Seat Tracks Harken tracks and ball bearing cars allow for the seats to be mechanically attached to the supplied tracks but allow the seats to be moved longitudinally in between races and fixed in position during racing with the pin stop cars. N/A Same width as existing tracks aluminium The tracks are bolted to the existing tracks and the seats are bolted to the ball bearing cars. Each seat can move independently and has 2 standard ball bearing cars and 2 ball bearing pinstop cars. Seats can be removed as easily as with supplied tracks. The tracks would not be removed whilst afloat. One-Off Production standard tracks as manufactured by Harken N/A Tracks have been approved for other Skuds and the equipment is quoted as being covered by class rules but class rules still state provided tracks hence this application. Seatbelt harness The equipment is a standard off the shelf climbing harness that is secured around the waist and the top of each leg. lines are connected to each side of the harness and two points at the back of the harness, each line has a loop at the end, a line that is secured to the base of the canting seat at one end is lead through all the loops then feed through a cleat also mounted on the base of the seat, it is pulled tight which pulls all 4 harness anchor points tight. The line can be quickly released at the cleat by the Crew, Helm or other person in an emergency situation. This seatbelt harness has been developed for Gemma Fletcher who is a T10-11 (incomplete) para that cannot weight bear in any way. The standard lap belt did not safely secure her to the crew seat and allow her to operate effectively. None Screwed and tied The harness seat belt can be easily unclipped from the seat base which is a safety feature. X One-Off Production

Seating Raising skippers overall height by 100mm max so that they can see over the deck of the boat. Electric steering The purpose of the new steering system is to make the steering more reliable and thus making it safer to compete in fleet situations. It consists of an auto pilot ram and a control system that allows for variable speed control, however it does NOT improve steering beyond a humans natural ability The ram connects to the un-adapted rudder (see attached) Mounted 120mm in from the rear left port hole. Ram extends no further than 100mm The ram is made of stainless steel and all attachable components. The controller is the original from Hansa, the variable speed control is safely contained in a water proof case The ram is supported by a stainless steel mount on the rear deck by four bolts. The mount then has further structural reinforcement around the point of the mount (see attached).
