6 III Installaton 1 Preparng the vehcle Before startng work, check that the vehcle s free from defects. Use the PIWIS system tester to read out all the fault memores of the ndvdual vehcle components and frst rectfy any faults dsplayed. 2 Fttng the The bondng surfaces on the and the rear wndow must be dry and free of dust. Use cleanng agent to thoroughly degrease the bondng surfaces on the and the rear wndow. Do not touch the surfaces after they have been cleaned. 1 Apply a thn even coatng of PU adhesve to the bondng surfaces on the Ft the. Press the on frmly n the bondng area. Ensure an accurate ft and remove any escapng adhesve wth cleanng agent. 3 Fx the n place wth adhesve tape so that t has frm contact wth the surface at all ponts. Allow to dry for at least 12 hours. 3 Fnal nspecton 1 Perform a general functon check on the vehcle. Read out all of the fault memores of the ndvdual vehcle components usng the PIWIS Porsche system tester, erase any fault messages dsplayed and/or rectfy faults. TECHART Verson 01 Page 6 of 7
