Sophomore Brandon Deloney started off the 2009 indoor track season right at last weekend s SASF Invitational by medaling in two out of his three events. In the 60-meter, Brandon took 8th place with a time of Deloney took top honors in the 200-meter (21.95) and second in the 4x400 relay (3:20.34) in which he ran the anchor leg. Joshua William provisionally qualified for the weight throw by winning the event at the Illinois State dual meet (Jan. 16) with a throw of (20.06m). The mark is the second best throw in Indiana State School history and currently ranks him fourth in the nation. This throw is the best in the Valley by nearly two feet. State Farm Missouri Valley Conference Women s Track Athlete of the Week Erica Moore, Indiana State, Sr., Sullivan, Ind. Senior Erica Moore was the athlete of the meet for Indiana State in their dual meet victory over Illinois State (Jan. 16) as she won the 800 meters, 60 meter hurdles, and the long jump. Moore provisionally qualified for the 800 meters with a winning time of 2:09.85 which broke the Horton Field House record of 2:10.02 set by Jill Stamison of Western Michigan in She also won the hurdles with a time of 8.93 and the long jump with a leap of 18 6 (5.64m). Preseason rankings are based soley on returning athletes ranking on the national descending order list. Subsequent rankings will also use only the descending order list with current season results to rank the teams. Any team with a projected scorer at the NCAA meet will be ranked. USTFCCCA indoor rankings are scheduled to be release on Jan. 26, Feb. 2, Feb. 9, Feb. 16, Feb. 23, Mar. 2 and Mar. 9. The number listed under the date is the projected team scoring.
