The Run For The Paws 10K Race was established in June of 2016 by Steven Spitz of Big Apple Pet Supply combining his joy of running and fitness with his love of animals. Steven was recently made one of 300 official Reebok Spartan Race Ambassadors. The first 10K race took place on July 10, 2016 just 8 weeks after its inception and boasted 160 registered runners. With the second round of Run For The Paws 10K planned for February 26, 2017 we expect more than 600 registered runners. This event adds Accu-Chip timing, awards for placement, T-shirts, Paw Shaped medals and continues the free product raffle that the first race offered. 3 ABOUT THE NON-PROFIT Tri-County Animal Rescue is a 100% No-Kill Animal Shelter by which our mission is to rescue animals from deplorable situations, high kill shelters and natural disasters from Florida and beyond. Tri County Animal Rescue is celebrating two decades of being the leader in rescuing thousands of animals in distress. Tri-County Animal Rescue began its mission in 1996 with co-founders Jeannette Christos and Suzi Goldsmith and four volunteers in a tiny house in Lake Worth zoned for kennels. RESCUE IS OUR MISSION.
