2 Booking a Group at Thredbo checklist Step 1: Contact groups@thredbo.com.au with you initial enquiry stating the following information: - Group Name - Approx number of PAX and Arrival Date - Does your group require Hire Equipment Step 2: Thredbo Groups will send out the Group Booking Info Pack including: - Thredbo Group Information Form - Student Consent Form - Unaccompanied Minor Hire Form (Only required for Groups Booking a Ski or Snowboard Hire Package). - Express Post Envelope to be posted for all groups requiring Hire. Step 3 Compile your Group Information - Collect all Student Consent & Unaccompanied Minor Form from Students, required for the Group Information Form - Enter information into the Group Information Form Step 4 3 Weeks Prior to Arrival Group Information Form to groups@thredbo.com.au - Post Unaccompanied Minor Hire Form to: Thredbo Groups Po Box 92 Thredbo, NSW, 2625 Step 5 7 s prior to Arrival Double check that all information sent to Thredbo Groups is correct. - Make any changes to Group Information Form that are required - Re-send Group Information form to groups@thredbo.com.au What s New In 2012 MORE PROMOTION Thredbo is giving you MORE in June and September Value Seasons. 5 Booking & Payment Information Bookings must be made at least 10 days prior to arrival. (Priority given to early bookings) All passes & equipment hire must be paid for prior to or on the day by either cash, bank or school cheque or by credit card. Payment is per group, no individual payments. We do not accept DINERS or AMEX cards or personal cheques. If choosing the Direct Deposit method you must wait until your confirmation number has been provided and quote as a reference when depositing. Direct deposits must be made no later than 3 days prior to arrival. Bona fide school groups to Year 12 will be charged at the Student rate and receive 1 in 10 teacher free of charge. ALL passes must start on the same day. NON COMMISSIONABLE Retail rates are applicable during the NSW July school holidays 30 th June 15 th July During this time when retail rates apply, FOC s of 1:10 are still available to bona fide school groups. On the 23 rd of August 2011, the NSW Department of Education and Training released a set of guidelines for schools conducting excursions where students will participate in a Snow Sports activity. These guidelines can be accessed by the web address below: Kosciuszko Thredbo strongly recommends that all schools accessing the feasibility of an excursion to the NSW Snowfields: ` reads and fully understands these guidelines. ½ day free ski is available on 5 products from 1pm on the day prior to the first full day of riding. Start date of ticket to be based off the first full day. All passes are for consecutive days. Student Lift & lesson packages include all mountain lift pass and a 2hr group lesson daily. Group lessons are not available for children under 7 years of age. Thredboland is available for children aged 6 years and under. Adult Lift & lesson packages include all mountain lift pass and a 2hr group lesson. Lesson is to be taken with the Students class All School Group ski & snowboard lessons meet at Friday Flat. Lesson times are 8.30am, 10.30am & 2pm ONLY. Lessons meet 15 minutes prior to start times. i.e. 8.15am, 10.15am & 1.45pm. Student 5 ½ Lift & Lesson passes include 5 x 2hr group lessons. First lesson to be taken at 2pm on first bonus half day then 8.30am, 10.30am or 2pm on the following Five days; or lessons taken on 5 consecutive days at 8.30am, 10.30am or 2pm. Extra 2 hour lessons are only available from 2 4pm, Monday to Friday and valid for students up to Year 12 only. Tobogganing is not permitted within Thredbo resort. Conditions & Information for Social & Coach Groups Bona fide social coach groups must consist of 20 or more to receive this offer. Bona fide social coach groups will receive every 21st ticket free of charge. A child is 14 years of age and under. ALL passes must start on the same day. Tobogganing is not permitted within Thredbo resort. Hire Information Hire equipment is collected from Friday Flat Thredbo Sports only. Allow sufficient time for processing depending upon group size and day of the week. The Group Information Form MUST be complete and returned at least 3 days prior to groups arrival to enable entry of hirer information into our system to help avoid congestion when going through the hire process. Unaccompanied Minor Hire Forms must be completed prior to arrival and sent the Thredbo Groups. This will speed up your Hire processing and give you more time on the slopes.
