2 VENUE Crowborough Leisure Centre, Eridge Road, TN6 2TN, A freedom Leisure run centre. EVENT TIMETABLE NOTE: ALL COMPETITORS Registration opens Registration closes Race Briefing Race Start. (Order: Nov 1, Nov 2, TS1, TS2, Adult Novice, TS3, Youth,) Estimated Call Up & Start times (Dependant on numbers on the day) Race Call Up(Rostrum) Start Novice 1 & TS TS Adult/ TS3/ Youth Event finish.(approx.) ARRIVAL Parking is in the main leisure centre car park, follow the event signs. REGISTRATION This will be 0n the track by the Finish area. / Or inside the leisure centre reception- weather dependant-follow signs. Each competitor will receive a race bag containing: One race number to be worn on the FRONT of the running top. Competitors will have a coloured wrist band to wear during the event. Numbered black sack for swim kit. 1 x neon pink 'photo' wristbands for family member taking pictures/video mum and dad please wear these. You will be 'Body marked' with your race number on your upper RIGHT ARM and RIGHT CALF RACE BRIEFING (9.45am) This will be held down next to the finish, so Novice 1 & 2 please be changed and ready to go. LAY OUT OF KIT (poolside) Each race will be called to gather at the rostrum prior to going to the pool. The children will need their shoes, swim kit, numbered sack. Member of the Team will escort the children to the poolside to lay out kit. Parents can view the swim from the pool balcony ONLY, no access to poolside. 3 Children will be asked to lay out their kit prior to the start of their age group, or before if space allows. WELFARE Children Welfare Officer is Jacqui Smith, she will be wearing the hi-vis RED vest marked Welfare Officer Children changing for the event, please use the leisure centre changing area. Not this will be in public use, parents please supervise. If you do not wish pictures of your child in individual shots to be used on the Kidstri website or publicity, please ask for the GOLD NO PICTURES wrist band. This must be worn by the child at all times If your child has non-declared health issues please see the Welfare Officer, who will in turn inform the 1 st Aid team. 4 The Novice 1,2/ Tristar 1 will be divided into groups of their colour start (Colour of wrist band) and will start in the water INDIVIDUALLY 30seconds apart The swim course will be a 'snake swim' for the tristars 1- see above * Slide into the water no diving * Keeping right in the lane swim to the end.(snake-swim) * Swim back on the other side * Reaching the end of the lane at the shallow end, go under the lane rope to the next lane. * Swim on the right to the end * Swim back on the other side of the lane. * At the end of the lane at shallow end again go under the lane rope to the next lane AND SO ON until you have no more lanes left. * Climb out. SAFETY RULES: NO TUMBLETURNS, NO DIVING, GIVE WAY AT END OF LENGTH IF TOES ARE TOUCHED. TRANSITION After putting on shoes (ensuring laces are tied) T-shirt/top fully on and/or Race number belt with the race number showing on the FRONT. All swim belongings into the numbered sack (towel, googles etc.) Exit via the fire exit at the DEEP end. Time will be manually taken at this point, so we must see the number. Drop the numbered sack with the marshals and run along marked course to the running track. RUN SECTION Each lap is 767m/ Short lap = 400m - course will be marked by cones and arrows. LINK to RUN COURSE In all cases competitors run the Short Lap(400m) first (once around the track- collect RED band). It is the responsibility of the competitor to complete the lapped course correctly. COLLECTING RUN BANDS: Novice 1 do not need to collect any band for their one complete lap of the track (0.5Lap)- then into the finish. All others will need to collect a RED band after completing the short lap. Start of All Laps a different colour band will be issued to all. e.g. 3.5Laps = 4 bands + 1 x RED band.(ts3/ Y). On completion of correct number of laps take route to the finish line. FINISH The finish awaits the competitor and the reward of an event medal, a drink and the roar of the crowd.

RESULTS The full interim results will be posted on the web on the same evening. Any issues are to be raised with the race organiser ASAP. Your help will be needed to count laps I am sure. Please carry out instructions of marshals and most importantly cheer ALL the children around the course PRIZES Prizes to the Tristar 1,2,3 & Youth top three boy girl will be after all races complete. Novice events are participation only no trophies awarded. TOILETS/ CHANGING These will be in the Leisure Centre FIRST AID Supplied by East Medical Services medical and will be positioned in the field next to the Finish. CATERING Tea/ coffee and cakes, crisps etc available at the leisure centre. PUBLIC ADDRESS Music and commentary through the event will start at 9am, please listen out for announcements that may affect the race, we will try and give you a name check around the course. PHOTOGRAPHY All parents taking pictures/video must be wearing the 'photos' wrist band, two of which are in the race pack you get from registration. No photography in the pool hall. GINGER IMAGES, our official photography, will be taking pictures which will be posted on a secure server. The link and password will be ed out to competitor addresses shortly after the event. 7 WEATHER / POOL FAILURE If wet, on grounds of safety, the event may be shortened at the discretion of the race organiser. BASIC RULES: * Ensure race number is visible at all times on the FRONT. * Do not block other competitors. * Footwear must be worn on all parts of the outdoor course. * Only competitors are allowed on the course area during the race. * AND HAVE FUN!! CHECK ON RUN LAPS A check on number of run laps will be made and processed prior to the presentations. If a competitor has not completed the correct number of laps then we will try to speak to the competitor/parent before the presentations. Not completing the course will mean no finishing place in the race. VOLUNTEERS If any person in your family can help out at the event, please go on-line and complete the contact form. We will need people to hand out water and run bands as well as help at the finish, also to help record times on a PDA device (very easy). A goodie bag and a free entry into a KidstriUK event for next year is on offer.
