1 Flotilla to the Gulf and San Juan Islands You are invited to participate in our June 20 27, 2014 Gulf and San Juan Islands Flotilla. Just north of the San Juan Islands lie the Gulf Islands of British Columbia. This string of unspoiled islands boasts sheltered waters, magnificent marine parks, quiet villages and an abundance of welcoming marinas. Wildlife abounds on the land and in the sea, with deer, bald eagles, seals, sea lions and orca whales commonplace. Our sailing route will include overnights at anchor or moorings often in marine provincial parks, as well as docked in marinas at small villages or resorts. Our likely destinations for 2014 are: Bellingham Beautiful, historic seaside town of Bellingham WA, just south of the Canadian border will be our port of departure and return. Major airline service or shuttle from SEATAC. Montague Harbour on Galiano Island Montague Harbour Marine BC Provincial Park is rich in natural and cultural history. White shell beaches, open meadows, tidal lagoons, towering forests, craggy headlands and abundant bird life are just a few of the things that attract visitors to this park. Poets Cove, South Pender Island The Gulf Islands premier luxury resort. Tucked away in Bedwell Harbour on Pender Island, British Columbia, this spot offers elegance in the midst of incredible natural beauty of a provincial marine park.

2 Maple Bay, Vancouver Island Maple Bay is a picturesque seaside community located in the Cowichan Valley of southern Vancouver Island. The town is at the head of a narrow inlet and is surrounded by smooth, pebbled beaches. We ll dine at the historic Quamichan Inn. Butchart Gardens, Vancouver Island We anchor in Todd Inlet and dinghy over to the Gardens for an amazing experience of horticultural excellence. The fabulous city of Victoria, capital of British Columbia, is also only a short bus or taxi ride away. Ganges, Salt Spring Island The village of Ganges, BC, is on Salt Spring Island, which is known as a center of artistic and crafts activities in the Gulf Islands. Ganges is a popular destination for boaters from all over the Pacific Northwest. Rosario Resort, Orcas Island Nestled at the base of Mt. Constitution is Rosario Resort. Once a mansion belonging to Seattle mayor and shipbuilding legend Robert Moran, this waterside resort offers island history, rugged scenery, fine dining, spa services and an outdoor pool. Roche Harbor on San Juan Island Roche Harbor is one of the island's most picturesque locations. Originally a Hudson's Bay Company trading post, today Roche Harbor is a scenic yachtsman's resort.

3 Book your 2014 flotilla now (in 2013) and we ll lock you in at these 2013 rates! Join fellow sailors in cruising the beautiful Gulf Island and San Juan Islands. This cruise offers a variety of excellent cruising destinations to discover, including elegant resorts, small island towns and idyllic anchorages. Planned stops include luxurious Poet's Cove Resort (South Pender Island), peaceful Montague Harbor (Galiano Island), picturesque Maple Bay (Vancouver Island), vibrant Butchart Gardens, artistic Ganges Harbor (Saltspring Island), circa 1880's Roche Harbor (San Juan Island), and elegant Rosario Resort (Orcas Island). Agenda: Friday, June 20 Arrive 3:30pm. Attend 4:30pm skippers meeting, followed by an onboard systems checkout. Stay aboard your boat (gear and grocery loading may begin following your onboard checkout) Friday evening. Saturday, June 21 (9am) through Friday, June 27 (noon) - Sailing in the US San Juan Islands & Canadian Gulf Islands. Notes: The prices listed by the boats include the charter fee for chartering your boat from 9am Saturday, June 21 through noon Friday, June 27, the daily damage waiver and liability coverage fee for your boat, the Friday (June 20) evening barbecue and preboard/sleepaboard, your skippers meeting, onboard systems checkout, ASA-hosted cruising party, flotilla fees/activities, linens & towels, dinghy with 2HP outboard and all applicable taxes. The flotilla price does NOT include provisioning, meals ashore, dock/moorage fees, or fuel. ASA membership is not required to participate. Your vessel s fuel tank will be full at the start of your charter and must be returned full. Please top off at the fuel dock in Bellingham. A $100 fuel top-off fee, plus the price of fuel, will apply if your vessel is not returned with a full tank. 20% of your all-inclusive price will be due at the time of booking, as a reservation deposit. After that the remainder of your balance will be due 60 days before your flotilla starts. Unless you have made other arrangements we will automatically charge the remainder of your balance to your credit card at that time. Please designate a skipper for your boat. The skipper will need to submit his/her sailing résumé to us for approval. Cancellation Policy: If you must cancel your charter 120 days or more prior to its start, your reservation deposit will be returned less a $100 processing fee. If you need to cancel within 120 days of your charter, all fees paid will be refunded if we re able to rebook the charter, less a $100 processing fee. Please carefully consider cancellation insurance. We suggest Travelguard ( Provisioning: There s a full-service grocery store (Haggen Food, 24 hours, ) including deli, meat counter and bakery, 5 minutes by car from SJS s docks (or a $10 taxi ride). Provisioning is also available at Roche Harbor and Ganges. Transportation Tips (directions on our website): June 2014 ASA Flotilla 1. Option A - Fly to Bellingham airport (BLI) via Delta, Horizon, or Allegiant Air. Both Delta and Horizon offer connections from other major airlines. Then taxi (approx. $15) from airport to San Juan Sailing. 2. Option B - Fly to SEA/TAC airport in Seattle (SEA), rent a car (both Hertz and Avis have a one-day, one-way, no-drop-off-charge) and drive (100 miles) to San Juan Sailing. Return the car to the Bellingham Airport before your charter starts and take a taxi back to SJS (approx. $15). Advantage: You ll have a car for easy provisioning.
