2 December 19, 2012 Welcome to the OU Medicine Corporate Challenge 2013 This year, we are proudly celebrating the competition s 25th anniversary. When it was launched a uarter of a century ago, Corporate Challenge had one simple goal in mind: to bring Oklahoma City businesses and their employees together for a weekend of athletic competition, team-building and general goodwill. The event has evolved over time, raising money for charity and boosting physical fitness awareness, but at its heart, the Corporate Challenge remains the same, bringing good people together to do great things. Once again, the event will raise money for a great charitable cause, the UCO Endeavor Games, which is an athletic competition for athletes with physical disabilities. Last year, we raised more than $50,000 for the games and this year, we hope to exceed that total with the help of Corporate Challenge participants. This packet will provide you with an overview of the three-day competition, including athletic events, awards, general rules and company sponsorship packages. It also includes registration information to help get your company started today. Please turn in your registration forms no later than March 13, A luncheon for team captains will be scheduled shortly thereafter to distribute additional information and answer uestions. Staging a three-day athletic competition for dozens of businesses and hundreds of employees is no small task and reuires many players. We greatly appreciate the support provided by our many longtime Corporate Challenge partners and we look forward to welcoming our new participants. Whether you come for the competition or the camaraderie, we know you and your organization will benefit from the Corporate Challenge. 3 OU Medicine Corporate Challenge allows companies in the Oklahoma City metro area to participate as teams and compete in all the listed events. Each event will award a first, second, and third place award. The cumulative score for all the events determine the first through third overall winners in each of the company divisions, and the company with the most points overall wins the distinguished OU Medicine Corporate Challenge Cup! Cycling One man and one woman per team; 5k cycle around State Capitol. 5k Run Five men and five women per team; 5k run around State Capitol. One man and one woman from each age category. 10k Run One man and one woman per team; 10k run around State Capitol. Mile Run Five men and five women per team. One man and one woman from each age category. 55-Meter Sprint Five men and five women per team. One man and one woman from each age category. Co-Ed Shuttle Relay Two men and two women per team. Sprint Relay Four men and four women per team. Executive Relay Four members of company management; male or female; cumulative age of the four runners must be a minimum of 160 years. 50-yard Freestyle Swim One man and one woman per team. Co-Ed Freestyle Swimming Relay Two men and two women per team. Dodgeball (across company divisions for title) Three men and three women per team. 3-on-3 Basketball Six men and six women per team, which includes three substitutes. Co-Ed Obstacle Course Two men and two women per team. 1-Mile Walk Ten participants per team. Kids Corporate 10k Children ages Five participants per team. Kids Corporate Fitness Challenge Children ages Only ten participants per team eligible for points; all children are encouraged to participate! Event Volunteers Five men and/or women per team. 1-Mile Wheelchair Event Ten participants per team. Home Run Derby Two men and two women per team. Awards OU Medicine Corporate Challenge participants enjoy the satisfaction of winning when they are honored at the awards ceremony with first, second, and third-place awards. Approximately one week after the event, OU Medicine hosts an awards ceremony for company team captains. Teams in each company division placing first through third receive plaues for their efforts and the top scoring company receives the coveted Corporate Cup award. As well, sponsorship plaues, tent-gating (spirit) award, best company t-shirt in each division, and top fundraising company awards are given. Age Categories: 29 and under

6 The 14th Annual UCO EndeavorGames for athletes with Physical Disabilities - June 6-9, 2013 Dear Potential OU Medicine Corporate Challenge Company Representative: Beginning in 2011, the OU Medicine Corporate Challenge went to a new level by adding philanthropic activities to an already wonderful event. As part of this initiative, teams competing in the OU Medicine Corporate Challenge now generate financial support for another great local event, the University of Central Oklahoma Endeavor Games. The University of Central Oklahoma s annual Endeavor Games provides children, adults and military service members with physical disabilities opportunities to display their talents in an appropriate and competitive setting, against individuals with similar disabilities. The event is the largest of its kind in the country. Athletes compete in archery, wheelchair basketball, powerlifting, cycling, shooting, track and field, sitting volleyball, table tennis and triathlon. This year s Endeavor Games takes place the week following the OU Medicine Corporate Challenge, on June 6-9, Over the past two years, OU Medicine Corporate Challenge-participating companies have raised more than $86,000 to benefit the Endeavor Games with more than $54,000 donated during These funds supported the event in a variety of ways, including providing scholarships, adaptive sports euipment and awards for the competitors. Additionally, that money also helped the Endeavor Games continue to host record numbers of local, national and even international sports competitors. As the 2013 OU Medicine Corporate Challenge draws closer, I want to thank you in advance for your support of these outstanding disabled athletes.
