The Sprint event will be held on the campus and surrounds of the Australian Catholic University in Banyo and the Middle in the Scribbly Gums Reserve, Alexandra Hills. The Long Distance event is being held in the Bayview Reserve at Redland Bay.

2 Saturday 26th August 2017 Sprint Distance Championship Event Area: Australian Catholic University Campus, Banyo Getting there: The best access coming from the north or south is off the Gateway Motorway and onto Nudgee Rd. Allow 15 minutes from the Brisbane airport. Start Times: Terrain: Catering: From 9:00am An urban environment comprising sports grounds, council reserves and education facilities. Riding on Open Land, Open Land with Scattered Trees and Rough Open Land is allowed for this stage. Some controls will be placed in off-track locations. A previous map can be viewed at No food/drink will be available at the event. There are local cafes at the nearby service centre beside the Gateway Motorway. Saturday 26th August 2017 Middle Distance Championship Event Area: Scribbly Gums Reserve, Alexandra Hills. Getting there: From the Sprint Event travel south across the Gateway Bridge, then head towards Cleveland on Old Cleveland Road and turn south into McDonald Rd. Travel time is approximately 30min. Start Times: Terrain: Catering: From 1.00pm The forest trails are undulating to hilly. The tracks vary from fast gravel to technical single track through the forest. Riding on Open Land is allowed for this stage. A previous map can be viewed at No food/drink will be available at the event. There are local cafes on Old Cleveland Road.

3 Sunday 27 th August 2017 Long Distance Championship Event Area: Bayview Reserve Getting there: The assembly area at the Kindilan Outdoor Education Centre on Days Rd Redland Bay, is a 17km 20 minute drive from Alexandra Hills. Start Times: Terrain: From 9:00am The reserve is undulating to hilly with tracks varying from fast gravel down to groomed single track through the native forest. Much of the single track network is directional (one-way riding only), and riders will need to obey all track directions, which will be marked on the map. Riding on Open Land is allowed for this stage. A previous map can be viewed at Catering and Presentations: Food and drinks will be available at the assembly area during and after the event. Details in the final bulletin. Presentations and spot prize draw will be held at the conclusion of the event before 1pm on Sunday. Start Lists: Start lists for all events will be available in Eventor after the close of entries. If you require an early or late start contact the Organiser before 20 th August.

Instructions on how to enter 1 or 2 stages are available on the event listing in Eventor. Accommodation: We suggest you look for a place to stay in the vicinity of the Middle or Long Distance event locations. The Saturday night dinner will also be in the same area. Look in the suburbs of Alexandra Hills, Cleveland, Thornlands or Victoria Point.

7 TECHNICAL INFORMATION The Australian MTBO Competition Rules will apply to all events. This event is 'Mixed Punching'. You can use your current SportIdent stick or reserve an SI Air stick at no cost, allowing you to experience 'contactless' punching. SI Air sticks can be purchased for $105 when you enter. Further information on SI Air is available on the Event Website ( ). There will be opportunities to test contactless punching at each event. Please note that during these events, it is only permitted to ride on tracks which are marked on the map, on marked routes shown on the map and distinguished with flagging tape, or on open areas of ground shown on the map as open land or rough open land and indicated as permissible to ride on the legend. Championship places for each class will be determined by the cumulative time taken by each competitor for the three stages. Complaints: Any complaints or protests must be submitted within 15 minutes of the last competitor in their class finishing.
