HAZARDS IDENTIFICATION Emergency Overview Powder becomes slippery when wet. Dry or powdered ingredients are combustible. Dispersal of finely divided dust from products into air may form mixtures that are ignitable and explosive. Minimize airborne dust generation and eliminate sources of ignition Accumulation of overhead settled dust may form explosive concentration in air when disturbed and dispersed. After initial flushing, remove any contact lenses and continue flushing for at least 15 minutes. Get medical attention if irritation develops and persists. Wash with water and soap as a precaution. Move to fresh air. If symptoms persist, call a physician. No signifcant adverse health effects are expected to develop if small amounts (less than a mouthful) are swallowed. 3 7. HANDLING AND STORAGE Handling Storage Avoid dust formation in confined areas. Wear personal protective equipment. In case of insufficient ventilation, wear suitable respiratory equipment if release of airborne dust is expected. Refer to Section 8. Do t contaminate other pesticides, fertilizers, water, food or feed by storage or disposal. Keep containers tightly closed in a dry, cool and well-ventilated place. To maintain product quality, do t store in heat or direct sunlight. 8. Exposure controls/personal protection Exposure guidelines See below to determine if appropriate ingredient workplace exposure limits apply. Occupational exposure controls Engineering measures Ensure adequate ventilation, especially in confined areas. Use with local exhaust ventilation. Avoid exceeding of the given occupational exposure limits (see section 8). Where reasonably practicable this should be achieved by the use of local exhaust ventilation and good general extraction. The use of local mechanical exhaust ventilation is preferred at sources of air contaimination such as open process equipment. Local nuisance dust standards apply. If handling generates dust levels which causes irritation, or results in personal exposure exceeding the local occupational exposure standards (OES), then suitable approved dust respirator should be used. Personal exposure to dust should ideally be controlled to the lowest level possible below the OES. This product does t cause significant eye irriation or eye toxicity requiring special protection. Where there is significant potential for eye contact, wear chemical goggles and have eye flushing equipment available. This product does t present a significant skin concern. Minimize skin contamination by following good industrial practice. Use gloves if extended exposure is anticipated. Please observe the instructions regarding permeability and breakthrough time which are provided by the supplier of the gloves. Also take into consideration the specific local conditions under which the product is used, such as the danger of cuts, abrasion If used in solution, or mixed with other substances, and under conditions which differ from EN 374, contact the supplier of the EC approved gloves Hygiene measures When using, do t eat, drink or smoke.
