run and bike route. Please refer to the course maps on exact locations of the aid stations. CUT OFF TIMES Bike Course 1100 hours on Sunday, 8 April 2018 Run Course 1130 hours on Sunday, 8 April 2018 Athletes may be cut off at other points and times at the Race Director s discretion. TIMING Start timing will be recorded from the time athletes pass the start timing map located within the starting arch.

16 AGE GROUP CATEGORIES Age is calculated as at 8 th April 2018 (Powerman Short & Classic) FINISH LINE AND RECOVERY PROCEDURE Kindly respect the finish line area as to not allow celebrations to interfere with other athletes finish line experience. Volunteer catchers will be positioned at the finish line to guide athletes to the secured recovery area where food and beverage will be served. There will also be a medical team on standby should any medical attention be required.

17 COLLECTION OF BIKES The collection of bikes at the transition area will be from am to 1.00 pm on Sunday 8 th April Officials will also advise on that day if the check out time for bikes is changed. Non athletes/ outsiders are not permitted to enter the transition area during the time of collection of bikes. Any athlete that does not adhere to the timing or rules may face disqualification. ID wristbands will be used as verification for bike collection. Athletes who do not possess the ID wristband will not be permitted to collect their bikes. OFFICIAL FINISHER/ PRIZE MONEY Age Group Categories For Individual & Team Relay.

18 FINISHER TOKEN To earn a Finisher tee, individual long distance participants will need to finish within the officially stipulated cut off time. Finisher medals will be given to all participating athletes who complete the race. Any participant or team that did not complete the required distance in the race must not run through the finish line but proceed to the race secretariat to report non finish. RESULTS Results will be posted on Powerman Indonesia website on Monday 10 th April 2018 at PRIZE GIVING CEREMONY The top 3 finishers in each category will be recognized and presented with a trophy at the PrizeGiving Ceremony podium area at pm for Eliteand Short Distance category and pm forclassic Distance category on Sunday 8th April2018. Winners are required to be present on time to receive their prizes. LOST PROPERTY For any lost or misplace of personal items, kindly contact the information desk at Race Village. 22 COURSE INFORMATION CANCELLATION AND ROUTE AMENDMENT The organizer reserves the right to cancel the event at any time without the prior notice to the participating athlete(s), however reasonable efforts of communication will be made prior to such cancellation. Should there be any cancellation, there will be no refund of fees paid and the organizer shall not be liable for any loss or inconvenience caused. The organizer reserves the right to amend the event race course as they deem fit for the safety of the participating athletes and/or to prevent any potential hazards, at any time without prior notice. In such cases, reasonable efforts of communication will be made prior to such change. Should such change take effect; the organizer shall not be liable for any loss or inconvenience caused. CLOSURE OF ROADS, CUT OFF TIME AND TRAFFIC The race route will be closed to traffic for the duration of the race up to six (6) hours, from the first flag off at 5.15 am. After the six hour cut off mark, the roads will be re-opened to vehicle traffic. The organizer reserves the right to re-open the race route to vehicle traffic at the officials discretion for operational reasons and/or to prevent any potential hazards, without prior notice to participating athletes. While we implement traffic management infrastructure throughout both bike and run courses, there will be public vehicles sharing the roads at times.as such, please exercise caution and tolerance on such situations, particularly at intersections and roundabouts. Police, traffic controllers, course marshals and event crew will be on routes to assist. While the organizer takes every reasonable step to ensure traffic safety for the athletes, they are not liable for any mishap should it happen along the race routes. RUN COURSE DISTANCE CATEGORY DISTANCE Powerman Classic (20KM) Powerman Short (10KM) 5+5 Powerman Classic Team Relay (20KM) Cut off time for run course: 11.00am Sunday 08th April 2018 DISTANCE MARKERS Distance markers will be located about 1 kilometer along the run course.

23 RUN COURSE RULES If an athlete receives an infringement duringthe Run, they may be required to serve a Stop-Start Penalty on the course with the Technical Official where the infringement occurred. Only running or walking is allowed, no other form of locomotion permitted. Athletes are required to wear their race number bibs on the front, or race belts with numbers must be visible at all times on the course. Unauthorised support vehicles or non-participating athletes are banned from the course. A non-participating athlete includes supporters, coaches, athletes who have withdrawn from the race, athletes who have been disqualified or athletes who have completed the race or any other outsider that are not listed here. It is permissible however for athletes who are still competing to run alongside each other. Any athlete found to be discarding equipment, bidons, cups or rubbish on the course other than the drop zones situated at the aid stations, shall be penalised under the littering infringement, which may include penalty or disqualification. Athlete must be fully attired at all times. Athletes who fail to complete the entire course shall be disqualified. GENERAL RULES Athletes must be fully aware of the course layout for bike and run. Athletes are expected to follow the directions and instructions of all race officials and public authorities. Medical personnel shall have the final authority to remove an athlete from the race if the athlete is physically incapable of continuing the race as to avoid any serious injury or death. Any athlete therefore who are transported in a medical vehicle shall be classified as Did Not Finish (DNF) Fraud, theft, abusive behavior and any acts of poor sportsmanship by an athlete are grounds for immediate disqualification and may result in suspension from future Powerman events. The organizer reserves the right to amend the rules at anytime provided reasonable no tice is given to the athletes. Any athlete who decides to drop out from the race at any time must report to the race official on course or at the information desk in the Auditorium. No communication and electronic devices such as mobile phones, headsets, etc are permitted during race. Usage of such devices may result in disqualification. The use of cameras or video cameras is prohibited unless permission is given by the organizer If such permission is given, it is the athlete s duty to inform the official. Unauthorized use of cameras or video cameras may result in disqualification. Athletes are not allowed the transfer registration to another athlete. This includes exchange of racing bibs, numbers, stickers, etc. Any attempt of such transfer may result in disqualification and suspension from future Powerman events.

Helmets, shoes and proper attire must be worn at all times while cycling Drafting of another bike or any other vehicle is strictly prohibited and illegal in this event An athlete found drafting will be served a time penalty by the officials. A pass occurs when the leading edge of the overtaking athlete s front wheel passes the leading edge of the front wheel of the athlete being passed Athletes must obey all traffic laws unless otherwise directed by the official Athletes must ensure that their race numbers are clearly visible on both front and lower back of their jersey or attire during cycling Cycling helmets are compulsory during the entire bike course. These must be in accordance with the updated UCI helmet requirements with CE or ANSI or SNELL certification No communication and electronic devices such as mobile phones, headsets, etc. permitted during the race. Usage of such devices may result in disqualification Individual support vehicles and support crews are strictly prohibited Aero bars and clip-on may be used. However, all ends must be plugged All bikes must not be installed with any motorised mechanism and must strictly be unfoldable DRAFTING This is a non-drafting race; as such the following rules will apply: Drafting off another athlete or motor vehicle is strictly forbidden. Athletes must reject drafting attempts by others An athlete is entitled to any position on the course, provided they arrive at the position without making any physical contact with other athletes The draft zone for all athletes will be a rectangle 10 metre long (5 bikes length) by 3 meters wide. As a guide, on roads with broken line markings, each line is 3 meters in length, and the distance between the lines is 9 meters The draft zone will be measured from the back edge of the back wheel of the bike in front to the front edge wheel of the bike behind

25 An athlete may enter a bike draft zone (subject to official s judgement) in the following circumstances: - For safety reasons - At an aid station - At the exit or entrance of the transition area - At an acute turn or U-turn If the race officials exclude a section of the course, this will be due to of narrow lanes, costruction, detours or for other safety reasons Drafting is defined as (please see diagrams below): Riding directly behind anotherb ike, within the draftz one Riding 2 or more abreast, within the draft zone Riding 2 or more diagonally next to each other, within the draft zone In the diagrams the draft zone (10m length x 3 m wide) is signified by the dotted rectangle lines. An athlete is passed or deemed to be overtaken when another athlete s front wheel is ahead of theirs Once overtaken, it is the onus of the overtaken athlete, who must immediately move out of the draft zone of the leading / overtaking athlete. In this instance, a 15-second rule will apply The race officials will record the race numbers of athletes who are caught to be drafting. Any athlete whose race number appears three times or more will be disqualified from the race. The Race Director s decision will be final in this matter

26 GENERAL DISQUALIFICATION Consumption of alcohol or other drugs 24 hours before the race Use of performance enhancing stimulants Refusing to follow the rules and / or instructions by race officials Failure to follow the prescribed course route Usage of abusive language or untoward / unbecoming / unsportsmanlike behaviour to wards any officials, event crew or volunteers Blocking, charging, obstructing or interfering with the forward progress of another athlete Unfair contact. The fact that contact occurs between athletes does not constitute a violation. When several athletes are moving in a limited area, contact may occur; incidental contact between athletes in equal favourable positions is not a violation Use of performance enhancing stimulants Accepting assistance from any person other than a race official or accepting assistance from a race official who may constitute as an unfair advantage Refusing to adhere to officials instruction Departing the course for reasons of safety but failed to re-enter the point of departure Deliberately discarding personal items, equipment, bidons or rubbish on the course other than at the appropriate disposal areas Wearing items deemed hazard to oneself or others, e.g. Headsets, jewellery, earphones, etc. Using unauthorised equipment to provide an advantage of which endanger others Violating traffic regulations PROTEST AND COMPLAINTS Complaints, protest and notices of violation must be filed officially in writing to the Race Director within 30 minutes of completion of race, with a non refundable protest fee of Rp Verbal protest will not be entertained. The officials reserves the right to apply due discretion on a case to case basis. Decision of the Race Director is deemed final.

27 CONTINGENCY PLAN A Race Direction Committee has been established to consult, make decisions and manage the implementation of any contingency plans. Following are the committee members: CHANDRA SYAHRIAR Project Director (E-Plus Indonesia) Zacky Badrudin Race Director John Raadschelders - President (International Powerman Association) The committee will meet at 5pm, Saturday, 7 April 2018, to discuss any forecast extreme weather patterns for race day, and will review plan in the event of cancelling or altering any component of the race. Any changes which differ greatly from the advertised / provided information will be communicated to athletes at the race briefing and race pack collection days. The committee has the right to make such changes in line with the smooth operations and safety of the event. The committee will ensure that they provide a duty of care to all athletes, staff, volunteers and spectators with the well-being of all individuals being the highest that threatens the immediate and long-term well-being of an individual as a result of rain, lightning, wing or heat. The risk to individual well-being is determined in line with the Sport Medicine Indonesia spolicy for Reducing Heat Injury in Sport and the forecasted conditions. The committee will make their decision should condition such as, but not limited to, any of the followings be either forecast or prevail: Extreme Temperature Extreme Weather Condition The committee may consider implementing one or more of the following actions if deemed necessary in the interests of athlete safety: Shorten the distance of one or more of the course (run, bike, run) Commence an early or late start Cancellation of one or more of the course including the entire event CONTINGENCY RUN COURSE In an instance a section of the run course is impassable, the committee will ascertain whether the course will be cleared, and determine the timeframe or whether an alternative route can be made to bypass such impacted section. The solution taken by the committee will depend on whether this was identified pre-race start or post-run course start.

28 PRE-RACE START If the course can be cleared in an acceptable timeframe, within 30 minutes, the committee will start the event at the scheduled time. If the course cannot be cleared in an acceptable timeframe (more than 30 minutes), or an alternative route is identified, the committee may decide the delay of the start so that athletes can be briefed on the new course segment. If the course cannot be cleared and an alternative route cannot be identified within 1 hour, the committee may declare the event a run or bike only or cancel the event. If there is a delay following the race start, the committee will ensure all runners to complete the course by evening. POST-RUN COURSE START Athletes are required to stop in the direction they are travelling on either side of the impacted area. If the course can be cleared in an acceptable timeframe, within 30 minutes, the event will proceed with athletes being released at 15 seconds intervals based on their positions before the stoppage. If the course cannot be cleared in an acceptable timeframe, within 30 minutes, and an alternative route cannot be identified, the committee may decide to declare the event a run or bike only or cancel the event. CONTINGENCY BIKE COURSE In the instance a section of the bike course is impassable, the committee will ascertain whether the course will be cleared, and determine the timeframe or whether an alternative route can be made to bypass such impacted section. The solution taken by the committee will depend on whether this was identified pre-race start or post-bike course start. If the course can be cleared in an acceptable timeframe (within 30 minutes), the committee will start the event at the scheduled time. If the course cannot be cleared in an acceptable timeframe (more than 30 minutes), or an alternative route is identified, the committee may decide the delay of the start so that athletes can be briefed on the new bike course segment. If the course cannot be cleared and an alternative route cannot be identified within 1 hour, the committee may decide to declare the event a run or bike only or cancel the event. If there is a delay following the race start, the committee will ensure all cyclist completes the course by noon.

29 WEATHER Should bad weather occur during the race, the committee may choose one of the following actions: If the weather condition is considered non-life threatening and it is expected to improve in an acceptable timeframe (within 30 minutes), the committee may decide to allow the athletes to continue the race. If the weather condition is considered life-threatening and it is expected not to improve in an acceptable timeframe (within 1 hour), the committee may decide to declare the event a run or bike only or cancel the event.

30 POINTS TO REMEMBER Book flights and accommodation ensuring arrival on time for Athlete Race Pack Collection on Saturday, 07 th April 2018 (10.00 am to pm) Familiarize oneself with the race schedule and race course Ensure receipt of confirmation- please check all personal details are correct, print a hard copy and bring along during race pack collection. Check the athlete list online and ensure accuracy of name and details. Please bring a photo identification Inform the organizer of an emergency contact and ensure that they are contactable on race day.
