4 WELCOME TO IRONMAN BAHRAIN Welcome to the IRONMAN 70.3 Middle East Championship. Make sure you know what your role and area will be during the event and try solving all the doubts you may have. Please keep your phone on and charged all the time, use the Contact List that you will find in this manual and don t forget smiling to our athletes. If you are responsible of course or site, ask also for all the special information related to your specific area. Remember that this is an IRONMAN event, get ready for hard working days, problems to solve and last minute changes. 7 SWIM (ONLY ONE TRANSITION) One Lap Course, Bahrain Bay hosts the start and the swim of IRONMAN 70.3 Bahrain. A one lap of 1.9km will begin and finish at the Bahrain bay

9 BIKE (ONLY ONE TRANSITION) One Lap Course, Exiting transition 1 from the Bahrain Bay, participants will cycle through an extremely interesting bike course. Riding from the landmark Twisted tower in Bahrain Bay through the city, participants will pass vital landmarks such as Bahrain World Trade Center, Bahrain Financial Harbor, Dilmun Burial Mounds, National Charter Monument and Bahrain International Circuit and then back to Bahrain Bay.

13 RUN (ONLY ONE TRANSITION) Moving out of transition 1 from Bahrain Bay, the four loop run course will loop around the Bahrain Bay, giving spectators more chances to cheer on their athletes. Families and friends will enjoy watching and waiting for their loved ones to finish right next to the Twisted Tower in Bahrain Bay itself, where the finish line will be situated.

15 IRONGIRL Moving out of transition 1 from Bahrain Bay, the Two loop run course will loop around the Bahrain Bay. The finish line is right next to the Twisted Tower in Bahrain Bay.
