2 WELCOME Dear Athletes, Coaches, Officials and Parents Welcome to the 2017 FIS FREESTYLE NORAM. The NorAm Cup is the stepping stone and training ground to the big show, the WORLD CUP. Acting as both an access point and holding area to the best developing skiers in the America s and the World, the FIS Freestyle NorAm Cup has events in all FIS Freestyle disciplines Ski Cross, Moguls, Dual Moguls, Ski Halfpipe, Aerials and Ski Slopestyle. My goal is to assure that your experience at this level of freestyle skiing is safe, fair and fun. I work closely with USSA, CFSA, the representing officials and the Local Organizers to assure we are as well prepared to operate a competition as you are to compete. 3 Welcome NORAM Athletes, The Killington Ski Club and Killington Mountain School, along with the Killington Resort are honored to host the 2017 FIS NorAm Cup Mogul Opener. We welcome elite athletes from across North America and all over the world to compete in these exciting, high level mogul competitions. Along with being the biggest resort in the East Coast, Killington has a long standing tradition and culture of mogul skiing. The Killington community enthusiastically embraces mogul skiers at all levels from the development programs through the elite level. We wish the best of luck to all of the competitors! 4 The Killington Ski Club, Killington Mountain School and Killington resort are pleased to invite all nations and their freestyle athletes to attend the Killington Mogul NorAm as part of the FIS Freestyle NorAm Cup. The Organizing Committee will host the event in accordance with the International Freestyle Ski Competition Rules (I.C.R.) of the FIS, the FIS Continental Cup Rules and operated in accordance with the NorAm Standard Operating Procedures. Coaches and/or Team Leaders must provide a TEAM LIST, including all attending Coaches, Technical Support and Athletes by February 3rd to npepe@killingtonmountainschool.org *All athletes should use the K1 Base Lodge to boot up. 5 Basic Event Program: Wednesday, February 8th Thursday, February 9th Friday, February 10th Saturday, February 11th Sunday, February 12th Arrival Training Training Mogul Competition Dual Mogul Competition Accommodations: The North Star Lodge in Killington, VT is offering NorAm athletes and coaches discounted lodging including 35% off midweek and 20% off on weekends. For reservations, call or Team Captains Meeting: The First Meeting of the Team Captains is Friday, February 10th at the Killington Ski Club Johnny O Multi-Purpose Room, Killington Road, Killington, VT Statement of Medical Plan: Team Captains will be provided a copy of the event Medical Plan at the initial Team Captains meeting. Bibs: A $40 bib deposit is required. Athletes must return bib after last event to get deposit back

6 Statement of Liability: All athletes, officials and other members of their National Association who attend and participate in the event shall do so at their own risk. The Killington NORAM Organizing Committee, Killington Mountain, the Killington Ski Club, Killington Mountain School, sponsors and suppliers, their agents, employees and volunteers shall not be held responsible for any losses or injuries incurred or suffered by any athlete, official or other person in conjunction with the organization or staging of the event. All participants are urged not to be negligent in safeguarding their personal belongings at all times. The aforementioned parties will take no responsibility for missing belongings. Accident Insurance: Every competitor must have his/her own medical insurance in accordance with FIS ICR Rule The Organizing Committee, Sponsors, Suppliers, The Killington NORAM Organizing Committee, Killington Mountain, Killington Mountain School Ski Resort, and the FIS decline any responsibility for accidents, damaged equipment and second and third party claims during the event. Accident Protocol: In the case of accidents on courses during the event, medical personnel from the Organizing Committee and Ski Services personnel will be responsible for any medical decision or evacuation to the local hospital in co-operation with the National Associations medical personnel identified on the entry form.
