(Tuition includes mandatory 6.875% NM State sales tax of $34.38) A $300 deposit is due at the time of registration to hold a space in the class. The balance is due 30 days prior to the start of the training. *Please note, if you pay your deposit with a credit card, the balance will automatically be charged to the same card 30 days prior to the start of the class unless you request otherwise. Call our office to pay with your Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover card Tellington TTouch Training Cancellation Policy: Tellington TTouch Training reserves the right to cancel a session if necessary because of circumstances beyond our control or when enrollment is deemed insufficient. In this case all deposits, tuitions and the processing fees will be refunded. We recommend that you purchase flight and hotel insurance for each event for which you register. Tellington TTouch Training Participant Cancellation Policy: For cancellations made more than 30 days in advance of the training, a refund will be given minus a $100 administration fee. No refunds are possible for cancellations less than 30 days prior to the start of the training. If you have to cancel, $300 is nonrefundable but you may apply the rest of the deposit to another training that must be attended within one year of your cancellation date. Page 1 of 5

2 Training: Linda Tellington-Jones will be presenting a unique training, and the first of its kind ever delivered in the United States. Participants include four dressage riders whose horses will show the difference TTouch and Tellington Training makes through body work, ground exercises and the Tellington work under saddle including the Promise Wrap, the Balance Rein, and riding without a bridle. These techniques and lessons will demonstrate how to develop a more effective partnership for performance through the body, mind and spirit of both the horse and the rider. Ten other students without horses will be observing as well as practicing TTouch and ground work techniques which result in enhanced trust and performance, including reduced stress for improved well-being of these horses. Linda will also focus on some of the concepts she has written about in her book, Dressage with Mind, Body and Soul, including the importance of breathing and the concept that how you see your horse can affect their behavior, performance, health, and willingness to cooperate. The four dressage riders will each have an individual hour session with Linda and start applying what they ve learned. Meals: Water is a must all year long in this dry climate, so bring a water bottle. Water, tea and light snacks are provided at the training, however you will need to bring your own boxed lunch. Once out of town, stay to the right, and exit onto Rt Immediately take Ridgetop Road exit. Make a right turn on Ridgetop Road at the top of the ramp. (You will see a sign for Tano Road on Rt. 599) Go to the end of Ridgetop Rd. to Tano Road. Make a left. Go 2.5 miles total on Tano Road. Stay on left on Tano, NOT onto Tano Alto, which bears off to the right. Page 2 of 5

3 Near the end of the 2.5 miles, Tano makes a sweeping turn to the right and then up a hill. At the top of the hill, make a left turn on 85A. This is Tano West. (If you miss this turn, Tano turns to dirt.) Go approximately 1 mile to HeartStone Drive on the left. HeartStone is at the bottom of a hill. Make a left on HeartStone Drive. HeartStone Drive is gravel. Go up to the mail boxes in the middle of the road. You will see split rail fencing begin and a sign is posted for Ashwin Stable on the left. Turn left into driveway. the barn is at the end. Horse trailers continue over bridge and unload beside outdoor arena. Car parking will be designated by signs. From the South part of Santa Fe: (Approximately 10 minutes) From W. Alameda, take Nopal, which goes north. At the top of this hill on Nopal, bear left when the road splits. Follow this road, which is winding with stop signs. Ultimately it becomes the beginning of La Tierra Road. Pass under 599. Go through next 4-way stop (Wildflower) and take your immediate next right (Fin del Sendero). Follow Fin del Sendero to the end. Turn right at stop sign, onto Lluvia del Oro. Go approx. 3/4 mile, you will see a sign for Sundance Estates. Take a left at Sundance (actually it is Palentine, but says Sundance from this direction). Take an immediate right, which is also Sundance Drive. Sundance curves around and ends at Tano West. Make a right on Tano West. About 1/4 mile, HeartStone Drive is on your right. HeartStone Drive is gravel. Go up to the mail boxes in the middle of the road. You will see split rail fencing begin and a sign is posted for Ashwin Stable on the left. From the South, taking Rt. 599: Get off on exit La Tierra. Make a left at the end of the ramp, going under Rt Go through next 4-way stop (Wildflower) and take your immediate next right (Fin del Sendero). Follow Fin del Sendero to the end which is a stop sign. Bear right. This is Lluvia del Oro. Go approx. 3/4 mile, you will see a sign for Sundance Estates. From the North, Espanola/Taos area: From 285/84 heading south, exit on 168 Tesuque North exit. At end of ramp, make a right turn on CR-73 North, then immediate left onto W Frontage Rd that runs along 285/84. Continue until it turns into W Tano Road/ CR-72, bearing right. Go through stop sign at Ridgetop Road. From this point go 2.5 miles total on Tano Road. Stay on left on Tano, NOT Tano Alto, which bears off to the right. Car parking will be designated by signs. Equipment: TTEAM Wand, 4' White Dressage Whip TTEAM Lead with 28 chain or zephyr lead. The wand and lead are essential items for a TTEAM training. If you have them, bring them with you. If you do not have a wand and lead, they will be available for sale at the clinic. If you have any other TTEAM equipment, i.e., TTEAM driving lines, Balance Rein, Lindell or ace bandages, it would very helpful to have them on hand. Please be sure your items are well marked for easy identification. Equipment, videos and books will be available for purchase. Please watch it before you come to the training. THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW: Santa Fe is located at 7,000 feet above sea level in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains; it can take your body a day of two to adapt to the high altitude. Weather in the high desert is comfortably dry but can have rapid temperature changes. It is common to have 30-degree temperature differences between day and night. In April, the normal high is 67 F and normal low is 39 F. A hat and sunblock are recommended for protection from the sun at this elevation, and staying well hydrated is a must all year in this dry climate. Page 4 of 5
