7 OPEN WATER COURSE Learn to Dive Our professional and friendly instructors will provide attentive expert tuition on all Open Water dive courses. Once you have successfully completed your chosen course you will be competent and internationally recognised as a PADI Open Water Diver. Inclusions - BBQ lunch provided onboard vessel for Days 3 & 4. All equipment is included. Free city transfers provided. Day 1 - Medical checks and paperwork completed on site at 8am, before classroom & training pool sessions completed. Day 2 - Classroom sessions re-commence & small exam completed and finalising your skills in the training pool. Day 3 - Onboard Evolution we travel to 2 fantastic dive sites on the Great Barrier Reef to conduct a series of training skills in the open water environment. 2 dives are completed. ADVICE FOR WATER ACTIVITIES Certain medical conditions and medications may exclude some people from introductory and certified diving. For advice please contact our office. Minimum age for diving is 12 years old. Snorkelling can be a strenuous activity, please use caution and inform our crew of any medical conditions. Certified divers must have proof of certification. After a single dive, a wait of 12 hours is recommended before ascending to altitude or if multiple dives are completed, an interval of 24 hours is suggested. Things to bring: Sunscreen, hat, change of clothes Swimmers and a towel Cash or Credit Card for onboard payment/purchases (fares, soft drink, chocolates, underwater camera, t-shirts) (Dive Course Students Only) NOTE: All students must complete a medical declaration on day 1 of Open Water Course. If required, a Dive Medical is available with Dive Doctor at an extra charge. Medical Form can be found at: A current AS dive medical is required if 45 years+. Minimum Requirements: Students must be able to complete a basic swimming and floating test to complete this course. Students must be deemed fit by Dive Doctor/Instructor before course commences.
