Before that position, Anghel was Manager of Government and Regulatory Affairs with Direct Energy, a large energy company, where she was responsible for all government projects and day to day management of technical regulatory interventions and analysis. Anghel spent seven years working within the Ontario government in a number of ministries including energy, natural resources and health, and was Chief of Staff to the Minister of Northern Development & Mines and Environment. In her role with NMMA Canada, Anghel leads industry representation and advocacy efforts in Canada by providing counsel, support and strategic input to a range of policy and advocacy issues. In more recent years she has transitioned into the racing scene, having the opportunity to crew on multiple programs in both course as well as offshore racing. Some highlighted events include racing LYRA (Relentless: Farr40), and the current IRC North American Champion (Rampage: Concordia47) as well as Lake Ontario 300 (Ginja Ninja: Merlin36).
