(Reviewed March 2017) Did my PADI Open Water and Advance Open Water here with my awesome instructor, Adeline. Ok crazy kids, lets go. That sentence will never get out of my head. It was a fun environment, not boring at all as we are also on holiday. It was a perfect set up, gain a new skills while having fun. They also have a nice bar that opens till late. The island itself is gorgeous. We saw a turtle in our first dive, so that really get me going crazy for the next dive where we saw bamboo shark!!! Diving (Reviewed March 2017) One of my absolute fun place I've been in Malaysia. Done not my first dive in my life but finish the two cert, and totally loved it the experience was nice my instructor was knowledgeable, strict and fun at the same time, all staff were awesome and very helpful. Uou just don't want to leave the place. Surely will come back again, to take more dives with the guys, even if you never done single dive in your life like me you get the feeling that your safe and you will enjoy your time with the team doesn't matter. Well done guys. Quality accommodation - value for money (Reviewed October 2016) Excellent cleanliness. Clean bedsheets, pillows, toilet and shower. No insects and mosquitoes in room. Daily housekeeping. Room is just next to dive shop - very convenient for divers. Just 3 mins walk from jetty, plenty of eatries and mini markets around. Place is well equipped. Water fountain to refill water, kettle to make tea and coffee, plenty of places to dry wet clothing, fridge and safe inside room, reliable electricity and water supply. Additional training days will be charged at MYR /day We need some 3 1/2 days on the island to complete the course. Ferries out of Mersing are often not suitable due to their late departure times. Ferries out of Tanjung Gemok are a better option as the run more regularly. 9 LEISURE DIVING PACKAGES (FOR CERTIFIED DIVERS) Dive Packages include: Accommodation based on the chosen package Two (2) boat dives per day o 2 dives per day are included in our package rates. 12 GENERAL TERMS & CONDITIONS RESERVATION & BOOKING Reservations must be submitted via to Reservations are only guaranteed once we send you our booking confirmation and once you have paid the deposit PAYMENT TERMS A 30% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm the booking (minimum of MYR per person) The balance can be paid upon arrival on Tioman Island CANCELLATION POLICY Initial deposit (30%): Non-refundable but can be used towards your next dive trip if: o you cancel/postpone at least 2 weeks in advance o you use the deposit within the same year UNUSED SERVICES There will be no refund if you should decide to not utilize the dives/services included in your package (unless a valid reason is given) CONDITIONS FOR DIVING Leisure diving packages can only be offered to already certified divers All guests will be required to sign a Liability/Release Form (Waiver) upon arrival and abide by all diving and safety rules of the dive center/resort WEATHER CONDITIONS We operate diving from 28 th January until 6 th November 2017 and the weather is generally very nice throughout the season with average air temperatures of 32 C and average water temperatures of 28 C Weather conditions for scuba diving can t be predicted even for the best season FORCE MAJEURE We will not be liable in whole or in part by any cause beyond our control due to fire, flood, weather, strikes or other labor disputes, shortage of materials, transportation difficulties, accident, war, riot, acts of God or change of laws. 13 USEFUL INFORMATION TIOMAN ISLAND: Tioman Island is the biggest and most impressive island on the east coast of Peninsular Malaysia. The island is some 35km long and covered densely in one of the oldest rain forests. It s just begging to be explored and is habitat for a large variety of flora and fauna. The main attractions on Tioman are scuba diving and snorkeling plus rainforest trekking Dive sites around the famous Coral Island are renowned for their healthy coral reefs and abundance of marine life. Travel distance to the dive sites from our centers is between 5min and 30min Diving season: 1st February until 10th November Best visibility (15m to 25m): March to June and September to November o Diving is still fantastic during the summer peak season (June - August), but the underwater visibility is usually reduced to approximately 8m to 15m ACCOMMODATION & RESORT LOCATION Take note that Budget, Standard and Seaview packages are based on resorts NOT owned and operated by B&J. o We have no influence whatsoever on the room cleanliness and functionality o Please be aware that your room might be pretty basic Tioman Dive Resort is owned and operated by B&J and provides the nicest and cleanest rooms Budget, Standard and Deluxe packages are based on resorts in either Air Batang (aka ABC Bay), or in Salang Bay. We will book a room for you depending on availability.
