Learn about the work of Professor Bill Lucas' and how he is helping us and you to improve our taster sessions and courses for young people. Understand the scale and opportunity to engage and grow female participation. Look at some successful delivery examples and campaigns and what you as an instructor can do to make a difference. An introduction to what is involved with becoming a Powerboat Trainer or Coach Assessor. What is the SI course like, am I ready? and what you can do to prepare yourself. A sessions for Senior Instructors, looking at how to deliver the RYA Assistant instructor Course. A chance to reflect on how to run excellent land drills and a refresher on rigging. A chance to be reminded of what should a good land drill look like and how to deal with long tiller extensions, mainsheet hoops and other obstacles! Using technology or web sources to improve your courses. Adapting your teaching skills to meet the requirements of your students ( Powerability & Sailability) Rig Tuning What resources are available to support your courses? Find out here! We should be all be adapting how we teach to the needs of your students. Looking at mast bend, rake, sail set up and settings with demonstrations. Suitable for all however aimed at Dinghy instructors looking at the Advanced Endorsement or Advanced Dinghy instructors looking for a refresh Teaching Navigation Practical ideas and information on teaching navigation to dinghy sailors and powerboaters

An informal refresher session including CPR and cold water shock Afternoon - On-water workshops Safety Boat Driving Skills Review and refresh your safety boat skills. Learn and practise the latest safety boat techniques. To include dinghy and windsurf rescue techniques. Suitable for all PBL2 drivers and above. Powerboat Level 2 skills refresher Advanced Powerboat skills Review, refresh and practise your Powerboat Level 2 manoeuvres. Suitable for all PBL2 drivers and above Pilotage, passage planning and chart plotters afloat. Suitable for Powerboat Instructors/ experienced PBL2 Drivers looking to towards the Intermediate/ Advanced powerboat course Running the Honda Youth RIB Challenge at your club/ training centre. Sailing with Spinnakers Dinghy Race Instructing Skills Delivering engaging and progressive dinghy sessions on a regular bases in your OnBoard club Have a go at the Honda Youth RIB Challenge courses and learn about how to run the challenge at your Club/Training Centre. Guidance on teaching effective sessions for both spinnakers. As well as honing your spinnaker sailing skills. Session outlining techniques for teaching fun and fair racing. Ideas and inspiration for games and activities to keep you junior sailors sailing for longer. Coaching your upcoming DIs to pass their Pre Entry Practice your advanced sailing skills while learning how to deliver CPD sessions for your up and coming DI s to ensure they pass their pre entry.

4 Try Foiling (please see notes before booking) Keelboat Sailing Skills Take your first flight! Dinghy foiling is the latest exciting development in dinghy sailing and is being piloted as part of the RYA National Sailing Scheme in This session will have limited sailing time and is very weather dependant. Please note that you are applying to be part of this session rather than booking. You will be contacted to discuss this session and if it is right for you. An opportunity to learn or refresh your Keelboat sailing skills, while picking up on techniques for teaching these skills. Suitable for all or those looking at the Keelboat Instructor Endorsement. Introduction To Windsurfing Have a go at something different, learn the basic skilling involved with windsurfing. Suitable for all. OnBoard sessions are not just for sailing! Have a look at your Junior Windsurf Coaching Skills Afternoon Land-based workshops First Aid SRC refresher Delivering Assistant Instructor Training Delivering sessions or courses to engage more women in our sport Rig Tuning Learn how to make windsurf session s fun through practical on water games. Start windsurfing, OnBoard, T15 and beyond, suitable for all Windsurf Instructors.
