If the walkway crosses a roadway, provide a clearly signed and crossing point where drivers and pedestrians can see each other clearly. Before exiting the work zone ensure both vehicle and pedestrian traffic can be clearly seen in both directions. Keep walkways clear to avoid pedestrians having to step onto the vehicle route.
