9 Check-in procedure Athletes Lounge Uniform + race gear check (name, country, logos, ITU logo, zippers, race caps) photos taken of each uniform. Wearing other uniform during the race = DSQ Body marking check (both arms, both legs) Swim cap distribution Timing chip distribution Leave your bags in the Bag Drop off near Recovery Area (use race number bag sticker) 10

17 Swim course 11 July 2018 Water temperature: 16.6 ºC at noon Wetsuit - will be announced 1h before start Air temperature: 24.6 ºC 1 lap 1000m, clockwise RED buoys to right side GREEN buoys to your left side Distance to the first turn buoy +/- 400m Swim cut-off as per ITU competition rules Elite/U23/Juniors 30 min Take cap, goggles to the transition and deposit all used equipment in the box 18

19 Swim behavior Swim behavior will be closely monitored Athletes are not to impede the forward progress of another athlete during the swim segment, or they will receive a time penalty, which will be served on the run. This includes, but not limited to: Contacting another athlete or their equipment which results in that athlete being slowed or stopped Changing direction which results in blocking another athlete. Repeated occurrences by an athlete during the swim segment will result in DSQ. Unsportsmanlike behavior will result in DSQ and possible suspension. 20

23 Run Penalty Box Run penalty box is for infringements in Swim, T1 and Run e.g.: swim behavior, equipment outside your box, littering, etc. If you incur a penalty, you will find your number plus a letter code indicating the nature of the infraction: S = Swim Conduct L = Littering For example: 12S 2x12SE E = Equipment Outside Box V = Other Violations athlete #12 received a time penalty for a Swim conduct violation athlete #12 received 2 time penalties for swim conduct and equipment outside the box violations 24

24 Post-race procedure When you finish, keep moving through to the mixed-zone and recovery area Anti-Doping Procedures Photo ID is needed for every athlete to go for testing Team Medical Access Team medical will only be allowed to enter the medical tent after ITU Medical Delegate s permission. Every NF can have 1 team medical accreditation. Team doctors should register with the ITU Medical Delegate! 25

25 Medal Ceremony 17:15-18:30 Medal ceremony for ALL categories starting with Elite, U23, Juniors at Middelfart Marina All medallists to be present by 17:00 next to the stage Please dress up as per the ITU Competition rules :» 2.8 c.) (i) Athletes must wear the uniform during the entire competition and award ceremony. Long sleeves and long pants are allowed for the award ceremony» Elite/U23/Junior athletes are not allowed to carry their country flag on the podium; there will be flags raising with the playing of the national anthem of the winner. 26
