A finer Grand Banks 32' will be hard to find. Be sure to see this trawler. GITTE is a wonderful "Special Edition" Grand Banks 32' trawler, on land at Bert Jabin's Yacht yard in Annapolis. GITTE has been a well maintained trawler her entire life. She started out in the Great Lakes area and made her way to the east coast where she has cruised the Chesapeake Bay for the last several years. It is reported that this trawler was built for one of the executives of American Marine, builder of the Grand Banks. GITTE has V-berth accommodations forward with an enclosed head and shower. Light, ventilation, and storage is good throughout the trawler, and this stateroom is no exception. The salon is up three steps. The salon has a inside helm to starboard, galley to port, and port and starboard settees in the aft portion. The double drop leaf dining table is fixed to the parquet sole. The teak interior is in fine condition. There is no sign of water entry around windows or doors. ETTIE has been/is a dry boat. The upholstery is original and in very good condition. The exterior teak decks are in fine condition. The large aft cockpit has deep locker storage, transom door leading to a large swim platform with swim ladder. The side decks, leading forward to the foredeck are wide, making for safe movement around the trawler. There is a storage deck box forward, and dock side electrical hook-up both fore and aft. The electric windlass makes anchoring easy, and the bow thruster easy docking. The exterior teak has just been varnished. The window frames have just been painted. There are drawers under the berths, hanging lockers port and starboard, a very large locker to port across from the enclosed head and shower. GITTE has extra shelving throughout. The electric head has the Lectrasan waste treatment system. The vanity has sink with hot & cold pressure water, mirror, and storage. There is a shower curtain to use to keep the walls dry. The salon has large front, side, and back windows to provide 360 degrees of good visibility. They provide good visibility for safe operation form the lower helm, located in the forward starboard corner of the salon. This helm is well equipped, as is the helm on the flybridge. The galley is forward to port with propane stove and oven, microwave oven, hot & cold pressure water at the sink, lot's of counter top space and storage. There is counter top that covers the stove when not in use; it becomes the splash panel when cooking. Enjoy the Marineair reverse cycle air conditioning year around. The prop is protected by a skeg from the end of the keel to the bottom of the rudder. The hull is white gel coat with blue accent. The transom has varnished teak overlay with white canvas cover for protection. The varnished hand rails and toe rails have white canvas covers, to protect the varnish. The bimini top, flybridge wind curtains, and flybridge cover are blue canvas, all in good condition. The varnished teak hand rails are mounted on stainless steel stanchions. The decks are natural teak, and in good condition. There is a foredeck box, usually found on larger Grand Banks trawlers, for added storage. The teak bow sprit has a CQR type anchor on roller, with chain. The Ideal windlass is electric. There is a spare Danforth anchor stored in the aft deck locker. The aft deck does not have the hand rail and stanchions; this adds to the good looks of this trawler.
