The Praise is for Allah azwj Lord azwj of the Worlds, and Blessing be upon our Chief Muhammad saww and his saww Purified Progeny asws, and greetings with abundant greetings. ب اب اإل ش ار ة و الن ص ع ل ى أ م ير ال م ؤ م ن ين ( عليه السالم ) Chapter 65 The Indication and the wordings upon Amir Al Momineen asws م ح م د ب ن ي ح ي ى ع ن م ح م د ب ن ال ح س ي ن ع ن م ح م د ب ن إ س م اع يل ع ن م ن ص ور ب ن ي ون س ع ن ز ي د ب ن ال ج ه م ال ه ل ل ي ع ن أ ب ي ع ب د للا ( عليه الس لم ) ق ال س م ع ت ه ي ق ول ل م ا ن ز ل ت و ل ي ة ع ل ي ب ن أ ب ي ط ال ب ( عليه الس لم ) و ك ان م ن ق و ل ر س ول للا ( صلى للا عليه وآله ) س ل م وا ع ل ى ع ل ي ب إ م ر ة ال م ؤ م ن ين ف ك ان م م ا أ ك د للا ع ل ي ه م ا ف ي ذ ل ك ال ي و م ي ا ز ي د ق و ل ر س ول للا ( صلى للا عليه وآله ) ل ه م ا ق وم ا ف س ل م ا ع ل ي ه ب إ م ر ة ال م ؤ م ن ين ف ق ا ل أ م ن للا أ و م ن ر س ول ه ي ا ر سول للا ف ق ال ل ه م ا ر س ول للا ( صلى للا عليه وآله ) م ن للا و م ن ر س ول ه Muhammad Bin Yahya, from Muhammad Bin Al Husayn, from Muhammad Bin Ismail, from Mansour Bin Yunus, from Zayd Bin Al Jahm Al Hilaly, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah asws, said, I heard him asws saying: When the Wilayah of Ali asws Bin Abu Talib asws was Revealed, and it was from the words of Rasool-Allah saww : Greet upon Ali asws as Amir Al-Momineen (The Commander of the Believers). So it was from what Allah azwj Allah azwj had Affirmed upon them both during that day, O Zayd, the words of Rasool-Allah saww to them both (Abu Bakr and Umar) were: Arise you both and greet upon him asws as Amir Al-Momineen asws. So they said, Is it from Allah azwj or from His azwj Rasool saww, O Rasool-Allah saww? So Rasool-Allah saww said to them: (It is) from Allah azwj and His azwj Rasool saww. ي ع ل م ما ت ف ع ل ون ي ع ن ي ب ه ق و ل ع ل ي ك م ك ف ي ا ل إ ن للا ف أ ن ز ل للا ع ز و ج ل و ل ت ن ق ض وا ا ل ي مان ب ع د ت و ك يد ها و ق د ج ع ل ت م للا ر س ول للا ( صلى للا عليه وآله ) ل ه م ا و ق و ل ه م ا أ م ن للا أ و م ن ر س ول ه و ل ت ك ون وا ك ال ت ي ن ق ض ت غ ز ل ها م ن ب ع د ق و ة أ ن كاثاا ت ت خ ذ ون أ ي مان ك م د خ ا ل ب ي ن ك م أ ن ت ك ون أ ئ م ة ه ي أ ز ك ى م ن أ ئ م ت ك م So Allah azwj Mighty and Majestic Revealed [16:91] and do not break the oaths after affirming them, and you have indeed made Allah a surety for you; surely Allah Knows what you are doing, Meaning by it the words of Rasool-Allah saww to the two of them, and their words, It is from Allah azwj or from His azwj Rasool saww? [16:92] And be not like her who unravels her yarn, disintegrating it into pieces after having spun it strongly. You make your oaths to be means of deceit between you so that the Imams would happen to be more virtuous than your own leaders. (Note The words in red are different in the current Version of the Holy Quran). ق ال ق ل ت ج ع ل ت ف د اك أ ئ م ة ق ال إ ي و للا أ ئ م ة ق ل ت ف إ ن ا ن ق ر أ أ ر بى ف ق ال م ا أ ر ب ى و أ و م أ ب ي د ه ف ط ر ح ه ا إ ن ما ي ب ل وك م للا ب ه ي ع ن ي ب ع ل ي ( عليه الس لم ) و ل ي ب ي ن ن ل ك م ي و م ال ق يام ة ما ك ن ت م ف يه ت خ ت ل ف ون. و ل و شاء للا ل ج ع ل ك م أ م اة واح د اة و لك ن ي ض ل م ن ي شا ء و ي ه د ي م ن ي شاء و ل ت س ئ ل ن ي و م ال ق ي ام ة ع م ا ك ن ت م ت ع م ل ون. و ل ت ت خ ذ وا أ ي مان ك م د خ ا ل ب ي ن ك م ف ت ز ل ق د م ب ع د ث ب وت ها ي ع ني ب ع د م ق ال ة ر س ول للا ( صلى للا عليه وآله ) ف ي ع ل ي ( عليه الس لم ) و ت ذ وق وا السوء ب ما ص د د ت م ع ن س ب يل للا ي ع ن ي ب ه ع ل ي اا ( عليه الس لم ) و ل ك م ع ذاب ع ظ يم. 3 out of 49

4 He (the narrator) said, I said, May I be sacrificed for you asws! Imams asws? He asws!(أ ر بى) beneficial said: Yes, by Allah azwj, Imams asws. I said, But we are reciting More So he asws said: What is (this word) بى? أ ر And he asws gestured by his asws hand, so he asws discarded them (indicatively) [16:92] But rather, Allah is Testing you by this, Meaning by Ali asws and He will Clarify to you on the Day of Judgement that which you were differing in [16:93] And had Allah so Desired it He would Make you a single nation, but He Lets err whomsoever He Desires to and Guides whomsoever He Desires to; and you will be Questioned about what you had been doing [16:94] And do not make your oaths a means of deceit between you, lest a foot should slip after its stability Meaning after the words of Rasool- Allah saww regarding Ali asws and you would taste evil because you turned away from Allah's Way Meaning by it Ali asws, and a grievous Punishment would be for you. 1 م ح م د ب ن ي ح ي ى ع ن م ح م د ب ن ال ح س ي ن و أ ح م د ب ن م ح م د ع ن اب ن م ح ب وب ع ن م ح م د ب ن ال ف ض ي ل ع ن أ ب ي ح م ز ة الثم ال ي ع ن أ ب ي ج ع ف ر ( عليه الس لم ) ق ال س م ع ت ه ي ق ول ل م ا أ ن ق ض ى م ح م د ن ب و ت ه و اس ت ك م ل أ ي ام ه أ و ح ى للا ت ع ال ى إ ل ي ه أ ن يا م ح م د ق د ي م ان و ا ل س م ا ل ك ب ر و م ير اث ال ع ل م و آث ار ع ل م النب و ة ف ي ق ض ي ت ن ب و ت ك و اس ت ك م ل ت أ ي ام ك ف اج ع ل ال ع ل م ال ذ ي ع ن د ك و ا ل يم ان و ا ل س م ا ل ك ب ر و م ير اث ال ع ل م و آث ار ع ل م النب و ة م ن ال ع ق ب أ ه ل ب ي ت ك ع ن د ع ل ي ب ن أ ب ي ط ال ب ف إ ن ي ل ن أ ق ط ع ال ع ل م و ا ل م ن ذ ر ي ت ك ك م ا ل م أ ق ط ع ه ا م ن ذ ر ي ات ا ل ن ب ي اء. Muhammad Bin Yahya, from Muhammad Bin Al Husayn and Ahmad Bin Muhammad, from Ibn Mahboub, from Muhammad Bin Al Fuzayl, from Abu Hamza Al Sumaly, (It has been narrated) from Abu Ja far asws, said, I heard him asws saying: When the Prophet-hood of Muhammad saww expired and his saww days were completed, Allah azwj the Exalted Revealed unto him saww : O Muhammad saww! Your saww Prophet-hood has expired and your saww days are completed, therefore make the Knowledge which is with you saww, and the Eman, and the Great Name, and inheritance of the Knowledge, and the traces (Ahadeeth) of Knowledge of the Prophet-hood to be in the People asws of your saww Household with Ali asws Bin Abu Talib asws, for I azwj Never Cut-off the Knowledge, and the Eman, and the Great Name, and inheritance of the Knowledge, and traces of the Knowledge (Ahadeeth) of the Prophet-hood, from the descendants of your saww offspring, just as I azwj did not Cut it off from the offspring of the Prophets as (before). 2 م ح م د ب ن ال ح س ي ن و غ ي ر ه ع ن س ه ل ع ن م ح م د ب ن ع يس ى و م ح م د ب ن ي ح ي ى و م ح م د ب ن ال ح س ي ن ج م يعاا ع ن م ح م د ب ن س ن ا ن ع ن إ س م اع يل ب ن ج اب ر و ع ب د ال ك ر يم ب ن ع م ر و ع ن ع ب د ال ح م يد ب ن أ ب ي الد ي ل م ع ن أ ب ي ع ب د للا ( عليه الس لم ) ق ال أ و ص ى م وس ى ( عليه الس لم ) إ ل ى ي وش ع ب ن ن ون و أ و ص ى ي وش ع ب ن ن ون إ ل ى و ل د ه ار ون و ل م ي وص إ ل ى و ل د ه و ل إ ل ى و ل د ت ع ال ى ل ه ال خ ي ر ة ي خ ت ار م ن ي ش اء م م ن ي ش اء م وس ى إ ن للا Muhammad Bin Al Husayn and someone else, from Sahl, from Muhammad Bin Isa and Muhammad Bin Yahya and Muhammad Bin Al Husayn, altogether from Muhammad Bin Sinan, from Ismail Bin Jabir and Abdul Kareem Bin Amro, from Abdul Hameed Bin Abu Al Daylam, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah asws having said: Musa as bequeathed to Yoshua as Bin Noon as, and Yoshua as Bin Noon as bequeathed to a son of Haroun as and did not bequeath to his as own son, nor to a son of Musa as. 5 him as the choice that he as can choose the one whom he as so desires to, from the ones he as so desires to. و ب ش ر م وس ى و ي وش ع ب ال م س يح ( عليه الس لم ) ف ل م ا أ ن ب ع ث للا ع ز و ج ل ال م س يح ( عليه الس لم ) ق ال ال م س يح ل ه م إ ن ه س و ف ي أ ت ي م ن ب ع د ي ن ب ي اس م ه أ ح م د م ن و ل د إ س م اع يل ( عليه الس لم ) ي ج يء ب ت ص د يق ي و ت ص د يق ك م و ع ذر ي و ع ذ ر ك م و ج ر ت م ن ب ع د ه ف ي ال ح و ار ي ين ف ي ال م س ت ح ف ظ ين و إ ن م ا س م اه م للا ت ع ال ى ال م س ت ح ف ظ ين ل ن ه م اس ت ح ف ظ وا ا ل س م ا ل ك ب ر و ه و ال ك ت اب ال ذ ي ي ع ل م ب ه ع ل م ك ل ش ي ء ال ذ ي ك ان م ع ا ل ن ب ي اء ( صلوات للا عليهم ) And Musa as and Yoshua as gave glad tidings of the Messiah as. So when Allah azwj Mighty and Majestic Sent the Messiah as, the Messiah as said to them: There would be soon coming a Prophet saww after me as whose name is Ahmad saww, from the children of Ismail as. He saww would come ratifying me as and ratifying you, and my as justifications and your justifications. And there flowed from after him as among the disciples, among the preservers, and rather Allah azwj Named them as preservers because they preserved the Great Name, and it is the Book through which one can find out the knowledge of everything which was with the Prophets as. ي ق ول للا ت ع ال ى و ل ق د أ ر س ل ن ا ر س ا ل م ن ق ب ل ك و أ ن ز ل نا م ع ه م ال ك تاب و ال م يزان ال ك ت اب ا ل س م ا ل ك ب ر و إ ن م ا ع ر ف م م ا ي د ع ى ن ج يل و ال ف ر ق ان ف يه ا ك ت اب ن وح و ف يه ا ك ت اب ص ال ح و ش ع ي ب و إ ب ر اه يم ( عليه الس لم ) ف أ خ ب ر للا ع ز ال ك ت اب الت و ر اة و ا ل و ج ل إ ن هذا ل ف ي الصح ف ا ل ولى ص ح ف إ ب راه يم و م وسى ف أ ي ن ص ح ف إ ب ر اه يم إ ن م ا ص ح ف إ ب ر اه يم ا ل س م ا ل ك ب ر و ص ح ف م وس ى ا ل س م ا ل ك ب ر Allah azwj the Exalted is Saying [57:25] Certainly We sent Our Rasools with clear arguments, and sent down with them the Book and the Scale. The Book is the Great Name, and rather it is recognised from what He azwj is Called in the Books, the Torah and the Evangel and the Criterion (Quran). Therein is the Book of Noah as, and therein is the Book of Salih as and Shuayb as and Ibrahim as. So Allah azwj Mighty and Majestic Informed [87:18] Most surely this is in the earlier Scriptures, [87:19] The scriptures of Ibrahim and Musa. So where is the Scripture of Ibrahim as? But rather, the Scripture of Ibrahim as is س م ا ل ك ب ر ا ل the Great Name, and the Scripture of Musa as is س م ا ل ك ب ر ا ل the Great Name. ف ل م ت ز ل ال و ص ي ة ف ي ع ال م ب ع د ع ال م ح ت ى د ف ع وه ا إ ل ى م ح م د ( صلى للا عليه وآله ) ف ل م ا ب ع ث للا ع ز و ج ل م ح م داا ( صلى للا عليه وآله ) أ س ل م ل ه ال ع ق ب م ن ال م س ت ح ف ظ ين و ك ذ ب ه ب ن و إ س ر ائ يل و د ع ا إ ل ى للا ع ز و ج ل و ج اه د ف ي س ب يل ه So the bequest did not cease to be in a scholar after a scholar until it was handed over to Muhammad saww. So when Allah azwj Mighty and Majestic Sent Muhammad saww, the descendants from the preservers submitted to him saww and the Children of Israel belied him saww, د ع ا إ ل ى للا ع ز و ج ل و ج اه د ف ي س ب يل ه و and they (the descendants of the preservers) called to Allah azwj and fought in His azwj Way. ث م أ ن ز ل للا ج ل ذ ك ر ه ع ل ي ه أ ن أ ع ل ن ف ض ل و ص ي ك ف ق ال ر ب إ ن ال ع ر ب ق و م ج ف اة ل م ي ك ن ف يه م ك ت اب و ل م يب ع ث إ ل ي ه م ن ب ي و ل ي ع ر ف ون ف ض ل ن ب و ات ا ل ن ب ي اء ( عليهم الس لم ) و ل ش ر ف ه م و ل ي ؤ م ن ون ب ي إ ن أ ن ا أ خ ب ر ت ه م ب ف ض ل أ ه ل ب ي ت ي ف ق ال للا ج ل ذ ك ر ه و ل ت ح ز ن ع ل ي ه م و ق ل س لم ف س و ف ي ع ل م ون Then Allah azwj, Majestic is His azwj Mention, Revealed unto him saww : Proclaim the merits of your saww successor asws! So he saww said: Lord azwj! The Arabs are a disloyal people. There has not happened to be a Book among them nor a Prophet as was Sent to them, but they are neither recognising the merits of the Prophet-hoods of the Prophets as, nor their as nobilities, nor would they be believing in me saww if I saww were to 5 out of 49

6 inform them with the merits of the People asws of my saww Household. So Allah azwj, Majestic is His azwj Mention Said: And do not grieve upon them and say [43:89] Peace, for they shall soon come to know. ف ذ ك ر م ن ف ض ل و ص ي ه ذ ك راا ف و ق ع الن ف اق ف ي ق ل وب ه م ف ع ل م ر س ول للا ( صلى للا عليه وآله ) ذ ل ك و م ا ي ق ول ون ف ق ال للا ج ل ذ ك ر ه ي ا م ح م د و ل ق د ن ع ل م أ ن ك ي ض يق ص د ر ك ب ما ي ق ول ون ف إ ن ه م ل ي ك ذ ب ون ك و لك ن الظ ال م ين ب آيات للا ي ج ح د ون و ل ك ن ه م ي ج ح د ون ب غ ي ر ح ج ة ل ه م So he saww mentioned the merits of his saww successor asws with a mention, and the hypocrisy occurred in their hearts. So Rasool-Allah saww knew that and what they were saying, so Allah azwj, Majestic is His azwj Mention, Said: O Muhammad saww! [6:33] We know indeed that what they say certainly grieves you, but surely they cannot call you a liar; but the unjust deny the Signs of Allah. But they were denying without there being any proof/argument for them. و ك ان ر س ول للا ( صلى للا عليه وآله ) ي ت أ ل ف ه م و ي س ت ع ين ب ب ع ض ه م ع ل ى ب ع ض و ل ي ز ال ي خ ر ج ل ه م ش ي ئاا ف ي ف ض ل و ص ي ه ح ت ى ن ز ل ت ه ذ ه السور ة ف اح ت ج ع ل ي ه م ح ين أ ع ل م ب م و ت ه و ن ع ي ت إ ل ي ه ن ف س ه ف ق ال للا ج ل ذ ك ر ه ف إ ذا ف ر غ ت ف ان ص ب و إ لى ر ب ك ف ار غ ب ي ق ول إ ذ ا ف ر غ ت ف ان ص ب ع ل م ك و أ ع ل ن و ص ي ك ف أ ع ل م ه م ف ض ل ه ع ل ن ي اة And it was so that Rasool-Allah saww used to harmonise with them and assist with some of them upon the others, and he saww did not cease to bring out for them something regarding the merits of his saww successor asws until this Chapter was Revealed. So he saww argued against them when he saww knew of (nearness of) his saww own death, and gave the news of it to himself saww. So Allah azwj, Majestic is His azwj Mention Said [94:7] So when you are free, nominate. [94:8] And to your Lord turn (all) your attention. He saww is Saying: When you saww are free, so nominate your saww flag and proclaim your saww successor asws, so let them (people) know his asws merits publicly. ف ق ال ( صلى للا عليه وآله ) م ن ك ن ت م و أ ل ه ف ع ل ي م و ل ه الل ه م و ال م ن و ا ل ه و ع اد م ن ع اد اه ث ل ث م ر ات ث م ق ال ل ب ع ث ن ر ج ا ل ي ح ب للا و ر س ول ه و ي ح به للا و ر س ول ه ل ي س ب ف ر ار ي ع ر ض ب م ن ر ج ع ي ج ب ن ص ح ا به و ي ج ب ن ون ه So he saww said: The one whose Master I saww was, so Ali asws is his Master! O Allah azwj! Befriend the one who befriends him asws and be Inimical to the one who is inimical to him asws three times. Then he saww said (on the Day of Khyber): I saww shall be sending a man who loves Allah azwj and His azwj Rasool saww, and Allah azwj and His azwj Rasool saww love him asws. He asws isn t with fleeing thus exposing the cowards from his saww companions and their cowardice. و ق ال ( صلى للا عليه وآله ) ع ل ي س ي د ال م ؤ م ن ين و ق ال ع ل ي ع م ود الد ين و ق ال ه ذ ا ه و ال ذ ي ي ضر ب الن اس ب الس ي ف ع ل ى ال ح ق ب ع د ي و ق ال ال ح ق م ع ع ل ي أ ي ن م ا م ال و ق ال إ ن ي ت ار ك ف يك م أ م ر ي ن إ ن أ خ ذ ت م ب ه م ا ل ن ت ض لوا ك ت اب للا ع ز و ج ل و أ ه ل ب ي ت ي ع ت ر ت ي أ يه ا الن اس اس م ع وا و ق د ب ل غ ت إ ن ك م س ت ر د ون ع ل ي ال ح و ض ف أ س أ ل ك م ع م ا ف ع ل ت م ف ي الث ق ل ي ن و الث ق ل ن ك ت ا ب للا ج ل ذ ك ر ه و أ ه ل ب ي ت ي ف ل ت س ب ق وه م ف ت ه ل ك وا و ل ت ع ل م وه م ف إ ن ه م أ ع ل م م ن ك م And he saww said: Ali asws is the chief of the Momineen, and said: Ali asws is the pillar of the Religion, and said: This is the one who would be striking the people with the sword upon the Truth after me saww, and said: The Truth is with Ali asws wherever he asws so inclines. Amd said: I saww leave behind among you all two matters. If you were to take to these two, you will never stray the Book of Allah azwj Mighty and Majestic and the People asws of my saww Household, my saww family. O you people! 6 out of 49

7 Listen, and I saww have delivered (the Message). You will soon be returning to me saww at the Fountain, and I saww will be asking you all about what you had done with the two weighty things, and the two weighty things are the Book of Allah azwj, Mighty is His azwj Mention and the People asws of my saww Household. Therefore, do not precede them asws for you will be destroyed, and not do (try to) teach them asws, for they asws are more knowledgeable than you are. ف و ق ع ت ال ح ج ة ب ق و ل الن ب ي ( صلى للا عليه وآله ) و ب ال ك ت اب ال ذ ي ي ق ر أ ه الن اس ف ل م ي ز ل ي ل ق ي ف ض ل أ ه ل ب ي ت ه ب ال ك ل م و ي ب ي ن ل ه م ب ال ق ر آن إ ن ما ي ر يد للا ل ي ذ ه ب ع ن ك م الر ج س أ ه ل ال ب ي ت و ي ط ه ر ك م ت ط ه يراا و ق ال ع ز ذ ك ر ه و اع ل م وا أ ن ما غ ن م ت م م ن ش ي ء ف أ ن ل ل خ م س ه و ل لر س ول و ل ذ ي ال ق ر بى ث م ق ال و آت ذ ا ال ق ر بى ح ق ه So the proof occurred by the words of the Prophet saww and by the Book which people recited. So he saww did not cease to cast the merits of the People asws of his saww Household with the speech and clarifying to them with the Quran [33:33] But rather, Allah Desires to Keep away the uncleanness from you, O people of the House! And to Purify you with a Purification. And Allah azwj, Mighty is His azwj Mention [8:41] And know that whatever war booty you gain, a fifth of it is for Allah and for the Rasool and for the near of kin. Then He azwj Said [17:26] And give to the near of kin his due. ف ك ان ع ل ي ( عليه الس لم ) و ك ان ح قه ال و ص ي ة ال ت ي ج ع ل ت ل ه و ا ل س م ا ل ك ب ر و م ير اث ال ع ل م و آث ار ع ل م النب و ة ف ق ال ق ل ل أ س ئ ل ك م ع ل ي ه أ ج راا إ ل ال م و د ة ف ي ال ق ر بى ث م ق ال و إ ذ ا ال م و ؤ د ة س ئ ل ت ب أ ي ذ ن ب ق ت ل ت ي ق ول أ س أ ل ك م ع ن ال مو د ة ال ت ي أ ن ز ل ت ع ل ي ك م ف ض ل ه ا م و د ة ال ق ر ب ى ب أ ي ذ ن ب ق ت ل ت م وه م So it was Ali asws, and it was his asws right, the successorship which was Made to be for him asws, and the Great Name, and the inherited Knowledge, and traces (Ahadeeth) of the Knowledge of the Prophet-hood, so He azwj Said [42:23] Say: I do not ask of you any Recompense for it except for the cordiality for my near relatives. Then He azwj Said [81:8] And when the cordiality (Mawaddat) is asked about [81:9] For what sin was it killed. He azwj is Saying: I azwj shall Ask all of you about the cordiality which I azwj Revealed upon you of its merits, the cordiality for the near-relative (of Rasool-Allah saww ), for which did you kill them asws? و ق ال ج ل ذ ك ر ه ف س ئ ل وا أ ه ل الذ ك ر إ ن ك ن ت م ل ت ع ل م ون ق ال ال ك ت اب ه و الذ ك ر و أ ه ل ه آل م ح م د ( عليه الس لم ) أ م ر للا ع ز و ج ل ب س ؤ ال ه م و ل م ي ؤ م ر وا ب س ؤ ال ال ج ه ال و س م ى للا ع ز و ج ل ال ق ر آن ذ ك راا ف ق ال ت ب ار ك و ت ع ال ى و أ ن ز ل نا إ ل ي ك ال ذك ر ل ت ب ي ن ل لن اس ما ن ز ل إ ل ي ه م و ل ع ل ه م ي ت ف ك ر ون و ق ال ع ز و ج ل و إ ن ه ل ذ ك ر ل ك و ل ق و م ك و س و ف ت س ئ ل و ن And He azwj Said [16:43] so ask the People of the Reminder if you do not know. The Book, it is the Reminder (Al-Zikr), and its people are the Progeny asws of Muhammad saww. Allah azwj Mighty and Majestic Commanded with asking them asws and did not Command with asking the ignoramuses, and Allah azwj Mighty and Majestic Named the Quran as The Reminder (Al-Zikr), so He azwj Said [16:44] and We Revealed unto you the Reminder that you may clarify to the people what has been Revealed to them, perhaps they would ponder. And He azwj Said [43:44] And it is a Reminder for you and your people, and you shall soon be questioned. و أ ط يع وا الر س ول و أ ول ي ا ل م ر م ن ك م و ق ال ع ز و ج ل و ل و ر دوه إ ل ى للا و إ ل ى الر س ول و و ق ال ع ز و ج ل أ ط يع وا للا إ لى أ ول ي ا ل م ر م ن ه م ل ع ل م ه ال ذ ين ي س ت ن ب ط ون ه م ن ه م ف ر د ا ل م ر أ م ر الن اس إ ل ى أ ول ي ا ل م ر م ن ه م ال ذ ين أ م ر ب ط اع ت ه م و ب الر د إ ل ي ه م 7 out of 49

8 And the Mighty and Majestic Said [4:59] O you who believe! Obey Allah and obey the Rasool and those in authority from among you. And the Mighty and Majestic Said [4:83] and if they had referred it to the Rasool and to those in authority among them, those among them who can search out the Knowledge of it would have known it. Thus, the referring of the matter is the referring of the people of their affairs to the one with Divine Authority (Ul Al-Amr) from them, those they had been Commanded to obey them asws, and with the referring to them asws. ف ل م ا ر ج ع ر س ول للا ( صلى للا عليه وآله ) م ن ح ج ة ال و د اع ن ز ل ع ل ي ه ج ب ر ئ يل ( عليه الس لم ) ف ق ال يا أ يه ا الر س ول ب ل غ ل ي ه د ي ال ق و م ال كاف ر ين ف ن اد ى الن ا س ما أ ن ز ل إ ل ي ك م ن ر ب ك و إ ن ل م ت ف ع ل ف ما ب ل غ ت ر سال ت ه و للا ي ع ص م ك م ن الن اس إ ن للا ف اج ت م ع وا و أ م ر ب س م ر ات ف ق م ش و ك ه ن ث م ق ال ( صلى للا عليه وآله ) ي ا أ يه ا الن اس م ن و ل يك م و أ و ل ى ب ك م م ن أ ن ف س ك م ف ق ال وا للا و ر س ول ه ف ق ال م ن ك ن ت م و ل ه ف ع ل ي م و ل ه الل ه م و ال م ن و ا ل ه و ع اد م ن ع اد اه ث ل ث م ر ا ت So when Rasool-Allah saww returned from the Farewell Hajj, Jibraeel as descended unto him saww and said [5:67] O Rasool! Deliver what has been Revealed unto you from your Lord; and if you do it not, then you have not delivered His Message, and Allah will Protect you from the people; surely Allah will not Guide the unbelieving people. So he saww called the people, and they gathered, and he saww ordered with the clearing (of the ground), so the thorns were removed. Then he saww said: O you people! Who is your guardian and closer with you all than your own selves? So they (people) said, Allah azwj and His azwj Rasool saww! So he saww said: The one whose Master I saww am, so Ali asws is his Master. O Allah azwj! Befriend the one who befriends him asws and be Inimical to the one who is inimical to him asws three times. ف و ق ع ت ع م ه ح س ك ة الن ف اق ف ي ق ل وب ال ق و م و ق ال وا م ا أ ن ز ل للا ج ل ذ ك ر ه ه ذ ا ع ل ى م ح م د ق ط و م ا ير يد إ ل أ ن ي ر ف ع ب ض ب ع اب ن So the thorns of hypocrisy occurred in the hearts of the people and they said, Allah azwj, Majestic is His azwj Mention has not Revealed this unto Muhammad saww at all, and he saww does not intend except to raise the shoulder of his asws cousin asws. ج ل ذ ك ر ه ق د أ ح س ن إ ل ي ن ا و ش ر ف ن ا ب ك و ب ن ز ول ك ب ي ن ظ ه ر ان ي ن ا ف ق د ف ل م ا ق د م ال م د ين ة أ ت ت ه ا ل ن ص ار ف ق ال وا ي ا ر س ول للا إ ن للا ف ر ح للا ص د يق ن ا و ك ب ت ع د و ن ا و ق د ي أ ت يك و ف ود ف ل ت ج د م ا ت ع ط يه م ف ي ش م ت ب ك ال ع د و ف ن ح ب أ ن ت أ خ ذ ث ل ث أ م و ال ن ا ح ت ى إ ذ ا ق د م ع ل ي ك و ف د م ك ة و ج د ت م ا ت ع ط يه م So when he as proceeded to Al Medina, the Helpers came to him saww and they said, O Rasool-Allah saww! Allah azwj, Majestic is His azwj Mention has Favoured upon us and has Ennobled us with you saww and by your saww dwelling between our midst. So Allah azwj has Made our friends happy and and our enemies are suppressed, and there come to you delegations, so you saww do not find what to give them, and the enemies gloat upon you saww. So we would love it if you saww were to take a third of our wealth so that when a delegation of Makkah comes over to you saww, you saww would find what to give them. ف ل م ي ر د ر س ول للا ( صلى للا عليه وآله ) ع ل ي ه م ش ي ئاا و ك ان ي ن ت ظ ر م ا ي أ ت يه م ن ر ب ه ف ن ز ل ج ب ر ئ يل ( عليه الس لم ) و ق ا ل ق ل ل أ س ئ ل ك م ع ل ي ه أ ج راا إ ل ال م و د ة ف ي ال ق ر بى و ل م ي ق ب ل أ م و ال ه م But Rasool-Allah saww did not respond upon them with anything, and he saww was awaiting what would be coming from his saww Lord azwj. So Jibraeel as descended and 8 out of 49

9 said: [42:23] Say: I do not ask of you any Recompense for it except for the cordiality for my near relatives, and he saww did not accept their wealth. ف ق ال ال م ن اف ق ون م ا أ ن ز ل للا ه ذ ا ع ل ى م ح م د و م ا ي ر يد إ ل أ ن ي ر ف ع ب ض ب ع اب ن ع م ه و ي ح م ل ع ل ي ن ا أ ه ل ب ي ت ه ي ق ول أ م س م ن ك ن ت م و ل ه ف ع ل ي م و ل ه و ال ي و م ق ل ل أ س ئ ل ك م ع ل ي ه أ ج راا إ ل ال م و د ة ف ي ال ق ر بى ث م ن ز ل ع ل ي ه آي ة ال خ م س فق ال وا ي ر يد أ ن ي ع ط ي ه م أ م و ال ن ا و ف ي ئ ن ا So the hypocrites said, This has not been Revealed upon Muhammad saww, and he saww does not intend except to raise the shoulders of his saww cousin and load upon us the People asws of his saww Household. Yesterday he saww was saying: The one whose Master I saww am, so Ali asws is his Master, and today: [42:23] Say: I do not ask of you any Recompense for it except for the cordiality for my near relatives. Then the Verse of Khums was Revealed, so they said, He saww intends that we give him saww our wealth, and our war booties. م النب و ة ث م أ ت اه ج ب ر ئ يل ف ق ال ي ا م ح م د إ ن ك ق د ق ض ي ت ن ب و ت ك و اس ت ك م ل ت أ ي ام ك ف اج ع ل ا ل س م ا ل ك ب ر و م ير اث ال ع ل م و آث ار ع ل ع ن د ع ل ي ( عليه الس لم ) ف إ ن ي ل م أ ت ر ك ا ل ر ض إ ل و ل ي ف يه ا ع ال م ت ع ر ف ب ه ط اع ت ي و ت ع ر ف ب ه و ل ي ت ي و ي ك ون ح ج اة ل م ن ي ول د ب ي ن ق ب ض الن ب ي إ ل ى خ ر وج الن ب ي ا ل خ ر Then Jibraeel as came over to him saww and he as said: O Muhammad saww! (Allah azwj is Saying): You saww have spent your saww Prophet-hood and completed your saww days, therefore make the Great Name, and the inherited Knowledge, and the traces (Ahadeeth) of the Knowledge of the Prophet-hood to be with Ali asws, for I azwj do not Leave the earth except there is a scholar for Me azwj in it, by whom My azwj obedience can be recognised, and by him asws My azwj Wilayah can be recognised, and he asws can happen to be My azwj Divine Authority to the ones who would be born from the passing away of a Prophet as to the coming out of another Prophet as. ق ال ف أ و ص ى إ ل ي ه ب ا ل س م ا ل ك ب ر و م ير اث ال ع ل م و آث ار ع ل م النب و ة و أ و ص ى إ ل ي ه ب أ ل ف ك ل م ة و أ ل ف ب اب ي ف ت ح ك ل ك ل م ة و ك ل ب اب أ ل ف ك ل م ة و أ ل ف ب اب. He asws said: So he saww bequeathed to him asws with the Great Name, and the inherited Knowledge, and traces (Ahadeeth) of the Knowledge of the Prophet-hood, and bequeathed to him asws with a thousand words and a thousand topics, with each word and each topic opening a thousand words and a thousand topics. 3 ع ل ي ب ن إ ب ر اه يم ع ن أ ب يه و ص ال ح ب ن الس ن د ي ع ن ج ع ف ر ب ن ب ش ير ع ن ي ح ي ى ب ن م ع م ر ال ع ط ار ع ن ب ش ير الد ه ان ع ن أ ب ي ع ب د للا ( عليه الس لم ) ق ال ق ال ر س ول للا ( صلى للا عليه وآله ) ف ي م ر ض ه ال ذ ي ت و ف ي ف يه اد ع وا ل ي خ ل يل ي ف أ ر س ل ت ا إ ل ى أ ب و ي ه م ا ف ل م ا ن ظ ر إ ل ي ه م ا ر س ول للا ( صلى للا عليه وآله ) أ ع ر ض ع ن ه م ا ث م ق ال اد ع وا ل ي خ ل يل ي ف أ ر س ل إ ل ى ع ل ي ف ل م ا ن ظ ر إ ل ي ه أ ك ب ع ل ي ه ي ح د ث ه Ali Bin Ibrahim, from his father and Salih Bin Al Sindy, from Ja far Bin Bashir, from Yahya Bin Moammar Al Attar, from Bashir Al Dahhan, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah asws having said: Rasool-Allah saww said during his saww illness in which he saww passed away: Call my saww friend for me saww. So they both (Ayesha and Hafsa) sent a message to their fathers (Abu Bakr and Umar). So when Rasool-Allah saww looked at them, turned away from them. 10 Call my saww friend for me saww. So a message was sent to Ali asws. So when he saww looked at him asws, he saww got engrossed (engaged) upon it narrating to him asws. ف ل م ا خ ر ج ل ق ي اه ف ق ا ل ل ه م ا ح د ث ك خ ل يل ك ف ق ال ح د ث ن ي أ ل ف ب اب ي ف ت ح ك ل ب اب أ ل ف ب اب. So when he asws came out, they (Abu Bakr and Umar) met him asws and they both said to him asws, What did your asws friend narrate to you asws? So he asws said: He saww narrated to me asws a thousand topics, with each topic opening a thousand topics. 4 أ ح م د ب ن إ د ر يس ع ن م ح م د ب ن ع ب د ال ج ب ار ع ن م ح م د ب ن إ س م اع يل ع ن م ن ص ور ب ن ي ون س ع ن أ ب ي ب ك ر ال ح ض ر م ي ع ن أ ب ي ج ع ف ر ( عليه الس لم ) ق ال ع ل م ر س ول للا ( صلى للا عليه وآله ) ع ل ي اا ( صلوات للا عليه ) أ ل ف ح ر ف ك ل ح ر ف ي ف ت ح أ ل ف ح ر ف. Ahmad Bin Idrees, from Muhammad Bin Abdul Jabbar, from Muhammad Bin Ismail, from Mansour Bin Yunus, from Abu Bakr Al Hazaramy, (It has been narrated) from Abu Ja far asws having said: Rasool-Allah saww taught Ali asws a thousand letters, each letter opening a thousand letters. 5 ع د ة م ن أ ص ح اب ن ا ع ن أ ح م د ب ن م ح م د ع ن ع ل ي ب ن ال ح ك م ع ن ع ل ي ب ن أ ب ي ح م ز ة ع ن أ ب ي ب ص ير ع ن أ ب ي ع ب د للا ( عليه الس لم ) ق ال ك ان ف ي ذ ؤ اب ة س ي ف ر س ول للا ( صلى للا عليه وآله ) ص ح يف ة ص غ ير ة ف ق ل ت ل ب ي ع ب د للا ( عليه الس لم ) أ ي ش ي ء ك ان ف ي ت ل ك الص ح يف ة ق ال ه ي ا ل ح ر ف ال ت ي ي ف ت ح ك ل ح ر ف أ ل ف ح ر ف A number of our companions, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad, from Ali Bin Al Hakam, from Ali Bin Abu Hamza, from Abu Baseer, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah asws having said: In the hilt of the sword of Rasool-Allah saww was a small parchment. So I said to Abu Abdullah asws, Which thing was in that Parchment? He asws said: These were the letters, each letter opening a thousand letters. ق ال أ ب و ب ص ير ق ال أ ب و ع ب د للا ( عليه الس لم ) ف م ا خ ر ج م ن ه ا ح ر ف ان ح ت ى الس اع ة. Abu Baseer said, Abu Abdullah asws said: So, no two letters from these would come out until the Hour (Day of Judgment). 6 ع د ة م ن أ ص ح اب ن ا ع ن أ ح م د ب ن م ح م د ع ن اب ن أ ب ي ن ص ر ع ن ف ض ي ل ب ن س ك ر ة ق ال ق ل ت ل ب ي ع ب د للا ( عليه الس لم ) ج ع ل ت ف د اك ه ل ل ل م اء ال ذ ي ي غ س ل ب ه ال م ي ت ح د م ح د ود ق ال إ ن ر س ول للا ( صلى للا عليه وآله ) ق ال ل ع ل ي ( عليه الس لم ) إ ذ ا م ت ف اس ت ق س ت ق ر ب م ن م اء ب ئ ر غ ر س ف غ س ل ن ي و ك ف ن ي و ح ن ط ن ي ف إ ذ ا ف ر غ ت م ن غ س ل ي و ك فن ي ف خ ذ ب ج و ام ع ك ف ن ي و أ ج ل س ن ي ث م س ل ن ي ع م ا ش ئ ت ف و للا ل ت س أ ل ن ي ع ن ش ي ء إ ل أ ج ب تك ف يه. A number of our companions, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad, from Ibn Abu Nasr, from Fuzayl Bin Sukrat who said, I said to Abu Abdullah asws, May I be sacrificed for you asws! Is there a restrictive limit for the water which the deceased is washed with? 11 Ghars, so wash me saww, and enshroud me saww, and embalm me saww. So when you asws are free from washing me saww and enshrouding me asws, so grab me saww with the entirety of my saww shroud and sit me saww up, then ask me saww about whatever you asws so desire to, for by Allah azwj, you asws will not ask me saww about anything except that I saww would answer you asws with regards to it. 7 م ح م د ب ن ي ح ي ى ع ن أ ح م د ب ن م ح م د ع ن ال ح س ي ن ب ن س ع يد ع ن ال ق اس م ب ن م ح م د ع ن ع ل ي ب ن أ ب ي ح مز ة ع ن اب ن أ ب ي س ع ي د ع ن أ ب ان ب ن ت غ ل ب ع ن أ ب ي ع ب د للا ( عليه الس لم ) ق ال ل م ا ح ض ر ر س ول للا ( صلى للا عليه وآله ) ال م و ت د خ ل ع ل ي ه ع ل ي ( عليه الس لم ) ف أ د خ ل ر أ س ه ث م ق ال ي ا ع ل ي إ ذ ا أ ن ا م ت ف غ س ل ن ي و ك ف ن ي ث م أ ق ع د ن ي و س ل ن ي و اك ت ب. Muhammad Bin Yahya, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad, from Al Husayn Bin Saeed, from Al Qasim Bin Muhammad, from Ali Bin Abu Hamza, from Ibn Abu Saeed, from Aban Bin Taghlub, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah asws having said: When the death presented itself to Rasool-Allah saww, Ali asws came over to him asws, so he saww entered his saww head (to be near to his asws head), then said: O Ali asws! When I saww pass away, so wash me saww and enshroud me saww, then sit me saww up and ask me saww, and write down (the answers). 8 ع ل ي ب ن م ح م د ع ن س ه ل ب ن ز ي اد ع ن م ح م د ب ن ال و ل يد ش ب اب الص ي ر ف ي ع ن ي ون س ب ن ر ب اط ق ال د خ ل ت أ ن ا و ك ام ل الت م ا ر ع ل ى أ ب ي ع ب د للا ( عليه الس لم ) ف ق ال ل ه ك ام ل ج ع ل ت ف د اك ح د يث ر و اه ف ل ن ف ق ال اذ ك ر ه ف ق ال ح د ث ن ي أ ن الن ب ي ( صلى للا عليه وآله ) ح د ث ع ل ي اا ( عليه الس لم ) ب أ ل ف ب اب ي و م ت و ف ي ر س ول للا ( صلى للا عليه وآله ) ك ل ب اب ي ف ت ح أ ل ف ب ا ب ف ذ ل ك أ ل ف أ ل ف ب اب Ali Bin Muhammad, from Sahl Bin Ziyad, fom Muhammad Bin Al Waleed Shaban Al Sayrafi, from Yunus Bin Rabat who said, I and Kamil Al-Tammar went over to Abu Abdullah asws. So Kamil said to him asws, May I be sacrificed for you asws! There is a Hadeeth which so and so reported. He asws said: Mention it. So he said, It was narrated to me that the Prophet saww narrated to Ali asws with a thousand topics on the day Rasool-Allah saww passed away, each topic opening a thousand topics. So that would be a thousand thousand (a million) topics. ف ق ال ل ق د ك ان ذ ل ك ق ل ت ج ع ل ت ف د اك ف ظ ه ر ذ ل ك ل ش يع ت ك م و م و ال يك م ف ق ال ي ا ك ام ل ب اب أ و ب اب ان ف ق ل ت ل ه ج ع ل ت فد اك ف م ا ي ر و ى م ن ف ض ل ك م م ن أ ل ف أ ل ف ب اب إ ل ب اب أ و ب اب ان So he asws said: It had been that. I said, May I be sacrificed for you asws! So, has that been manifested to your asws Shias and your asws friends? So he asws said: O Kamil! (Maybe) a topic or two topics. So I said to him asws, May I be sacrificed for you asws! 12 He (the narrator) said, So he asws said: And perhaps your reports from our asws merits, you have not reported from our merits except for a thousand without being read together. 9 ب اب اإل ش ار ة و الن ص ع ل ى ال ح س ن ب ن ع ل ي ( عليه السالم ) Chapter 66 The Indication and the wordings upon Al-Hassan asws Bin Ali asws ع ل ي ب ن إ ب ر اه يم ع ن أ ب يه ع ن ح م اد ب ن ع يس ى ع ن إ ب ر اه يم ب ن ع م ر ال ي م ان ي و ع م ر ب ن أ ذ ي ن ة ع ن أ ب ان ع ن س ل ي م ب ن ق ي س ق ا ل ش ه د ت و ص ي ة أ م ير ال م ؤ م ن ين ( عليه الس لم ) ح ين أ و ص ى إ ل ى اب ن ه ال ح س ن ( عليه الس لم ) و أ ش ه د ع ل ى و ص ي ت ه ال ح س ي ن ( عليه الس لم ) و م ح م داا و ج م يع و ل د ه و ر ؤ س اء ش يع ت ه و أ ه ل ب ي ت ه Ali Bin Ibrahim, from his father, from Hammad Bin Isa, from Ibrahim Bin Umar Al Yamani and Umar Bin Azina, from Aban, from Suleym Bin Qays who said, I witnessed the bequest of Amir Al-Momineen asws when he asws bequeathed to his asws son asws Al-Hassan asws, and there bore witness upon his asws bequest, Al-Husayn asws, and Muhammad, and the entirety of his children, and the chiefs of his asws Shias and his asws family members. ث م د ف ع إ ل ي ه ال ك ت اب و الس ل ح و ق ال ل ب ن ه ال ح س ن ( عليه الس لم ) ي ا ب ن ي أ م ر ن ي ر س ول للا ( صلى للا عليه وآله ) أ ن أ وص ي إ ل ي ك و أ ن أ د ف ع إ ل ي ك ك ت ب ي و س ل ح ي ك م ا أ و ص ى إ ل ي ر س ول للا ( صلى للا عليه وآله ) و د ف ع إ ل ي ك ت ب ه و س ل ح ه و أ م ر ن ي أ ن آم ر ك إ ذ ا ح ض ر ك ال م و ت أ ن ت د ف ع ه ا إ ل ى أ خ يك ال ح س ي ن ( عليه الس لم ) Then he asws handed over the Book and the weapons and said to his asws son asws Al- Hassan asws : O my asws son! 13 Ali Bin Ibrahim, from his father, from Ibn Abu Umeyr, from Abdul Samad Bin Bashir, from Abu Al Jaroud, (It has been narrated) from Abu Ja far asws having said: Amir Al-Momineen asws, when there presented to him asws that which presented (death), said to his asws son asws Al- Hassan asws : Approach me asws until I asws divulge a secret to you asws what Rasool- Allah saww had divulged to me asws, and entrust you asws upon what he saww entrusted me saww upon. A number of our companions, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad, from Ali Bin Al Hakam, from Sayf Bin Ameyra, from Abu Bakr Al Hazamy who said, It was narrated to me by Al Ajlah, and Salma Bin Kuhayl, and Dawood Bin Abu Yazeed Al Yamami who (all) said: Shahr Bin Howshab narrated to us that Ali asws, when he asws went to Al-Kufa, deposited with Umm Salma as his asws Books and the bequest. Then he asws turned towards his asws son Al-Hassan asws, so he asws said: O my asws son asws! You asws are the Master of the Command (Wali Al-Amr) and Guardian of the blood (avenging me asws ). Bequeath! So he asws said: Double the pillow for me asws. Then he asws said: The Praise is for Allah azwj as He azwj is rightful of. I asws was obedient to His azwj Commands, and I asws Praise Him azwj just as He azwj Loves, and there is no god except for Allah azwj, the One, the First, the Samad, just as He azwj has Lineaged Himself azwj. أ يه ا الن اس ك ل ام ر ئ ل ق ف ي ف ر ار ه م ا م ن ه ي ف ر و ا ل ج ل م س اق الن ف س إ ل ي ه و ال ه ر ب م ن ه م و اف ات ه ك م أ ط ر د ت ا ل ي ام أ ب ح ث ه ا ع ن م ك ن ون ه ذ ا ا ل م ر ف أ ب ى للا ع ز ذ ك ر ه إ ل إ خ ف اء ه ه ي ه ات ع ل م م ك ن و ن O you people! Every person would meet during his fleeing, what he is fleeing from (i.e., death). The death is an usher of the soul towards it, and the escaping from it is to (actually) find it. How many days have come and gone in researching about the hidden of this matter, but Allah azwj, Mighty is His azwj Mention, Refused except to Keep it hidden. 15 أ م ا و ص ي ت ي ف أ ن ل ت ش ر ك وا ب ا ل ل ج ل ث ن اؤ ه ش ي ئاا و م ح م داا ( صلى للا عليه وآله ) ف ل ت ض ي ع وا س ن ت ه أ ق يم وا ه ذ ي ن ال ع م ود ي ن و أ و ق د وا ه ذ ي ن ال م ص ب اح ي ن و خ ل ك م ذ م م ا ل م ت ش ر د وا ح م ل ك ل ام ر ئ م ج ه ود ه و خ ف ف ع ن ال ج هل ة ر ب ر ح يم و إ م ام ع ل يم و د ين ق و يم As for my asws bequest, so it is that you shall not associate anything with Allah azwj, Majestic is His azwj Laudation. And Muhammad saww, so you must not waste his saww Sunnah. Establish these two pillars and inflame these two lanterns, and you will be free of blame for as long as you are not displaced. Every person would bear his effort, and it is lightened from the ignorant ones. The Lord azwj is Merciful, and the Imam asws is the most knowledgeable, and the Religion is straight. أ ن ا ب ا ل م س ص اح ب ك م و أ ن ا ال ي و م ع ب ر ة ل ك م و غ داا م ف ار ق ك م إ ن ت ث ب ت ال و ط أ ة ف ي ه ذ ه ال م ز ل ة ف ذ اك ال م ر اد و إ ن ت د ح ض ال ق د م ف إ ن ا ك ن ا ف ي أ ف ي اء أ غ ص ان و ذ ر ى ر ي اح و ت ح ت ظ ل غ م ام ة اض م ح ل ف ي ال ج و م ت ل ف ق ه ا و ع ف ا ف ي ا ل ر ض م ح طه ا Yesterday I asws was your companion, and today I asws am a lesson for you all, and tomorrow I asws shall part from you. If the treading is steadfast during these stumbles, so that is the objective, and if the feet waver, so we are living in the shade of the branches and shelter of the winds, and beneath the shade of the clouds dissipating in the atmosphere and the disappearing resources in the central ground. و إ ن م ا ك ن ت ج اراا ج او ر ك م ب د ن ي أ ي اماا و س ت ع ق ب ون م ن ي ج ث اة خ ل اء س اك ن اة ب ع د ح ر ك ة و ك اظ م اة ب ع د نط ق ل ي ع ظ ك م ه د و ي و خ ف وت إ ط ر اق ي و س ك ون أ ط ر اف ي ف إ ن ه أ و ع ظ ل ك م م ن الن اط ق ال ب ل يغ و د ع ت ك م و د اع م ر ص د ل لت ل ق ي غ داا ت ر و ن أ ي ام ي و ي ك ش ف للا ع ز و ج ل ع ن س ر ائ ر ي و ت ع ر ف ون ي ب ع د خ ل و م ك ان ي و ق ي ام غ ي ر ي م ق ام ي And rather, I asws was a neighbour. My asws body was your neighbour for (some) days, and as a consequence from me asws it would be an empty body, motionless after its movement, and silent after speaking. Let it be an admonishment, my asws silence, and the dimming of my asws eyes, and the stillness of my asws limbs. So it is more of a preacher for you all than the eloquent speaker. And my asws bidding farewell to you all is a farewell of one expecting the reunion. Tomorrow you shall be seeing (the reality of) my asws days, and Allah azwj Mighty and Majestic will Uncover my asws secrets from me asws, and you will be recognising me asws after the emptiness of my asws place, and the standing of someone else in my asws place. إ ن أ ب ق ف أ ن ا و ل ي د م ي و إ ن أ ف ن ف ال ف ن اء م يع اد ي و إ ن أ ع ف ف ال ع ف و ل ي ق ر ب ة و ل ك م ح س ن ة ف اع ف وا و اص ف ح وا أ ل ت ح بون أ ن ي غ ف ر للا ل ك م ف ي ا ل ه ا ح س ر اة ع ل ى ك ل ذ ي غ ف ل ة أ ن ي ك ون ع م ر ه ع ل ي ه ح ج اة أ و ت ؤ د ي ه أ ي ام ه إ ل ى ش ق و ة If I asws were to remain (alive), I asws would be the Guardian of my asws own blood, and if I asws perish, so the perishing is my asws destiny, and if I asws were to forgive, so the forgiving, for me asws it is a nearness (to Allah azwj, and for you it is a good deed, therefore be forgiving and overlooking. Would you not like it Allah azwj should be Forigivng you all? What a regret it would be upon every neglectful one! His own lifetime would become an argument against him, or his days would lead him to misery. ج ع ل ن ا للا و إ ي اك م م م ن ل ي ق ص ر ب ه ع ن ط اع ة للا ر غ ب ة أ و ت ح ل ب ه ب ع د ال م و ت ن ق م ة ف إ ن م ا ن ح ن ل ه و ب ه May Allah azwj Make us asws and you all from the ones who are not deficient with it from obeying Allah azwj out of desire or being terrified of the Punishment after the death. Muhammad Bin Yahya, from Ali Bin Al Hassan, from Ali Bin Ibrahim Al Aqeyli, raising it, said, When Ibn Muljim la struck Amir Al-Momineen asws, he asws said to Al-Hassan asws : O my asws son asws! I asws am bequeathing to you asws with a bequest, therefore preserve. When I asws pass away, so prepare me asws, then divert me asws towards Rasool-Allah saww so I asws renew my asws Covenant with him saww.
