3 First Aid As established the provider - typically biennial Hazard Communication Hazardous Materials Shipping Hazardous Waste Operations (40-hours) Hazardous Waste Operations (8 hours) Initially and if hazards change for 1) employees who are designated as first aid responders, 2) employees who are performing high hazard activities (e.g., potential for falls, suffocation, electrocution, amputation) and medical attention is more than 4 minutes away, or 3) required client contract. for anyone who is potentially exposed to/works with hazardous chemicals. Biennial for anyone who packages, labels, transports, completes paperwork for, or offers for shipment, hazardous materials/dangerous goods.
