3 2. Power Supply Follow the instrutions elow when prepring the eletril outlet for this produt. Amerin Stndrd reommends tht his produt e onneted to GFCI-proteted outlet. Furthermore, it is strongly dvised tht the instlltion of suh n outlet e performed y liensed eletriin. Use 120 VAC power supply with rting of 1300 W. Chek lol eletril odes. Mke sure this produt is grounded orretly. Do not use n extension ord or ny other kind of dpter to onnet this produt to n outlet. The length of the power ord is 3 ft (1 m). The GFCI-proteted outlet should e instlled within reh of the power ord. * Do not onnet the power plug to the outlet until the instlltion is ompleted. Filure to follow this instrution my use the produt to mlfuntion. 3. Wter Pressure Amerin Stndrd reommends minimum wter pressure of 14.5 psi (0.10 MP) flowing t minimum flow rte of 4.8 GPM (18 L/min). 4. If, for ny hne, the remote ontrol hs to e instlled on the right side, hek if the reeiver will reeive the signl, eforehnd. Moreover, if the wll is some distne wy from the toilet unit, for exmple due to lyout suh s wsh stnd eing instlled etween the wll nd the unit, the signl my not e reeived y the reeiver. If this is the se, eret sreen whih n reflet signls within 51-3/16" (1300 mm) from the enter of the toilet owl. This sreen should e t lest 43-5/16" (1100 mm) in height nd should over the distne etween the signl reeiver nd the remote ontrol s instlled position. (Note tht the onditions my vry little depending on the wll finish nd olor.) 7 10. Instlltion Proedure 1 Mounting the Toilet Bowl 13" (330 mm) 11" (280 mm) 1. Wter Supply Line nd Drin Pipe Lotion The wter supply line nd drin pipe should e loted ording to the digrm on the left. 1/2" wter supply line (from wll) Floor drin 1/2" wter supply line (from floor) 4" (100 mm) 12" (300 mm) or more 12" (300 mm) 11" (280 mm) 4" (100 mm) Before onneting the toilet owl, the wter supply line should e shut off. (for this, INAX reommends the LF-7T) In ddition, the drin pipe should e overed to void sewer gs lekge. 6

Instlling the Drin Soket (1) Temporrily onnet the drin soket to the loset flnge without wx ring. Mrk the lotions of the pilot holes to e drilled. (2) Drill two pilot holes, ø7/16" nd 1-4/5" deep. Clen out the deris from the pilot holes. Insert the tpered nuts, externl tues, nd ruer tues into the pilot holes. (3) Disonnet the drin soket nd tthed the wx ring to the underside of the drin soket. (4) Connet the front of the drin soket to the loset flnge, using the lrge wshers nd flnge nuts. Ensure tht the drin soket is onneted prllel to the rer wll. If this is skewed, the toilet owl will e tthed t n ngle. Pull up d g e f i h Remove [Referene] 1 Ple the ruer tue, externl tue, nd tpered nut in tht order on the olt, nd insert it into the pilot hole. 2 While pushing the end of the ruer in the hole, pull the olt forefully so tht the prts re tightened in the hole. 3 Extrt the olt. 9 d e f h g i j k l m n o 3. Atthing the Mounting Bse nd Bolts (1) Align the instlltion templte with the rer edge of the drin soket. Mrk the lotions of the 4 pilot holes to e drilled. (2) Drill 4 ø7/16" holes out 2" deep. Clen out the deris from the pilot holes. Insert the tpered nuts, externl tues, nd ruer tues into the pilot holes. (3) Align the mounting se with the pilot holes t the front of the instlltion templte. Seure this prt using the lrge wshers nd olts. (4) Mount the spers, smll wshers, nd olts to the toilet owl mounting holes. Crefully remove ny if present, or it my use fulty mounting. 8

10 Push down using your ody weight d e 4. Seuring the Toilet Bowl (1) As shown in the Fig., ple the mounting dhesive on the mounting se with the uneven portion down. * Ple the mounting dhesive so tht Uneven portion down it will e in the enter of the mounting se. * Prevent moisture or impurities from getting on the mounting dhesive. (2) Aligning the olt of the toilet owl mounting wood srews with the toilet owl mounting holes, insert the drin outlet of the toilet owl into the drin ruer joint of the drin soket, then lign the position with the toilet owl rised to the front. (3) Crefully ple the front of the toilet owl down, joining together the mounting dhesive of the mounting se nd the mounting plte of the toilet owl. (4) Push the front of the toilet down until it touhes the floor. * This ensures tht the toilet owl is firmly onded. (5) Lightly push the toilet owl to mke sure it is firmly tthed. * If the toilet owl is not positioned orretly, lift up the front of the toilet owl, djust, then retth y pressing down. 11 (6) Ple the mgi tpe of the side over mounting rkets kit (inluded with the set unit) in the k of the toilet owl so tht its fe is prllel to the toilet owl, nd firmly fsten the wsher nd mounting nut. * The side over mounting rkets kit omes with the side over inluded with the set unit. Do not ple the set of the toilet owl on the drin soket, s this my dmge the soket or use lekge. Retthing the toilet owl Do not fsten srews on the ermi too tightly, s this my dmge the ermi. Tke re tht the lensing wter inlet is not dmged, or tht deris does not enter. When removing the toilet owl, tke re tht it is not dmged y the fstening srews on its rer. 10

12 2 Atthing the Wter Shutoff Vlve (1) Deth the open/lose kno. (2) After prepring the wll or floor, tth the 1/2" MIP nipple nd wter shutoff vlve. * When instlling the wter shutoff vlve onto the wter supply pipe, wrp Teflon tpe round the srew threds. * Remove the open/lose hndle from the wter shutoff vlve, nd tighten the vlve s shown in the digrm elow. * Similrly, for floor wter supply, ngle the vlve towrds the wll (pprox. 45 ) for esy onnetion of the wter supply hose. 13 (3) After tthing the wter shutoff vlve, tth the open/lose hndle. * Chek tht the wter shutoff vlve is losed. 15 3. Set the set unit on the toilet owl. Align the mounting olts on the ottom of the set unit with the olt holes on the toilet owl. Next, ple the set unit on the toilet owl. Tighten the set unit. Tighten the nut with the wrenh inluded in the pkge. 14

(2) Connet the wter supply hose to the set unit wter supply inlet. g O-ring g Be reful not to dmge the O-ring. * If the O-ring is dmged, lekge my our. Remove the p found on the shutoff vlve end of the wter supply hose immeditely prior to onneting the wter shutoff vlve. * During instlltion, deris my enter the wter supply hose, resulting in vlve mlfuntion. Connet the wter supply hose to the set unit while the hose is still in its pking rket. The metl fitting on the end of the wter supply hose hs restrited rottion, nd will not turn more thn 3 times. When onneting the wter supply hose, instll so tht it n rotte to oth the left nd right. 15

17 (3) Fsten with the lip. * The lip will only fsten if onneted s shown in the digrm. Clip Firmly set the lip on the produt from the side. * Do not tth t n ngle, s the lip nnot e ent in wy to properly seure the hose. Atth the lip firmly. * Inorret tthment will use wter lekge. (4) Remove the wter supply hose from its instlltion pking rket. Clik (5) Bend the lip to firmly seure the wter supply hose to the set unit wter supply inlet. After seuring, rotte the lip, nd hek tht it is tthed properly. Push the lip until it mkes n udile lik. * Inorret tthment will use wter lekge. When removing the lip, hold the lip with your fingers, insert flt-lde srewdriver, nd press down to remove s shown in the digrm. 16 ィス

18 5 Conneting the Wter Supply Hose (To the wter shutoff vlve) Wll wter supply d Clip Wter shutoff vlve O-ring d Wter supply hose Be reful not to dmge the power plug, or let it fll into the toilet owl. (1) Remove the p from the wter supply hose, nd onnet the hose to the wter supply of the wter shutoff vlve inlet. Be reful not to dmge the O-ring. * If the O-ring is dmged, lekge my our. Remove the p found on the wter shutoff vlve end of the wter supply hose immeditely prior to onneting the wter shutoff vlve. * During instlltion, deris my enter the wter supply hose, resulting in vlve mlfuntion. Ensure tht the wter supply hose is not kinked. * Othewise, the hose my e dmged, resulting in wter lekge. This my lso result in inomplete lening. 17

19 (2) Fsten with the lip. Atth the lip firmly. * Inorret tthment will use wter lekge. Clik (3) Seure the lip in the sme wy s with the set unit wter supply inlet. After seuring, rotte the lip, nd hek tht it is tthed properly. Push the lip until it mkes n udile lik. * Inorret tthment will use wter lekge. [Referene] When removing the lip, hold the lip with your fingers, insert flt-lde srewdriver, nd press down to remove s in the digrm. 6 Conneting to the Power Supply 1. 20 7 Mounting the Remote Control Unit (1) Open the k over of the remote ontrol unit nd insert four 1.5-V AAA lkline tteries. Ple the tteries in the orret diretion, ligning the positive nd negtive terminls s indited inside the ttery omprtment. (2) Position the rket on the wll in the desired lotion for the remote ontrol unit (see Remote ontrol unit mounting lotion, pge 2). Mrk the positions of the mounting holes on the wll. Fsten the rket to the wll, y drilling holes nd using the fsteners pproprite for the wll mteril, s desried elow. Leve enough spe ove the top of the remote ontrol unit to llow the unit to e removed nd repled. If mounted in plywood pneling 3/16" (5 mm) or greter in thikness: Fsten the rket to the wll with the mounting srews. 52" (1320 mm) 31 1 /2" (800 mm) 44 7 /8" (1140 mm) 23 5 /8" (600 mm) 12" (300 mm) Referene for instlltion position Referene for esy opertion Unit: inh (mm) Instll the remote ontrol within n esily essile reh rnge for the user. The remote ontrol should e instlled where the user n esily operte it while seted on the toilet. Use the digrm t the left s guide for the lotion of the remote ontrol. In the event tht the toilet does not operte, hnge the position of the remote ontrol. * There is the possiility tht the toilet unit would not operte euse of n fluoresent light with inverter llst or for other environmentl resons within the room. * If the signl nnot e reeived, estlish the use of the ostrution nd remove it. Or, if it nnot e removed, hnge the instlltion position of the remote ontrol. * When instlling the remote ontrol on the right side (when fing the toilet), instll it within the rnge of referene for esy opertion s fr s possile. 4 3 /4" (120 mm) 9 1 /2" (240 mm) Mke sure to hek the opertion while sitting on the toilet set. Ple the remote ontrol temporrily in the position to e instlled nd press the STOP utton while tully sitting on the set. (Mke sure to perform the test opertion fter instlltion.) Then stnd in front of the toilet owl nd press the STOP utton. Chek tht there is eep (norml signl reeption sound) from the toilet unit. Do not press the uttons for front nd rer lensing. If pressed, wter will e spryed. Ensure there is enough spe to tth or deth the remote ontrol in the re immeditely ove the instlltion position. 21 If mounted either in plywood pneling 3/16" (5 mm) or less in thikness or in drywll: 1 In plywood pneling, drill ø1/2" pilot hole, in dry wll, drill ø3/16" pilot hole. 2 Using hmmer, tp the plsti nhors into the holes. Plywood pneling : ø1/4" (6 mm) Drywll : ø3/16" (5 mm) Plsti Anhor d 3 Fsten the rket seurely to the nhors using mounting srews. As you tighten the srews, they re hrd to turn t first, then grdully get esier to turn, nd then re hrd to turn gin. Brket d Mounting Srew If mounted on tiled wll or in onrete: 1 1 /4". (33 mm) e f 1 Drill holes with dimeter of 1/4" (6 mm) nd depth of pproximtely 1-1/4" (33 mm). 2 Using hmmer, gently drive the plsti nhors into the holes. e Plsti Anhor f 1/4" (6 mm) g h 3 Fsten the rket seurely to the nhors using mounting srews. g Wll-mounted rket h Mounting Srew (3) Align the remote ontrol unit with the rket nd then push it down onto the rket. 20

22 8 Chek for Wter Lekge 1. Fully open the wter shutoff vlve nd let wter flow into the produt. 2. Chek for wter lekge. (1) Use the remote ontrol to flush the toilet severl times. (2) Chek tht there re no wter leks t the onnetion points. Wter lekge t the supply/drin wter onneting setions my not e oserved unless the toilet is flushed severl times. 3. Chek the flushing opertion. (1) Prepre 7 lls of toilet pper, nd put these in the toilet owl. For eh ll, use out 30" length of toilet pper. (2) Chek tht these re removed from the owl in single flush. If they re not removed with single flush, verify tht the wter pressure is t lest 14.5 psi (0.10 MP). 21

23 9 Atthing the Side Covers (1) Disonnet the power plug from the outlet. (2) Insert the "t" t the top of the side over into the "t reeiver" on the produt, nd push upwrds until it is fully inserted. (4) Seure the side over using the flt hed srew nd the oupling wsher, nd then tth the p. d Coupling wsher e Flt hed srew f Cp h g (5) Chek tht the side over is seurely mounted. (6) Connet the power plug to the outlet. g Clip support h Clip When the wter shutoff vlve is loted on the right when fing the toilet: (1) Remove the srew on the k of the right side over. (2) Remove the smll over pnel from the right side over. * Remove in the diretion indited. i (1) (3) Atth the smll over pnel to the left side over. (4) (3) (2) * Insert in the diretion indited. 24 10 Test Opertion (Follow the steps elow to ondut test opertion when instlltion is ompleted.) 1. Chek rer lensing. (1) Use piee of toilet pper to over the set sensor. (2) Press [Clensing] on the remote ontrol. As the nozzle egins to spry, over the nozzle tip with your hnd to prevent wter from splshing. (3) Press [STOP] on the remote ontrol. The spry will stop. Set sensor If the remote ontrol is used under fluoresent light with inverter llst, the shower toilet my not operte. This depends on the lyout of the toilet. Plese turn off this lighting nd try gin. When the toilet set is oupied, wter is emitted from round the nozzle s preliminry opertion. 2. Follow the sme proedure to hek the front lensing feture. Do not hnge settings of the omfort fetures. Leve the settings for the ustomer. The omfort fetures of the shower toilet should e set ording to the ustomer s preferene. So ontrtors re requested not to set these. If some re set, the ontrtor should explin the detils of them nd the feture to the ustomer. This is espeilly so with the power sve funtion s the toilet set my feel old if the ustomer does not know of this. The omfort fetures These re the funtions provided for the ustomers omfort. 25 11. If the wter does not flow well, len the filter. (1) Close the wter shutoff vlve to stop the wter. Plese do not remove the filter when the wter supply vlve is open. * Wter will lek from the filter. (2) Press [FULL], or press the flush utton on the produt * Wit pproximtely 20 seonds. (3) Disonnet the power plug from the outlet. Filter (4) Remove the left side over s seen from the front, ple loth or something similr on the floor elow, nd remove the filter. (5) Wsh wy ny deris inside the filter, nd from the O-ring. O-ring (6) Fully tighten the filter. When instlling the filter inside the wter shutoff vlve, mke sure tht the wter shutoff vlve is tightened ompletely. * If this is not tightened ompletely, then there my e lekge from the filter. (7) Instll the side over. Side over (8) Connet the power plug to the outlet. (9) Open the wter shutoff vlve. * If the wter ontinues to not flow well, hek the wter supply pressure. 24

26 12. To prevent wter from freezing inside this produt, follow the proedure elow to drin the wter. (1) Close the wter shutoff vlve to stop the wter. Plese do not remove the filter when the wter supply vlve is open. * Wter will lek from the filter. (2) Press [FULL], or press the flush utton on the produt * Wit pproximtely 20 seonds. Flush utton (3) Remove the left side over (seen from the front), ple loth or something similr on the floor elow, remove the filter, nd drin the wter. (4) Remove ll remining wter from the produt. <To drin wter from the produt> On the remote ontrol, press nd hold down [NOZZLE CLEANING] nd [MASSAGE] simultneously for 2 seonds. * Wter will drin from the produt for pproximtely 15 seonds. (5) Wsh wy ny deris inside the filter nd from the O-ring. (6) Fully tighten the filter. (7) Instll the side over. (8) Chek for lekge from the wter shutoff vlve, nd disonnet the power plug from the outlet. 25
