2 Page 2 of 6 Issue date: January 2015 All other ingredients not hazardous according to ERMA Criteria. 4. FIRST AID MEASURES Swallowed: If swallowed, DO NOT induce vomiting. Seek urgent medical assistance. Eye: If material is splashed into eyes, flush with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes, ensuring eye lids are held open. Immediately transport to hospital or doctor. Skin: If material is splashed onto the skin, remove any contaminated clothing and wash skin thoroughly with water and soap if available. Remove contaminated clothing, flush with water immediately. Apply Calcium Gluconate gel and massage into affected area with clean fingers until 15 minutes after the pain has completely subsided, or until medical treatment is available. If pain persists, seek medical attention. If burn is large (greater than 65 Sq. cm) give 6 Soluble Calcium tablets in water. After contact with dilute acid the effects may not be apparent for several hours. If after slight contact you suddenly experience tenderness or pain in an area, do not hesitate, carry out the previous steps. Urgently transport to hospital or doctor. Inhaled: Remove victim to fresh air. Apply resuscitation if victim is not breathing - DO NOT USE DIRECT MOUTH - TO - MOUTH METHOD if victim ingested or inhaled substance; use alternative respiratory method or proper respiratory device - Administer oxygen if breathing is difficult. First Aid Facilities: Have available - Calcium Gluconate gel 3 % - 50 g tubes Soluble Calcium tablets (1000 mg Ca as calcium Gluconate). Advice to Doctor: SKIN: Continue applications of calcium Gluconate gel until 15 minutes after the pain has subsided, as detailed above. This may require several hours, but should continue so long as there is improvement. If a thick, necrotic coagulum has formed, it may act as a barrier to penetration of the gel. The necrotic tissue should be debrided and gel massaged into the base of the wound. If the burn fails to respond to application of the gel, injection of calcium Gluconate solution under the burn should be considered. Relief of pain indicates that sufficient solution has been injected therefore local anesthetic SHOULD NOT BE GIVEN. Care should be taken in injecting areas where circulation may be compromised, e.g. fingers. If pain recurs, the patient requires further treatment as above. Inhaled: The onset of pulmonary oedema following exposure to high concentrations may not become apparent until hours after exposure. During the symptomatic period, inhalation of 100% humidified oxygen, preferably exhaled against a positive end expiratory pressure of not more than 4 cm H20, should help to minimize pulmonary oedema. The treatment should be for 30 minutes out of every hour for six hours. If there are no signs of pulmonary oedema at this time, the therapy may be discontinued. Bed rest should be enforced for 24 hours.

3 Page 3 of 6 Issue date: January 2015 The inhalation therapy should be re-commenced if signs of respiratory distress recur. In case of poisoning, contact Poisons Information Centre ph.: FIRE-FIGHTING MEASURES Fire/Explosion Hazard CAUTION: Use of water spray when fighting fire may be inefficient. EXTINGUISHING MEDIA: Use dry chemical, carbon dioxide, foam or water fog. SPECIAL FIRE FIGHTING PROCEDURES: Self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) required for fire-fighting personnel. If possible to do so safely, shut off fuel to fire. Use water spray to spray to cool fire-exposed surfaces and to protect personnel. UNUSUAL FIRE AND EXPLOSION HAZARDS: If tanks, drums or containers of this material are heated, they may rupture and project corrosive liquids over a wide area. HAZCHEM CODE: 2XE FLAMMABILITY Not flammable or combustible. If involved in a fire will generate noxious and corrosive fumes 6. ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES EMERGENCY ACTION (LARGE SPILL): Keep unnecessary people away; Isolate hazard area and deny entry. Stay upwind; Keep out of low areas. SPILL OR LEAK PROCEDURE: Trained personnel should wear personal protective equipment as highlighted in this SDS. Stop leak if you can do it without risk. Water spray may reduce vapour SMALL SPILLS: Take up with sand, dirt or sawdust. Place into labeled PLASTIC drum(s) for later disposal. LARGE SPILLS: Notify Emergency Services (Police or Fire Brigade). Tell them EXACT location, type of vehicle/container. Contain spill. Safely stop flow of spill. Bund area. May be neutralized with lime or soda ash if easily available. 7. HANDLING AND STORAGE Store tightly closed, in a cool place and out of direct sunlight. Store locked up. Store away from sources of heat or ignition, strong alkalis and oxidizing agents. Store in original packages as approved by manufacturer. Check all fittings, valves, reticulation (piping) and any ancillary equipment for leaks. A supplied air respirator or a Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) for emergencies should be available and checked regularly. For further information please refer to the Engineering Controls of this SDS. 8. EXPOSURE CONTROLS / PERSONAL PROTECTION Exposure Standards No exposure standards are available for this product; however, the following exposure standards have been assigned by Worksafe New Zealand to the following components of the product: HYDROFLUORIC ACID NZ WES: TWA = Ceiling 3ppm (2.6mg/m³)

In most circumstances natural ventilation systems are adequate unless the material is heated, reacted or otherwise changed in some type of chemical reaction, then the use of a local exhaust ventilation system is recommended. Personal Protection Equipment GLOVES: PVC or rubber. EYES: Chemical goggles or faceshield to protect eyes. BODY: Acid resistant suit. RESPIRATORY PROTECTION: Avoid breathing of vapors. Select and use respirators in accordance with AS/NZS 1715/1716. The use of an organic vapour respirator with replaceable filters is recommended. Filter capacity and respirator type depends on exposure levels and type of contaminant. If entering spaces where the airborne concentration of a contaminant is unknown then the use of a Self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) with positive pressure air supply complying with AS/NZS 1715 / 1716, or any other acceptable International Standard is recommended. 9. STABILITY AND REACTIVITY STABILITY: Stable under normal conditions of use. HAZARDOUS DECOMPOSITION PRODUCTS: Emits choking and corrosive fumes when heated to decomposition. HAZARDOUS POLYMERIZATION: Will not occur. INCOMPATIBILITIES: Strong alkalis and oxidizing agents. CONDITIONS TO AVOID: Heat, flames, ignition sources and incompatibles. 11. TOXICOLOGICAL INFORMATION No adverse health effects are expected, if the product is handled in accordance with this Safety Data Sheet and the product label. Symptoms and effects that may arise if the product is mishandled and overexposure occurs are: ACUTE HEALTH EFFECTS: Swallowed:

5 Page 5 of 6 Issue date: January 2015 Will cause burns to the mouth, mucous membranes, throat, oesophagus and stomach. If sufficient quantities are ingested (swallowed) death may occur. Eye: Will cause burns to the eyes with effects including: Pain, tearing, conjunctivitis and if duration of exposure is long enough, blindness will occur. Skin: Will cause burns to the skin, with effects including; Redness, blistering, localised pain and dermatitis. Inhaled: Will cause severe irritation to the nose, throat and respiratory system with effects including: Dizziness, headache, coughing, loss of co-ordination, chest pains, respiratory paralysis and or failure. Chronic: Prolonged or repeated skin contact will lead to necrosis (death) of the skin. Toxicological Data: There is no other toxicological information available for this product. 12. ECOLOGICAL INFORMATION Ecotoxity: High acidity may be hazardous to aquatic life by ph shift 13. DISPOSAL CONSIDERATIONS Refer to appropriate authority in your State. Dispose of material through a licensed waste contractor. Normally suitable for disposal by approved waste disposal agent. During normal use of etching concrete/removing lime the product will neutralize itself and the resulting salt may be flushed to sewer. 14.
