1 THERMAIKOS BAY NAUTICAL CLUB NOTICE OF RACE INTERNATIONAL REGATTA 17 TH THERMAIKOS CUP SEPTEMBER VENUE The International Regatta 17 TH THERMAIKOS CUP, will be held on of September 2018, and organized by the Thermaikos Bay Nautical Club, under the authority of the Municipality of Thermaikos and the Greek Sailing Federation. 2. FIELD OF RACES 2.1 The Races will take place in front of the coast line of Thermaikos 2.2 The secretarial of the Races will be stationed on the Club s Premises. 2.3 The athletes vessels, as well as the escorting inflatables of the teams will be hosted on the beach in front of the Club s Premises. 3. CLASSES (overall - girls), LASER 4.7 (overall girls), LASER RADIAL (overall), LASER STD (overall), OPTIMIST (overall boys - girls young boys young girls), Division II (A,B,C) 3.2 Participation of at least 4 boats of the same Class in the Race is a compulsory condition to fulfill a Class. 3.3 The race for the Division II is included in the official program of ID2CA and affects the annual ranking list by coefficient 1. All participants must be at least base members of ID2CA and use equipment (boards and sails) tagged with ID2CA stickers. 3.4 For the Division II class there will take place a Ranking List Match Race and extra sailing instructions will be included. 4. REGULATIONS 4.1 Races will be conducted in accordance to: (a) World sailing Racing Sailing Rules (WSRRS) (b) The Notice of Race (c) The Sailing Instructions (d) The Classes Rules 4.2 The Races are classified in Category B - Supplement G RRS 4.3 Sailing Instructions may alter the rules of the previous paragraphs, wherever allowed by the Rules.

REGISTRATIONS - ENTRY FEE - REGISTRATIONS 5.1 Clubs and sailors must register to the organizing Club the latest by Tuesday, by completing and sending the registration form to the noathgr@yahoo.gr, or by fax at: Sailing Instructions will be provided from the Races Secretarial, at the Club s premises. 5.3 The escorting motorboats must be registered at the Races Secretarial by Tuesday, There will be no Entry Fee for the participating Athletes. 6. THE RACES TIME SCHEDULE 6.1 Thursday :00-21:00 Arrivals Registrations Friday :00-21:00 Arrivals Registrations Friday :00-11:15 Skippers Meeting Division II Friday :30 Match Race Division II Saturday :00 12:00 Arrivals- Registrations Saturday :00 Skippers Meeting Saturday :00 Races Sunday :00 Races Sunday Prize giving ceremony after the end of the Races 6.2 No more than four (4) races will be held per day 6.3 In case 5 or more races are completed, one may be excluded. The Regatta is considered valid, when 1 race is completed. 6.4 Time limit for the start procedure of the last race on Sunday is 17: COURSE The course of the Races will be shown on the Sailing instructions. 8. SAFETY INSURANCE MOTORBOAT OPERATORS 8.1 The escorting Motorboats must be registered at the Secretary of the Races, and their Operators will be responsible for their proper handling. 8.2 Mandatory is the relevant operating license for the speedboat operators, as well as the Third party Liability insurance contracts of both the racing sailboats and the escorting motorboats to participate in the Races. 8.3 Mandatory is also the use of the kill-switch or the quick-stop device from the speedboat operators at all times during the Races. 9. LIABILITIES 9.1 All athletes participate under the fundamental Rule 4, RRS WS. 9.2 The Organizers bear no responsibility for damages or accidents happening to personnel or materials ashore or inshore during the Races. 10. VESSELS & ATHLETES HOSTING 10.1 Sailboats of the Athletes as well as the escorting motorboats of the teams will be hosted in the Club s premises The Organizing Committee will provide lunch boxes to the competing athletes, to the coaches, as well as the personnel of the racing Committee.

3 11. PRIZE GIVING CEREMONY 11.1 Prizes will be given to the first three winners of every Category The prize ceremony will take place at the premises of the club on Sunday after the end of the races. The President of T.B.N.C Odysseas Panagiotidis
