If respiratory irritation, dizziness, nausea or headache occurs, seek immediate medical attention. Apply artificial respiration if breathing stops. Ingestion: If swallowed, give large amounts of water to drink. Do not induce vomiting. Contact a doctor or National Poisons Centre. Eye: Hold eyelids open and flush eye with gently running water for at least 15 minutes. Seek medical attention promptly if irritation persists. NA 6. ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES: Shut off leaks, if possible without personal risk. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Clean up personnel should wear full protective clothing. Prevent liquid from entering sewers, watercourses or low areas. Advise local emergency services if substance has entered a watercourse or sewer or has contaminated soil or vegetation. Take measures to minimize the effect on ground water. For minor spills If the spill is small absorb all the liquid with sand, earth or spill control material. Put leaking containers in a labeled drum or over drum. Shovel up and place in a labeled, sealable container for subsequent safe disposal. Flush contaminated area with plenty of water. Retain washings as contaminated waste. Do not wash material down the drain or sewer. For major spills If the spill is large contain spill with sand, earth or vermiculite and collect recoverable material into labeled containers.
