2 CONFERENCE DESCRIPTION The Canadian Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Association (CUHMA) is pleased to present their annual scientific meeting from November 2-4, 2018 in Québec, QC. This three-day conference is primarily designed for health care professionals working in the field of diving and hyperbaric medicine, but divers, dive medics and other medical personnel are welcome to attend. The conference offers a hyperbaric emergency team simulation (HETS) pre -course, followed by the main conference. Each day consists of presentations on current treatment strategies, collaborative research, case studies and improved safety in the field. OVERALL LEARNING OBJECTIVES By the end of this program, participants will be able to apply the most current scientific and clinically-based evidence available to their hyperbaric and diving medicine practices in their home cities; and collaborate with a network of professionals in diving and hyperbaric medicine across the country to advance future research in the field. ACCREDITATION (Main conference) This event is an Accredited Group Learning Activity (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification Program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and approved by the University of Ottawa s Office of Continuing Professional Development. You may claim a maximum of hours (credits are automatically calculated). This one-credit-per-hour Group Learning program meets the certification criteria of the College of Family Physicians of Canada and has been certified by the University of Ottawa s Office of Continuing Professional Development for up to Mainpro+ credits. The National Board of Diving & Hyperbaric Medical Technology has approved the 2018 CUHMA Scientific Meeting for 14 category "A" credits.
