4 OVERVIEW: Smart Prepaid System Contactless IC Card gas meter is suitable for measuring the flow of natural gas, coal gas and liquid gas. One household fixed one meter and consumer uses gas by IC card. No need to charge house by house and avoid owing. Customer goes to gas administrative department and prepays for power firstly, then staff will give customer an IC card, input purchased power into the IC card through software and IC card reader-writer. Then customer takes his IC card to home and swipes it on the induction area of gas meter and then the purchased power will be automatically put into his meter. After gas meter receives the data of purchased power, it will switch on and supply gas power. During the using period, the microcomputer inside the gas meter will automatically subtract the gas power and when the purchased power has been used up, the gas meter will automatically close valve and stop gas power supply. At this moment, the customer has to purchase power again for using next time. With support of software and IC card reader-writer, gas administrative department can supervise total used gas, total purchased gas and so on. High efficiency, no need of house call fee-charge and avoid owing.
