Connecing he Operaing Supply The conains a capacior-drop power circui. Use a sinusoidal power supply wih a commercial frequency. Do no use power supplies wih a high frequency componen (such as inverer power supplies) for Timers wih 110 or 220-VAC specificaions. Using hese power supplies can damage inernal circuis. If volages oher han he raed volage is applied, he inernal componens may be damaged. The inernal elemen (varisor) will be damaged if a volage of higher han 100 VAC is applied o he 24- VDC line. Connec he power supply volage hrough a relay or swich in such a way ha he volage reaches a fixed value immediaely or he Timer may no be rese or a imer error could resul. A DC power supply can be conneced if is ripple facor is 20% or less and he mean volage is wihin he raed operaing volage range of he Timer. If he wiring o he erminal 2 (common erminal for boh he power supply and inpu signals) is broken, he inernal circui will be desroyed. Inpu/Oupu 5, 6, 7 G, S, R Inpu erminal Closed An appropriae inpu will be applied o he inpu signal erminals of he Timer when one of he inpu erminals (erminals 5, 6, and 7) and he common erminal (erminal 2) for he inpu signals are shorcircuied. For precise ime seing, conduc operaion ess by adjusing he seing knob. The accuracy of he operaing ime of he Analog Timer is indicaed by he percenage value on he basis of he full-scale ime. The absolue flucuaion value will no be improved by changing he ime seing. Therefore, when selecing he model, be sure ha he applicaion will be able o use a ime seing as close as he full-scale ime seing of he Timer. Ohers When conducing a dielecric es, impulse volage es, or insulaion resisance es beween he elecric circui and non-curren-carrying meal pars of he Timer mouned o a conrol panel, be sure o ake he following seps. These seps will preven he inernal circuiry of he Timer from damage ha may be caused if a machine on he conrol panel has an improper dielecric srengh or insulaion resisance. 1. Separae he Timer from he circuiry of he conrol panel by disconnecing he socke from he Timer or wires. 2. Shor-circui all erminals of he Timer. If any device wih no-conac oupu, such as a proximiy sensor, phooelecric sensor, or SSR, is direcly conneced o he Timer, curren leakage from he device may cause Timer malfuncion. Be sure o es he device wih he Timer before using he device for acual applicaions. Before using he Timer o swich inducive loads, be sure o connec a surge absorbing elemen o he Timer in order o preven he Timer from malfuncion and damage. A diode is an example of a surge absorbing elemen for DC circuis and a surge absorber is an example of a surge absorbing elemen for AC circuis. Do no leave he Timer in ime-up condiion for a monh or longer in places wih high emperaures, oherwise he inernal pars, such as an elecrolyic capacior, of he Timer may be damaged. Use he Timer wih an appropriae relay so ha he Timer will no be lef in ime-up condiion for a long ime. If he Timer is mouned in conac wih a mouning surface, he service life of inernal pars may be shorened. Provide a leas 10 mm beween he Timer and he mouning surface o prolong he service life of he Timer. When he Timer is rese righ afer he Timer goes ino ime-up condiion, be sure o provide he Timer wih an appropriae circui configuraion considering he reseing ime of he Timer so ha a sequenial error will no resul. 10 supply AC or DC Inpu conac (See noe 2) 5, 6, 7 G, S, R Inpu erminal H3BA-N 2 (see noe 1) Noe: 1. supply erminal 2 is a common erminal for he inpu signals (G, S, R) o he Timer. The Timer uses he consan value read mehod. Be careful when changing he se value because he oupu of he Timer will be ON when he se value coincides wih he coun value. Be sure ha he casing of he Timer is free from organic solvens, such as pain hinner and benzene, srong acid, and alkali solvens, which will damage he casing. Duc When using he US08, be sure o use 10.5-dia. max. muli-conducor cable or 3-dia. max. insulaed sranded wire for wiring. When he Y92F-30, Y92F-70 or Y92F-71 Flush Mouning Adaper is used, jus inser he Timer ino he square panel hole.
