1 Neil Armstrong s Color Run!! For the FIRST time ever, Neil Armstrong PTO is going to hold a mile and a half Color Run and Walk! This will be a fun school event where you run or walk a 1.5-mile course around the school while being blasted with awesome color from stations down along the soccer field. The focus of the color run and walk is to have a fun time with friends and family. Running or walking with a group provides encouragement and motivation, not to mention all the fun you will have while raising money to bring fun field trips, assemblies, recess equipment, and much more. Neil Students should ask family, friends (who are not students at Neil), neighbors, etc. to come join the fun! Contests & Prizes Every student with five paid registrations for the Color Run & Walk gets a free registration for themselves! The Homeroom with the most students participating in the Color Run & Walk will receive a prize A top prize will be awarded to the student who has the most paid registered participants signed up on their entry form. All students much complete the attached student registration forms to participate in the event. Student registration is $20 and Adult registration is $30 if registered by Monday, October 16 th. Only registration forms turned into homeroom teachers on or before Monday October 16 th will be counted towards the contests and are guaranteed a shirt, sunglasses, and color packet. Students and Adults may register after October 16 th up to the day of the race, however the registration price increases to $30 for students and $40 for Adults shirts, sunglasses and color packets are NOT guaranteed and registrations are not included in school contests. Sorry, only one Neil Armstrong student per student registration form. All registered participants MUST read and sign the attached liability waiver. Besides the colorful Run/Walk, there will be music, snacks, and Chinese Auction Baskets lots of fun for everyone! Check in begins at 8:00 AM, color run/walk starts promptly at 9:30 AM, please arrive at least 30 minutes to start of event to check in. Registration Fees: Location: Neil Armstrong Middle School, 5800 Murray Avenue, Bethel Park Pre-Register Discount Before October 16 th Adults $30/ Students $20 get a free t- shirt, color packet, and sunglasses (required for the course) After October 16 th and Day of Event: Adults $40/ Students $30, shirts, glasses, and color not guaranteed. 3 WAIVER AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY In consideration of the acceptance of this entry, I assume full and complete responsibility for any injury/accident which may occur during this event. I am also aware of and assume all the risks associated with participating in this event, including falls, contact with other participants, effect of weather, traffic, and conditions of the course. I, for myself and on behalf of my heirs, here-by waive Neil Armstrong PTO, Bethel Park School District and all persons associated with the event for all liabilities, claims, actions, or damages that I may have against them in any way connected with my participation in this event. I understand that this waiver includes any claims, whether caused by negligence, the action of any of the above parties or otherwise. I understand that the entry fee is nonrefundable. I hereby grant full permission to all parties to use any photographs or any other record of this event. For participants of minority age (under age 18 at the time of registration), the undersigned parent/guardian with legal responsibility for the participant, does consent and agrees to his/her release as provided above for all the Releasers, and for myself, my heirs, assigns, and next of kin.
