1 Scenario Malo-Jaroslavetz 24 October 112 This scenario is based upon several web sources found in several groups of yahoo: GrandeArmee, NapoleonicFireandFury and Vnblist (Volley and Bayonet) Russia, October 112. Napoleon s Army is trying to retire from Moscow.. 1 MAP: The Malo-Jaroslavets Battlefield. MAP NOTES: 1.1. All the buildings have a +1 combat modifier and the church has a +3 combat modifier. Russian fieldworks give only light cover and protection from cavalry 1.2. The plateau is accessible to cavalry and artillery only via the road. West of the town (columns 1-3) infantry may scale the hill as (x3) rough terrain. The plateau is not accessible east of the town (columns 4-5) Fords may be found west of the bridge (columns 1-3). Otherwise, units may cross only by the bridge 1.4. The French se-tup first. None of the Corps artillery may be placed initially on the plateau or in the town. The Russian place second and must be at least 15 cm from the nearest enemy combat unit. Until Kutuzov or Napoleon arrive, Docturov or Eugene are the overall commanders. 29/0/03 (17:13) 1

The ratio Russian/French is 1/1.2 (102*1.2/1051=1.2) The Church, Marimo, each building of Malo-Jaroslavets and the A1 road end are each worth 45/57 Russian/French victory points. The bridge and the D2 and D5 road ends are each worth 90/114 Russian/French victory points. The bridge, the Church and the buildings of Malo-Jaroslavets are considered to be French controlled at the game s start. 5 NOTES a For infantry in square, use the other (OT) modifier if vs. any infantry. For infantry not in square, use the OT modifier if vs. any attacking cavalry, and not in a town, entrenched, or with friendly cavalry in the same combat. For attacking cavalry, use the OT modifier vs. infantry or artillery not in square and not in a town, entrenched, or with friendly cavalry in the same combat. Use the current modifier in all other combats. b The RSP (Response) number is used for cavalry recalls (with a -1 modifier for Austrian HC and LC, a -4 for british (not KGL) and -2 for all other cavalry), rallying and for square (with a +1 for Prussian GD, GN and LN in line formation until 109, +2 for Austrian GN and LN in column formation after 107, and +1 for all other infantry in column formation.
