THREE INDIVIDUALS plus any additional qualifiers may be entered. AQ standards are the Division 1 MHSAA Regional Meet AQs If AQs are entered, all entries must meet the AQ or will be removed. ONE RELAY may be entered per team for each relay event. All times, distances and heights shall have been achieved from the current outdoor season, prior to noon on May 9th. Times must be entered as FAT times to the hundredth (.00) or hand held equivalent, adjusted by Confirmed false times will be placed in the last position or first section without seeding consideration. Wednesday, May 9th at 6pm at East High School Please park in the lower lot off of 10 mile at the traffic light and enter the marked doors (#23) in the back of the school we will meet in the team meeting room before the gym. 2 SOUTH LYON EAST HIGH SCHOOL West Ten Mile Road South Lyon, MI SCHOOL CHECK IN: Coaches may check in their team at the front gate and pick up their informational packets. Only athletes in uniform will be admitted to the track with the team. Athletes not in uniform will pay the full price of admission. FACILITY: * 8 lane, Metric, Polyurethane surface (same for PV, HJ, & LJ) * 1/8 spikes or flats may be used. ¼ spikes may be used if the shoe has recessed sockets. * Please bring your own chalk for marking exchange areas * Chalk Marks Only, Please NO TAPE on the track surface * Shot put and discus throwing surfaces are concrete SCORING: Medals - Top 8 individual events, Top 3 relay teams STARTING BLOCKS: IMPLEMENT CHECK IN: COACHES MEETING: Furnished by East High School. Non-traditional starting blocks must be approved by the meet referee. Athletes may have their shots/discs certified at the front gate opposite the concession stand, beginning at 11:30 am. 2:00 SHARP at the south end of the stadium (opposite the concession stand) for a short officials meeting regarding procedures and to answer any questions. SCRATCHES: DEADLINE FOR FIRST SESSION SCRATCHES WILL BE 2:30, DEADLINE FOR THE FINAL SESSION SCRATCHES WILL BE 5:30pm. Athletes who are not scratched and fail to report to the clerk will be disqualified from that event with the event counting toward limits of participation. Advancing athletes will be Heat winners and then the fastest times to fill all remaining available lanes. INFIELD AREA ACCESS TO TRACK & BULLPEN AREA! 2 of! 5 Only participating athletes will be allowed in the infield area to warm up for their event. A designated Coach s Box will be set along the back stretch for coaches with the supplied passes. Access to the track from the stands will be via gates located at the North and South ends of the straightaway. Athletes are NOT to jump the fence to gain access to the track. Athletes will be called to the bullpen area at the North end of the field, where heats will be set, then led to the track by the clerk.

3 TENTS: Team tents may be used in the designated area behind the visitor bleachers. TRAINER: A certified trainer will be on duty throughout the meet. Please supply your own tape for ankles, etc. BUS PARKING: Buses should park in the bus loop off of the second entrance from Johns Road (East of the High School) The school day ends at 2:13, so please attempt to arrange arrivals of atheletes well before or after that time AND. Please, please inform your athletes to stay out of the school. CONCESSION STAND: HOSPITALITY: ADMISSION: Full service concession stand will be available. LVC Championship T-shirts will be for sale Available after the coaches meeting, for coaches and meet staff only. $5.00 for everyone. NO PASSES ACCEPTED! DRESSING FACILITIES: Please dress at home. There will not be any facilities available. The school is off limits to athletes unless weather threatens. INCLEMENT WEATHER: Local district policy will govern weather decisions. In the case of severe storms, shelter may be found in the high school gymnasium. JURY OF APPEALS: To be determined at the Coaches/Seed Meeting on May 9th RESULTS: Results will be available online during the meet PRESS: Electronic results will be sent to the following after the meet: The Detroit News and The Oakland Press. AWARDS: Coaches may pick up all awards won by athletes in the press box 10 minutes after the conclusion of the final event. Team trophies will be awarded on the track. PRESS BOX: For exclusive use of officials during the meet.! 3 of! 5

4 ORDER OF EVENTS: In all running events, the BOYS will run FIRST. 4 X 800 RELAY: The BOYS relay will be the FIRST final running event of the day. It will be run no earlier that 4:00 P.M. prior to the preliminary races. One section each of the boys and girls. POLE VAULT: GIRLS: (AQ 9 0 ) START TIME 2:00 Starting height and raises will be determined at the May 9th meeting This event will be run in rotation of five alive. BOYS: (AQ 12 0 ) HIGH JUMP: BOYS: (AQ 5 10 ) START TIME 3:00 Starting height and raises will be determined at the May 9th meeting This event will be run in rotation of five alive. GIRLS: (AQ 4 10 ) LONG JUMP: GIRLS: (AQ 15 7 ) START TIME 3:00 Preliminary jumps from 3:00-4:00 in open order. Three attempts with the top nine jumpers advancing to the finals for 3 more attempts. BOYS: (AQ ) Open order for one hour and fifteen minutes with the top nine advancing to the finals. SHOT PUT: BOYS: (AQ 45 0 ) START TIME 3:00 Event will be run in flights of no more than 9 per flight, (best throwers LAST) each flight taking two trials the first round and one trial in the second round. Top nine advance to the finals (best throwers last) 10 minutes after the finish of the preliminaries. GIRLS: (AQ 32 7 ) Thirty minutes after conclusion of the boys final. DISCUS: GIRLS: (AQ 98 0 ) START TIME 3:00 Event will be run in flights of no more than 8 per flight, (best throwers LAST) each flight taking two trials in the first round and one trial in the second round. Top nine advance to the finals (best throwers last). Finals 10 minutes after the finish of the preliminaries. BOYS: (AQ )Thirty minutes after conclusion of the girls finals.! 4 of! 5
