3 T G I d i v e c e n t r e o r i e n t a t i o n d i v e The TGI diving center s international and multilingual PADI instructor team welcomes you to Constance Halaveli Resort. We are a PADI 5 star Instructor Development Centre and offer courses from beginners through to instructor level. Our opening hours are from 09:00 to18:00. We are located on the arrival jetty. The warm tropical waters around Constance Halaveli Resort are full with a rich diversity of marine life. There are thousands of colorful fish, corals, turtles, rays and sharks that you can discover when snorkeling or even walking around the long beaches of this beautiful resort. If you wish to see more of the breath-taking marine life we offer a variety of different diving courses for the beginner and excursions for the certified diver. After check-in, an orientation dive for the following day will be scheduled. This orientation dive, which is compulsory by Maldivian regulations prior to engaging in boat diving activities, will be made to a depth of about meters for approx 30 min and shall include the practice of the following safety skills: mask clearing, regulator recovery, neutral ancy, ascents, descents and alternate air source breathing. l e f t y o u r d i v i n g c e r t i f i c a t i o n a t h o m e? If it is a PADI or SSI certification then we can check on-line with PADI or SSI. With any other organization we will need a photocopy of the certification card or a fax, or letter from the training organizations head office stating your diving qualification. b o a t t r i p s Our boats (Dhonis) leave at least twice a day and are equipped with a toilet, shower, sundeck and for your safety, a radio, mobile phone, life jackets, first aid and oxygen. n i g h t d i v e s Night dives from the boat are also available; please enquire with the dive centre. r e s e r v a t i o n s c h e c k - i n The best time for check-in for divers and all information on diving and diving courses: 17:00 hrs -18:00 hrs, daily. The multilingual team will check you in and give you information on dive sites, diving safety rules and prices. For check-in, please bring your diving certification, logbook and your medical certificate if you have one. If you have already checked in with us, done your paperwork and completed your check dive then you may sign up from 14:30 hrs onwards for the following day s dives. If you wish to make a reservation by phone then you may call between 17:00 hrs and 18:00 hrs to sign up for the following day s diving on the dive center.

This internationally recognized diving course is taught to PADI standards and consists of 3 academic sessions with 3 confined water training sessions followed by 2 open water dives.

4 d i v i n g c o u r s e s p a d i s c u b a d i v e r The following PADI scuba diving courses are available for beginners in English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Manadarin, Portuguese, Russian, Swedish and Spanish. This internationally recognized diving course is taught to PADI standards and consists of 3 academic sessions with 3 confined water training sessions followed by 2 open water dives. This certification is valid for the rest of your life and allows you to go to a maximum of 12 m accompanied by a professional guide/instructor and will take 2 to 3 days. p a d i o p e n w a t e r As above but consisting of 5 academic sessions with 5 confined water training sessions followed by 4 open water dives. This certification is valid for the rest of your life and allows you to dive to a maximum of 18 m in pair with a diver of at least the same training level. This course will take 4 to 5 days. m a n t a r a y a w a r e n e s s Please note that completing a PADI medical form is compulsory to take part in any of the courses offered. Alternatively, a medical certificate from a doctor stating that you are fit to participate in scuba diving activities will be accepted. The minimum age for all diving activities is 8 years and anyone under 18 years must have a parent or guardian to sign and complete the PADI medical form or show a doctor s certificate. A signature course, this PADI specialty course will answer all your questions about mantas. Topics cover manta anatomy, feeding and mating behaviors, cleaning stations and seasonal movement. A specialty unique to Halaveli and written by our dive center manager Alexis Vincent. The course comprises of a two hour Lecture/Power Point presentation followed by two dives at our world famous manta point (in season). s h a r k a w a r e n e s s p a d i d i s c o v e r s c u b a d i v i n g For all who have never dived before but wish to explore the marine life and experience a dive with scuba equipment, we show a 30 min video along with a brief lesson with your instructor, followed by a shallow water session in the lagoon and a dive at a nearby dive site. This course lasts half a day. Extra dives may be made after this experience if requested. Another signature course, this PADI specialty course will answer all your questions about sharks. Topics cover different species, shark anatomy, feeding and mating behaviors, myths about sharks and seasonal movement. This course has been written by PADI Course Director Giuseppe D Amato. The course comprises of a two hour lecture/power Point presentation followed by two dives at local dive sites where sharks can be seen.
