2 CYLINDERS Agent Tank The agent storage tank consists of a high pressure steel tank fitted with a valve and internal siphon tube, factory filled with FIREX200 gas (HFC-227 ea), and super-pressurized with dry nitrogen to 360 psi (25 bar) at 70 F (21 C). Tanks sharing the same manifold shall be equal in size and fill density. Tanks are available in various sizes, ranging from 25 lbs. to 300 lbs. A nameplate is adhered to the tank displaying the agent weight, tare weight, gross weight, fill density, and charge date. Larger tanks are available upon request by clients. 3 1. FIREX200 GAS 1.1. AGENT The Extinguishing agent used in FIREX200 Pre-engineered Clean agent extinguishing system unit total flooding systems is Heptafluoropropane. FIREX200 is a colorless, liquefied compressed gas. (See Physical Properties Table for additional information). It is stored as a liquid and dispensed into the hazard as a colorless, Electrically nonconductive vapor. It leaves no residue. It has acceptable toxicity for use in occupied spaces when used as specified in the United States Environmental Protection (EPA) proposed Significant New Alternatives Policy (SNAP) program rules. FIREX200 extinguishes a fire by a combination of Chemical and Physical mechanisms PERFORMANCE FIREX200 is an effective fire extinguishing agent that can be used on many types of fires. If is effective for use on Class-A Surface-Burning Fires, Class-B Flammable Liquid and Class-C Electrical Fires. On a weight of agent basis, FIREX200 is a very effective gaseous extinguishing agent. 4 NOZZLE Specification The discharge nozzle is the device which controls the gas flow, and distributes the agent throughout the protected area. Nozzle are available with either 360 twelve orifice or 180 eleven orifice. The nozzles are designed to discharge the agent in ten seconds or less, as long as they are used within the limitations outlined in the manual. Nozzles are constructed of the solid brass/aluminum to prevent to prevent corrosion. 3/8
