Rules Races will be governed by the rules as defined in The Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS) and the ustralian Sailing (S) Special Regulations, Part 2 For Off The each oats. 2. Schedule of Races Multiple Races will be scheduled across three sessions: Session 1: PM on Saturday 23 June. Information session at hrs. The scheduled time of the first warning signal is hrs. The ourses ourses will be a triangle or other configuration as set out in the ppendix to these sailing instructions. t the discretion of the race officer, each course may include both Inner (I) and Outer (O) Marks. The direction for rounding buoys is defined by the display of a red or green flag on the start boat. This flag is displayed before the warning signal for the first division start. red flag indicates buoys are to be rounded on the port hand and a green flag indicates the buoys are to be rounded on the starboard hand. The course(s) for the session, the allocation of classes to Divisions, whether the Division is sailing the Outer or Inner marks and whether there will be a common start/finish boat or separate start/finish boats will be posted on the ourse oard in the upstairs briefing area at least 30 minutes before the first warning signal for each session. Divisional flags will be numeral pennants. The island may have a required side; this will be defined on the course board at briefing prior to a session. The Division starting order and the number of laps for all Divisions will be displayed on a board located on the starboard side of the starting ommittee boat no later than three minutes before the first warning signal for each race. This changes RRS It is the responsibility of the skipper to ensure that they are aware of the starting order and the number of laps for their division for each race. Please note the starting order of divisions and number of laps for each division may differ for each race within a session and that multiple divisions may be started together as signalled on the course board and by the division flags. 7. Marks Marks will be as shown on the course board located in the upstairs of the club rooms. Gunn Island is not a mark of the course. 8. The The start vessel shall display, together with one long hoot, an orange flag three minutes before the first warning signal for the first race in each session. This flag and the audible sound are to alert boats that a race or sequence of races will begin soon.

3 8.1 Divisions will be started at 3 minute intervals as follows; this changes RRS 26. General Recalls (This changes RRS 29.2) When a general recall is signalled, that division shall be restarted after all scheduled starts have been completed. Thus the starting signal for the last scheduled Division shall be the Warning Signal for the first recalled Division; the starting Signal for the first recalled Division shall be the Warning signal for the second recalled Division, etc. When a general recall is signalled the flag will be removed, with no sound signal ; (a) one minute before the starting signal of the next division or (b) where there is no next division to start, when the Race Officer considers boats have had time to observe the General Recall flag and commence returning to the ing area. 10. Shortening ourse (This changes RRS 32) Shortening course will be as in Rule 32 or when a committee boat displays flag S together with flag H at or near a rounding mark. If flag S together with flag H has been displayed, boats shall pass the rounding mark on the required side then proceed to the finishing line. 11. 4 12.3 The race committee may finish a boat within a fleet at or near a mark to enable a subsequent race to start. Safety Regulations 15.1 It is a club safety requirement that all crew wear adequate footwear and that approved Life Jackets or buoyancy vests are worn by all skippers and crew whilst afloat.
