6 SKIPPER CATEGORY B (UP TO 24 NAUTICAL MILES FROM THE SHORE) Examination details Candidates holding a Category C skipper s licence (Navigation up to 12 Nautical Miles) for more than one (1) year are eligible to apply for the above examination. In this context, please find hereunder details of the examination: (i) Theoretical examination comprising of 50 Multiple Choice Questions. (ii) Chartwork (To test the candidates ability to use a navigational chart) (iii) a) Venue, Time, Dates & Duration (i) Theoretical examination Date: Saturday 15 October 2016 Time: 0930h to 1100h Venue: Mauritius Maritime Training Academy (ii) Chartwork Date: Saturday 22 October 2016 Time per batch: 0930h to 1030h, 1045h-1145h, 1200h-1300h, 1315h-1415h Venue: Training room of Tourism Authority b) Fees The participants would be charged a total fee of Rs 3,000 comprising: Rs.1000-Application fee Rs.2000-Examination fee c) Application form must be submitted with the following documents: (i) (ii) (iii) Copy of applicant s National Identity Card Copy of Skipper s Licence (Navigation up to 12 Nautical Miles) Copy of provisional skipper s licence (exemptions) if applicable
