Symptoms Signs and symptoms of exposure to this material through breathing, swallowing, and/or passage of the material through the skin may include:, stomach or intestinal upset (nausea, vomiting, diarrhea), irritation (nose, throat, airways), lung irritation, cough, central nervous system depression (dizziness, drowsiness, weakness, fatigue, nausea, headache, unconsciousness), loss of coordination, confusion, difficult breathing, irregular heartbeat, narcosis (dazed or sluggish feeling), lung damage, convulsions, coma, and death Target Organs Exposure to this material (or a component) has been found to cause kidney damage in male rats. The mechanism by which this toxicity occurs is specific to the male rat and the kidney effects are not expected to occur in humans., Studies with rabbits indicate that sustained, occluded skin contact with undiluted surfactant may result in the development of inflammatory changes in the lung., Overexposure to this material (or its components) has been suggested as a cause of the following effects in laboratory animals:, mild, reversible liver effects, kidney damage Carcinogenicity Page 2 / 10

FIRST AID MEASURES Eyes If symptoms develop, immediately move individual away from exposure and into fresh air. Inhalation If symptoms develop, move individual away from exposure and into fresh air. If symptoms persist, seek medical attention. If breathing is difficult, administer oxygen. Keep person warm and quiet; seek immediate medical attention. Notes to physician Hazards: Inhalation of high concentrations of this material, as could occur in enclosed spaces or during deliberate abuse, may be associated with cardiac arrhythmias. Sympathomimetic drugs may initiate cardiac arrhythmias in persons exposed to this material. This material is an aspiration hazard. Potential danger from aspiration must be weighed against possible oral toxicity (See Section 2 - Swallowing) when deciding whether to induce vomiting. Acute aspiration of large amounts of oil-laden material may produce a serious aspiration pneumonia. Patients who aspirate these oils should be followed for the development of long-term sequelae. Repeated aspiration of small quantities of mineral oil can produce chronic inflammation of the lungs (i.e. lipoid pneumonia) that may progress to pulmonary fibrosis. Symptoms are often subtle and radiological changes appear worse than clinical abnormalities. Occasionally, persistent cough, irritation of the upper respiratory tract, shortness of breath with exertion, fever, and bloody sputum occur. Inhalation exposure to oil mists below current workplace exposure limits is unlikely to cause pulmonary abnormalities. Treatment: No information available. 5. Eliminate all ignition sources (flares, flames including pilot lights, electrical sparks). Persons not wearing protective equipment should be excluded from area of spill until clean-up has been completed. Stop spill at source. Prevent from entering drains, sewers, streams or other bodies of water. Prevent from spreading. If runoff occurs, notify authorities as required. Pump or vacuum transfer spilled product to clean containers for recovery. Absorb unrecoverable product. Transfer contaminated absorbent, soil and other materials to containers for disposal. Environmental precautions Methods for cleaning up The area should be thoroughly flushed with water and scrubbed to remove residue. If slipperiness remains, apply more dry-sweeping compound. Scoop and sweep up all spilled product and other contaminated materials and place in marked disposal containers. If possible, clean up spill area on a dry basis and then flush with plenty of water. Absorb liquid on vermiculite, floor absorbent or other absorbent material. Wash walking surfaces with detergent and water to reduce slipping hazard. 7. HANDLING AND STORAGE Handling Containers of this material may be hazardous when emptied. Since emptied containers retain product residues (vapor, liquid, and/or solid), all hazard precautions given in the data sheet must be observed. Ethylene oxide may accumulate in the headspace of shipping and storage containers and in enclosed areas where the product is being handled or used. Do not store near extreme heat, open flame, or sources of ignition. 8. EXPOSURE CONTROLS / PERSONAL PROTECTION Exposure Guidelines General advice These recommendations provide general guidance for handling this product. Personal protective equipment should be selected for individual applications and should consider factors which affect exposure potential, such as handling practices, chemical concentrations and ventilation. It is ultimately the responsibility of the employer to follow regulatory guidelines established by local authorities. Exposure controls Provide sufficient mechanical (general and/or local exhaust) ventilation to maintain exposure below TLV(s). This product may contain small amounts of ethylene oxide which could potentially accumulate in the headspace of shipping and storage containers and in enclosed areas where the product is being handled or used. Provide adequate ventilation to control exposures to within the OSHA permissible exposure limits of 1 ppm (TWA) and 5 ppm (STEL). Eye protection Chemical splash goggles in compliance with OSHA regulations are advised; however, OSHA regulations also permit other type safety glasses. Consult your safety representative. Skin and body protection Wear impervious gloves (consult your safety equipment supplier). Wear normal work clothing covering arms and legs. Respiratory protection Page 6 / 10

7 Page: 7 Exposures in the workplace should be monitored if worker exposure to vapor or mists exceeds the PEL or TLV. Only a NIOSH-approved respirator and cartridge (TC- 23C) is to be used. Monitoring results must be used to assess the proper level of respiratory protection necessary (such as: full face piece respirator with chemical cartridges or self-contained breathing apparatus {scuba}, etc.). Proper engineering and/or administrative controls should be used to reduce worker exposure. The facility's respiratory program must meet the requirements established in 29 CFR , which includes a program for medical evaluation. 9.
