HAZARDS IDENTIFICATION Description of any hazards not otherwise classified Inhalation of fumes from overheating the product may cause eye, nose, throat and lung irritation. Lung effects may be delayed for several hours. Additional information Small amounts of carbonyl fluoride and hydrogen fluoride (HF) and perfluoro isobutylene(pfib) may be evolved when the product is overheated or burned. Inhalation of low concentrations of HF can initially include symptoms of choking, coughing and sever irritation to eye, nose and throat. Possibly followed after a symptomless period of 1 to 2 day by fever, chills, difficulty in breathing, cyanosis and pulmonary edema. Acute or chronic overexposure to HF can injure the liver and kidneys. Inhalation, ingestion or eye contact with carbonyl fluoride may initially include; skin irritation with discomfort or rash; eye corrosion with corneal or conjunctival ulceration; irritation of

2 2of 6 the upper respiratory passages; or temporary lung irritation effects with cough, discomfort, difficulty breathing or shortness or breath. By analogy with phosgene, symptoms may be delayed. Individuals with preexisting diseases of the lungs may have increased susceptibilities to the toxicity excessive exposures from thermal decomposition products of this product. 3. Skin Contact: Wash affected area with soap and water. Flush skin with large amounts of water. If irritation persists, get medical attention. Eye Contact: Flush eyes with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes. Consult a physician if symptoms persist. Wash affected area with soap and water. If Swallowed: Drink large amount of water. Call a physician. 5.
