Hydrostatc: Hydrostatc tests shall be made at not less than 200 ps (13.8 bar) for 2 hours or 50 ps (3.4 bar) above statc pressure n excess of 150 ps (1 0.3 bar) for 2 hours. Leakage: New ppe lad wth rubber gasketed jonts shall, f the workmanshp s satsfactory, have lttle or no leakage at the jonts. The amount of leakage at the jonts shall not exceed 2 quarts per hour (1.89 Uhr) per 1 DO jonts rrespectve of ppe dameter. The leakage shall be dstrbuted over all jonts. f such leakage occurs at a few jonts, the nstallaton shall be consdered unsatsfactory and necessary repars made. The amount of allowable leakage specfed above can be ncreased by 1 flud ounce per nch valve dameter per hr. (30 mu25 mm/hr) for each metal seated valve solatng the test secton. f dry barrel hydrants are tested wth the man valve open so the hydrants are under pressure, an addtonal 5 ounces per mnute (1 50 mumn) leakage s permtted for each hydrant.
