Design The GENO -flushing compressor 1988 K is a mobile, electronically controlled device in compact design, mainly consisting of: Carriage with closed, surrounding frame for easy transportation Oil-free compressor aggregate suitable for continuous operation Pressure tank with pressure switch and pressure indication Connection with quick-acting coupling for compressed air Pressure regulating unit for flushing air with filter, pressure indication and dosing unit for air pulses Water flow fitting with non-return valve, contact water meter and connection for air dosing Controller with program selector switch, LED display for continuous flow, air and dosing pulses. Function The following four functions may be selected at the controller of the flushing compressor: Flushing with water and air for the flushing of pipes with a water/air mix. is flown through by water provided by others on site. Volume-controlled addition of compressed air in periodic pulses in order to increase the flushing efficiency. The flushing air pressure automatically adjusts to a value which exceeds the existing water pressure. The water flow is indicated in the LED display in m³/h. Flushing with disinfection* For system disinfection (disinfection of a drinking water installation) with GENO -Chlor A or GENO -perox by means of the optional dosing system GENODOS DM-SK. is flown through by water provided by others on site. The disinfectant is added volume-proportionally into the dosing connection at the flushing compressor. The dosing pump is controlled by the controller of the flushing compressor and the dosing pulses are indicated at the LED display (for dosing systems and disinfectants, please refer to Accessories). If the disinfectant GENO -Baktox (chlorine dioxide) is going to be used, the separate and independent dosing system MOBIdos (without flushing compressor) must be used. Continuous air blast This function can be activated in order to increase the cleaning effect, e. g. in case of sanitation flushing. Compressed air In order to be able to supply compressed air, the GENO -flushing compressor1988 K features a standard connection for compressed air including a quick-acting coupling. Scope of supply GENO -flushing compressor 1988 K, complete and packed in cardboard box, with operation manual and 2 flexible connection hoses DN 25 (1 union nut), each 1.5 m long, with spare O-rings. * Note: For system disinfection we recommend the independent and mobile MOBIdos dosing system (order no ) which is fully equipped with a system separator and is suited for all three disinfectants GENO -perox (hydrogen peroxide), GENO -Baktox (chlorine dioxide) and GENO - Chlor A (sodium hypochlorite resp. chlorine) listed in the DVGW worksheet 577. The closing plug can be equipped with an optional flushing fitting (see case with flushing fittings) to perform the flushing. The closing plugs consist of 2 parts, the basic body and screw cap, both parts are made of brass and are coated with stain-resistant plastic. See case with closing plugs or set of closing plugs. In order to flush the pipes, the flushing fitting is connected to the closing plug and thus discharges the flushing water to the drain during the flushing of the pipes. Furthermore, it can be used to withdraw construction water, to fill bath and shower tubs and to bridge pipes (to do so, use pressure-resistant hose). The flushing fittings consist of two parts, the ball-type shut-off valve and a removable hose connection, both made of chrome-plated brass. Thanks to the balltype shut-off valve, a large and free cross section for the flushing is available. Due to the removable hose connection, the hose may remain connected to the hose nozzle. As the closing plug and the flushing fitting are two separate entities, only the closing plug remains behind at the construction site for the time between installation and start-up. The flushing fitting on the other hand can be used at several construction sites - just like a tool. According to the DVGW worksheet W 557, the withdrawal points must be equipped with corresponding devices to separate the air from the flushing water if the flushing is performed with a water/air mix. Up to 6 flushing hoses for a total of 5 m³/h can be fastened securely at the flushing water relief tank. Thanks to the integrated free outlet, the separation of drinking water installations and the drain is ensured and back- suction is prevented reliably. Furthermore, persons within the perimeter of the withdrawal points are protected from aerosols and the settled water calmly flows to the drain. The discharge of impurities and turbidities can easily be detected in the flushing water. A lower box is included in the scope of supply in case the water is discharged into a into a toilet bowl. This box also serves as transport box for various connection pieces.
