2 30 Hour O.S.H.A. Training 30-Hour Construction Industry Outreach Training Program The OSHA 30-hour Construction Industry Outreach Training course is a comprehensive safety program designed for anyone involved in the construction industry. Specifically devised for safety directors, foremen, and field supervisors; the program provides an extensive overview on OSHA compliance issues. Special emphasis is placed on those areas that are identified the most hazardous, using OSHA standards as a guide. Instructional time will be a minimum of 30 hours; classes are broken down into four eight hour days. Class size is limited, so that our DCI, instructors can focus on identifying each student s strengths and weaknesses. Giving the instructor the ability to individually and collectively pinpoint training topics that will further enhance the trainees, in a small group and team setting. Our goal is to ensure a competent well trained team member. Training also consists of verbal and physical scenarios to help identify and correct any and all safety issues that may arise on the job site. 5 CONFINED SPACE RESCUE TRAINING Confined Space Rescue Training Program Class room sizes are limited Class length 2 to 4 days Class size is limited, so that our DCI, instructors can focus on identifying each student s strengths and weaknesses. Giving the instructor the ability to individually and collectively pinpoint training topics that will further enhance the trainees, in a small group and team setting. Our goal is to ensure a competent well trained rescue team member. Training also consists of verbal and physical scenarios to help with critical thinking because reaction time is very important. This training program works in conjunction with our 30hr O.S.H.A. class. Emphasizing hazard recognition and identifying potential hazards, giving the trainee the ability and insight to either eliminate or prepare to address whatever challenges may arise. Confined Space Rescue Training This course is designed to meet the training demands of 29 CFR (k) and NFPA the 40 hours of intense classroom and field instruction insures that your facility's confined space rescue team will be proficient in the skills needed to safely and efficiently perform entry rescues in your workplace. Topics covered in the program include assessment of confined space hazards, atmospheric monitoring, confined space rescue equipment use and limitations, knots, vertical and horizontal hauling, lowering systems, personal protective equipment and patient packaging. As well as basic first aid and CPR training Contract Standby Rescue Teams OSHA s 29 CFR states that If your personnel are entering confined spaces, the employer must provide a competent rescue team to provide emergency rescue within a timely manner. However, if your facility is small and does not conduct enough confined space entries to warrant your own team. Or you just want to supplement your existing teams on certain occasions (i.e. plant-wide shutdowns), we can respond to your needs. 6

6 DCI s contracted confined space rescue teams are second to none, comprised of trained and highly experienced rescue personnel. We can supply your company with teams that are fully equipped to perform rescues, if necessary. Our teams can remain on standby around the clock if needed, not only for rescue, but safe entry advice to entry supervisors as well, which adds additional safety during the operation. For outstanding standby teams and huge peace of mind Class room size Limited Class length 8 hrs. CONFINED SPACE TRAINING Confined Space Training Program Class size is limited, so that our DCI, instructors can focus on identifying each student s strengths and weaknesses. Confined Space Training This course is designed to meet the training standards associated with 29 CFR The 8 hours of classroom and field instruction insures that your facility's confined space rescue employee will be proficient in the skills needed to safely and efficiently perform entry rescues in your workplace. Topics covered in the program include assessment of confined space hazards, atmospheric monitoring, confined space rescue equipment use and limitations, knots, vertical and horizontal hauling, lowering systems, personal protective equipment and patient packaging. 7

7 CPR FIRST AID A.E.D. Class size: limited Length of Class: 8 hrs. depending on course option First Aid certificate available upon successful completion of course. CPR certificate available upon successful completion of course. Class sizes are limited, so that each student is given maximum opportunity to engage in questions that ensure full comprehension of the course. Students are taught how to administer CPR in addition to first Aid and A.E.D. if needed. This course teaches the skills required through the use of video, discussions, and hands-on training. Students are giving real-life rescue scenarios. Trainees are taught how to assess the situation, and properly perform CPR, as well as how to use an A.E.D. (Automated External Defibrillator) During the training program students are encouraged to ask questions and use independent thinking which is critical so that our DCI, instructors can focus on identifying each student s strengths and weaknesses. Giving the instructor the ability to individually and collectively pinpoint training topics that will further enhance the trainees, in a small group and team setting. Our goal is to ensure a competent well trained rescue team member. Trainees are instructed how to respond to cardiac or breathing emergencies, until an advanced medical personnel can take over. 8
