1 (727)-916-PADI (7234) PADI OPEN WATER DIVER CERTIFICATION PROGRAM Thank you for your interest in the PADI Open Water SCUBA program!! Here s how the program works. My programs are all private and conducted by off duty Fire Fighter- Paramedics. First off you will need to get a PADI Open Water Crew Pack. This link is the cheapest price I've been able to find on the Internet but feel free to shop around for a better price. If you shop around be sure that the kit you order has the same items as the one I ve listed (manual, erdpml, log book, student file folder). / ?_trksid=p l4276 There may be times when the above link does not work so try to search using the PADI OPEN WATER CREW PACK erdpml The sooner students order this packet the sooner we can get their class started. ****All students will need an underwater watch. Many cheap waterproof stop watches from Walmart will work fine. I would suggest a Timex Ironman type. Class 1 As soon as you receive you books call me to schedule you first class. At he first class we will complete all administrative paperwork and the medical clearance forms together. We will review the logistics of the program and answer any questions you have. Payment of the class fee is due at this time. A review of the dive table/erdp and decompression theory will be conducted. Expect to spend about three hours together for this phase. This can be conducted in the home of the student or an alternate site. Students will be given homework assignments to complete prior to the next class.

Class 2 Again we will meet in the home of the student to review all chapters from the book. Students must have ALL chapters completed prior to attending this phase.

Students need to bring a photo copy of all completed chapter reviews to be added to their student records. Students will take a few short quizzes and final exam. Additional review will be scheduled as necessary but is rarely needed. No stress allowed on the quizzes and test, these are actually a tool for me to see where the student needs additional information about the upcoming adventure! No one has EVER failed my class! EVER!! Confined Water training 1 & 2 We will meet for a 3-4 hour confined water training session at the pool of a student or a pool like natural body of water. During this stage students will learn perfect the skills necessary to become a responsible and safe diver! Pool temperature must be 72 or above. Students will be provided a mask, snorkel, fins, and wet suit depending on the temperature of the pool. Confined water training 1 and 2 will be completed here. Students with odd shaped bodies may have to provide their own custom equipment. Confined Water 3 & 4 Training Confined water training 3-4 will be completed over a 3-4 hour period. The same equipment will be required as mentioned above. Students will perfect additional skills and prepare for the next phase, open water check out!

Open Water Dive Day 1 Dives 1 & 2 will be conducted in a depth of 20-30. This will be an easy and relaxed day.

Please have sun-cool weather protection items (clothing or sunscreen)as needed. This will be approximately a 6-8 hour day.

Open Water Dive Day 2 Dives 3 & 4 will be conducted. Students will complete all the necessary skills for certification.

Students who complete the necessary skills this day will be awarded the PADI Open Water Diver certification.

Please bring your log book and dive tables or erdpml with you to this dive.

Be sure to bring your log book and dive tables or erdpml with you to this dive. Open Water Dive Day 2 Dives 3 & 4 will be conducted. Students will complete all the necessary skills for certification. Some students may require additional dives due to poor skill performance but this is rare. Students who complete the necessary skills this day will be awarded the PADI Open Water Diver certification. This is a life time certification. Plan another 6-8 hour day of diving and fun. Please bring your log book and dive tables or erdpml with you to this dive. Open Water Dive Sites We have at our disposal a variety of sites to utilize for your certification class. Sites vary in price from $55/day to $125/day. Site fees are to be paid in cash on the day of your dive to your Instructor as we must pay as a group at that time. We invite you to join us in the Gulf of Mexico at the Dunedin Reef aboard our 60 sail yacht Clam Digger.

4 Student Gear Discounts We are dealers for a few lines of equipment and offer a student discount of 10% while you are a student. Check out our student catalog which highlights a few of the things that new divers typically need. If you don t see what you want let us know and we will find it for you. Program Cost Option 1 All Inclusive $375 Everything but your books and a dive watch are included! Dive & sail with us aboard the Clam Digger as we enjoy an 8 hour day of diving (2 dives) and sailing the local waters of Dunedin and Clearwater. Mask, fins, snorkel, BCD, regulators, tanks, wetsuits(xs- XXLg), are all included in this package. Option 2 A La Carte $275 This option allows you to choose a different dive option. If you would like to go to the Fl Springs or the Fl Keys for your final dives we can make those arrangements. The cost of those dives is not included in this price. Educational Materials: Provided by the student. See the above link for the best price I was able to find Dive Charter aboard the Clam Digger $85 We have room for 6 divers aboard the Clam Digger. If you have a scuba certified friend or family member that would like to join you on your dive we welcome them aboard as long as we are not over the 6 person head count. Tanks and rental equipment is available for an additional fee.

Students are welcome to use their own equipment but we reserve the right to inspect and deny any equipment for use in the class that does not meet
