Series winners are: 1 st Mustang Sally 2 nd Necessit e 3 rd Norma Jeane All results and series scores can be found on the club web-site. Big thanks to Graeme and Lindy from Joint Venture who did an awesome job in the tower. The club will be open after the race so also a great opportunity to come back for drinks and a meal after the race. More details to follow shortly ON DUTY: Sandy McPherson and the Duty Boat is Aphrodite MYC EVENTS: MYC / SBSC LONG COURSE SERIES: NAVIGATORS RACE (19/12/15) Well done to Steve Richardson and the crew from Bushranger who were the only SBSC representative in the Navigators race We hope to see a much bigger representation of SBSC boats for the next Long Course event on the 8 th Jan. SPORT PHILLIP FRIDAY PURSUIT SERIES #2 The first race in Series #2 will be held on Friday 15 th January so make a note in the diary. Start Sheet will be sent out soon. ENSIGN SHIP BROKER CLUB CHAMP. 3 2015 O'pen Bic Worlds Up Date Begining Sunday 27th Dec This Article was reported on Sail World O'pen Bic class Pre Worlds Regatta ready to roll by AOBCA Association 2015 O'pen Bic class Pre Worlds Regatta - This weekend sees the start of the O'pen Bic class Pre Worlds Regatta at Safety Beach Sailing Club. This event is the lead up event to the 2015 World O'pen Cup, the first time it will be held in the southern hemisphere for this very exciting ISAF Junior skiff. This weekend s event will see over 70 competitors take to the waters off Safety Beach, located on Port Philip Bay south of Melbourne. Many of the overseas competitors have arrived from GER, CZE, NZL, JPN, FRA. With the support of Bic Australia all the overseas competitors are able to charter a new boat for the event among the competitors it reads as the 'who is who' of the class with current World Champions, European Champions and both state and National Champions taking part across three age divisions U13.U16 and U19. With already 122 Competitors entered for the World O'pen Cup starting on Dec 27th excitement is building with the support of Forward Sailing,Optimum Time and OTB Marine its looking at the best event ever down under. Mackintosh Casting is a Melbourne based professional casting company currently casting a fantastic campaign for the Department of Health. You can check out what they They are currently researching a lot of sports for a TV commercial and need teenage girls who sail at an intermediate level. If you are able to contact any girls who may be suitable, or even share our post on your Facebook page we would be incredibly grateful. ting/posts/ They are looking to cast Victorian based young women. BIC Sport s Marketing Manager Benoit Treguilly has decided to join us for the Worlds, however he s decision was made pretty late and he has not been able to find accommodation at a reasonable cost.
