FIRST AID MEASURES First aid procedures Inhalation Skin contact : Remove to fresh air. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen. Get medical attention immediately. : Remove contaminated clothing and shoes. Wash off with soap and plenty of water. Obtain medical attention. Wash contaminated clothing before re-use. Destroy contaminated shoes. Eye contact : Rinse immediately with plenty of water, also under the eyelids, for at least 15 minutes. If symptoms persist, call a physician. Ingestion : Do NOT induce vomiting. Immediately give large quantities of water to drink. If possible drink milk afterwards. Get medical attention immediately. SECTION 5. ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES Personal precautions Environmental precautions Methods for containment / Methods for cleaning up : Evacuate personnel to safe areas. Wear suitable protective equipment. : Do not flush into surface water or sanitary sewer system. : Wear suitable protective clothing, gloves and eye/face protection. Supplies of suitable decontaminant/commercial decontaminant should always be kept available. Contain and cover the spillage with inert absorbent (sand, earth, vermiculite) and decontaminant/commercial decontaminant. Leave to react for at least 30 minutes. Shovel residues into open-top drums and remove for further decontamination if necessary. Clean area with water and additional decontaminant/commercial decontaminant. Test atmosphere for vapors to ensure safe working conditions before other personnel are allowed in the area. Suitable decontaminant solution: Commercial solution or water 90-95%, concentrated ammonia solution 5-10%, liquid detergent 0,2-2%. SECTION 7. HANDLING AND STORAGE Handling Handling procedures : Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothing. Use only in well-ventilated areas. In case of insufficient ventilation, wear suitable respiratory equipment. Slacken off drum bungs before heating to prevent any pressure build up. Do not handle until all safety precautions have been read and understood. Wash thoroughly after handling.
