Port/aft lazarette o Unknown Head(s) M has two electric marine heads, one located in the forward v berth, and one located amidships to port. he DC switch to get power to the heads is found on the DC Panel. One DC switch activates both heads. Each head is flushed using a three button mini panel. he flush options are o Low (less water in bowl) o Normal o Empty (to be used in rough seas) When the flush button is pushed, there is a slight delay, then the bowl flushes and refills with the appropriate amount of water. Both heads are plumbed to use fresh water. If the holding tank is full, the head will not flush! o he forward holding tank is pumped out via a deck fitting located forward on the port side. o he amidships holding tank is pumped out via a deck fitting located to starboard near the stern. 4 Hold ank Gauge Fresh Water System here is a gauge in the aft head where you can check how full the holding tank is for each head. urn on the MACERAOR(S) breaker to activate the gauge. Select the tank to view. Remember to switch the macerator breaker off after viewing. anks and locations here are two fresh water tanks totaling 75 gallons o Forward (v berth) tank deck fill is located on the starboard side of the bow. o he starboard tank deck fill is located amidships to starboard. o Clearly marked shut off valves are under the galley sink. o When the pressure pump runs on rather than building pressure and stopping immediately, you know it is time to switch tanks. M uses a lot of fresh water. he heads flush with fresh water, and the anchor wash is fresh water. ALWAYS top off both water tanks prior to departure! Engine Fuel Engine access is obtained by tilting the companionway steps forward he dipstick is located to the left as you face the motor. he coolant reservoir and pressure cap for the heat exchanger is to the right. he stuffing box can be seen by looking over the top of the motor here is an engine room light mounted over the motor. he switch to turn the light on is located in the hallway between the engine room and the galley. he POR CABIN LIGHS switch on the AC/DC panel must be on for the light to work. anks and locations M has three diesel fuel tanks, two for the axillary motor, and one for the generator. Diesel fuel deck fittings are located o Starboard, near the transom o Port, near the transom o Port, amidships Manifold/shut off valves are located in the engine compartment. he fuel tank gauge is located on the panel on the aft side of the binnacle. he Engine DC switch must be on, and the key turned to the run position. 5 Generator o use: Slide open the teak panel labeled Generator beneath the AC/DC electrical panel. Press ON Press and hold HEA for five seconds Press SAR. he generator will start immediately. Stove he propane tank is in a coaming locker on the starboard side, near the transom. he LPG SOLENOID switch is located on the right side of the DC electrical panel above the navigation station. A red light to the right of the switch signals that the electrical safety valve is open. o light the stove top burners, turn the propane on and activate the LPG solenoid. Push the burner knob in and turn to the IGN position. While holding the knob in, press the igniter button on the left side of the stove face plate until the burner lights. Hold the knob in for 10 to 15 seconds after lighting to allow the thermocouple to heat up. o light the oven. Light the right front burner. Allow it to burn 1 minute to purge the system of air. urn the oven thermostat knob to the Pilot position. Hold in the red oven safety button (right side of stove face plate). Hold a match or lighter to the pilot light on the right side of oven, under the floor plate. Once the pilot is lit, continue holding the safety button in while the thermocouple heats up. Once the pilot will stay lit, turn the oven thermostat to the desired heat setting. Microwave M is equipped with a microwave for use while connected to shore power. Refrigeration here is one refrigerator (with a freezer box) and one ice box on M. Electrical power for the refrigeration unit is activated by switch located on the DC Panel. Barbeque Heater Propane for the barbeque is plumbed to the primary boat propane tank. Using the hose and quick disconnect (located in the propane locker), plug the auxiliary hose into the control on the grill. Make sure the valve on the tank is turned on and the yellow auxiliary valve is on. urn on the LPG SOLENOID switch on the DC panel. he BBQ may now be used like normal. When done, stow the BBQ by reversing the steps above. he heater control is located at the navigation station, beneath the V. he toggle switch to the right of the thermostat turns the system on and off. he green light indicates the system is on. he thermostat controls the temperature. 6 Electrical System AC DC A 30 amp AC plug enters the boat at the transom. he Main AC breaker is located in the starboard transom lazarette. he AC panel is located above the navigation station, on the right side of the electrical panel. Green dots are found on the following switches, which MUS be left in the on position when the boat is secured. o SHORE POWER MAIN BREAKER 30 AMP DUAL (a green light below and to the right of the switch indicates AC power is on) o INVERER In order to run any AC (plug in) equipment (heaters, phone chargers, etc.) one or both of the following switches must be in the on position. o SBD OULES o POR OULES he main battery selector switches are located aft of the galley next to the engine compartment hatch. he selector switch should remain on Both at all times. A second selector having only on/off positions directs electricity to the engine starter. he Main DC breaker is located between the two selector switches. his switch must be in the on position for the DC system to work. Shore Power to Ship Power Just below the electrical panel, behind the teak sliding door on the right, is the Charger/Inverter and a switch labeled SHORE AND SHIP. For everything to work properly, this needs to be in the SHIP position when leaving the dock, and SHORE after returning. Bow hruster Inverter o use AC appliances while not connected to shore power requires the use of the inverter. Slide open the aft teak panel below the AC/DC electrical panel. Press INVERER to turn on the inverter. urn on the appropriate port/starboard breaker(s) to energize the AC outlets. URN OFF the inverter after use. Leaving on WILL discharge the batteries! M is set up with a bow thruster. he push button switch to activate it is on the port side of the binnacle. o activate, push and release the button. While it is beeping, press a second time. Press the arrow button to move the bow in the direction the arrow points. o turn off, press and release the button. HE BOW HRUSER IS ONLY O BE USED DURING DEPARURE AND DOCKING! WSC Check Out

7 Anchor and Ground ackle Primary and Secondary Anchors he primary anchor is located in a bow roller and feeds into an anchor locker located at the bow. he windlass breaker is located on the side of the settee across from the navigation station. Windlass use o he anchor is deployed Automatically using the windlass foot operated activation buttons in the anchor locker. Manually, with the assist of the windlass. Speed of deployment is controlled by using a break bar, found attached to a lanyard in the anchor locker. o A foot operated electrical switch is used to retrieve the anchor. he secondary anchor is hanging from the starboard side of the stern pulpit. he rode is flat webbing, rolled up on a spool mounted above the anchor. he secondary anchor is deployed and retrieved manually. Anchor Wash Down here is a fresh water anchor wash located in the anchor locker. Wash the anchor when it is clear of the water, but prior to bringing it aboard. DO NO use the windlass to raise the anchor onto the bow roller. he final lift should be done by hand. As always, the windlass should never be used to pull the weight of the boat to the anchor. he motor should be used to position the boat over the anchor, and the windlass used to retrieve the slack rode. Windlass he circuit breaker for the windlass is located in the main salon 6 inches above the cabin sole, on the side of the settee directly across from the navigation table. Leave the windlass on at all times. A red light indicates the windlass is energized. WSC Check Out

8 Running Rigging M has a roller furling mainsail, and a roller furling jib. he running rigging is routed through two clutch assemblies located under the dodger on the cabin top. One to each side of the companionway. Lines found in these clutches are: Port clutch package o MAIN SHEE o DOWN MAIN o BOOM VANG o MAIN HALYARD o OPPING LIF Starboard clutch package o SPINNAKER HALYARD o JIB HALYARD o FORGUY o MAIN OUHAUL Mainsail (NEVER USE A WINCH O DEPLOY OR FURL HE MAINSAIL!) o deploy the mainsail turn head to wind o Open DOWN MAIN and MAIN OUHAUL o Pull the MAIN OUHAUL line BY HAND, while maintaining tension of the DOWN MAIN line. o furl the Mainsail turn head to wind o Open DOWN MAIN and MAIN OUHAUL o Pull the DOWN MAIN line BY HAND, while maintaining tension of the MAIN OUHAUL line. o Engine Start Up and Shut Down Key location he key is located on the port side of the binnacle urn the key clockwise to the run. Press the button labeled Start. Allow the motor to warm up completely at 800 to 1000 RPM prior to going anywhere. Shut down Press the Stop button to shut down the motor. he key must be on to use the Stop button.
