1 IMPLEMENT GUIDANCE SYSTEMS KEEPING PULLED EQUIPMENT ON TRACK Satellite navigation systems on tractors keep the tractor on track - but they cannot always address the challenge of keeping the equipment that the tractor is pulling behind on track. Controlling the potential drift of pulled equipment enables true precision and makes sure the pulled equipment follows the same exact path as the tractor.

11 BENEFITS OF AUTOMATIC WIND CONTROL SYSTEMS Overlap spreading and spreading errors are avoided, ensuring optimal fertiliser use. The systems enable a uniform growth rate and help to avoid yield/quality loss. They extend the operational time and work rate. As a result, nonproductive time is reduced and the optimum application date can be achieved. Fields are accurately fertilised in line with the nutrient requirements of the crops, even in difficult and changing wind conditions.

12 OPTIMIZED BOUNDARY SPREADING UP TO THE LIMIT - BUT NOT BEYOND Modern spreaders can distribute fertilizer in a fairly wide range on the field (up to 40m). Within the field, a wide spreading range is beneficial as it contributes to cost-efficiency and sustainability: larger areas can be fertilised in just one go, saving time and travelling distance (and fuel) for the tractor. However, wide spreading ranges can present a challenge in areas close to the field s border, as fertilizer may end up in areas outside the field.

When approaching the border of the field, special software controls the throwing width of the spreader and adapts it to the required rate on each side. This ensures controlled, accurate distribution on the field at all times, saves fertilizer and results in higher yields and better soil.

The sensors then send signals to the steering system to follow this precise path, guiding the harvester automatically along the edge with an accuracy of 2cm. The system guarantees that the harvester s header is always full, right to the edge. It also ensures ultimate accuracy and high functional reliability even when working at night, with laid crops, or on steep slopes.

19 AUTOMATIC GUIDANCE SYSTEMS FINDING THE WAY THROUGH YOUR FIELD Satellite-guided pilot The row guidance system can be combined with a satellite positioning system (GPS). The system can divide a field into identically sized sections and can distinguish between cut and uncut rows to facilitate night-time harvesting and advanced harvesting activities such as skip row functionality. This effectively avoids overlap when harvesting as well as time lost on unproductive cutting of leftover strips.
