The secret lies in the high quality metal-to-metal sealing principle developed by DILO. The high pressure tube unions are sealed without any intermediate seal compound. The seal is obtained by direct contact of the tongue and groove sealing surface. Our sealing principle allows permanent pressure tightness up to 1,000 bar and withstands temperatures from -270 C up to +500 C (dependent on the material used). In case your pipework systems require frequent maintenance it is a double win situation since DILO high pressure tube unions are completely maintenance free and can be loosened and re-connected as often as required. 3 Comprehensive range of products DILO s success story began in 1951 when the metal to metal seal high pressure tube unions were launched. Today s product range includes weld-on tube unions and blocking valves, non-return valves and high pressure hoses: all that is required for high pressure tube unions, guaranteeing maximum tightness. With nominal diameters from DN3 to DN50 and pressures ranges up to 1,000 bar our product range meets all requirements. Different materials are available so that high process reliability is always maintained whatever the media. Standard series are available from stock and can be delivered immediately. 4 DILO High Pressure Tube Unions DILO sealing principle Hermetically sealed and long term tightness Tightness is achieved without any intermediate seal compound by direct contact of the tongue and groove seal faces. Two ring-shaped sealing areas with high stability are produced by the different radii of curvature of the tongue and groove. The braking surface on the DILO tongue part prevents the seal area from being deformed. The result: high and long term tightness.
