4 Travel times On Monday 30 th March we will leave at 6.30am. We will meet at Bishop Walsh Catholic School. We hope to be back on Tuesday 7 th April at around 1.00pm

14 Safety Helmets All pupils must wear a safety helmet when skiing These are included in the package and will be collected at the ski fit on the morning of the first day at the resort. second day.

15 There will NOT be a telephone tree. A group call text will be sent to you when we land in New York. We will then have a 6-7 hour coach drive to New Hampshire to get to the hotel

21 Baggage allowance! One piece of checked luggage- 23kg One piece of hand luggage (this is counted as a handbag ladies!)- 6kg NO LIQUIDS IN HAND LUGGAGE!!!!!

22 Sorted before we go! Based on Quad rooms of two double beds. Pupils will have to share beds!- most will choose to top and tail! Rooming

23 Eating! Full buffet breakfast- fill up and also make a sandwich to take on the mountain. Bring a drawstring sports bag to take with you whilst you ski or a normal back pack that you can leave in the ski resort cafe Hot chocolate and cookies when we return from our hard day skiing! Buffet-style evening meal!- all you can eat and drink!

24 Trip to a supermarket!

25 The Shopping Village This is on the hotel complex. Pupils will be allowed free time to go out but they must go in groups of at least 2 pupils and they must sign out at reception.

26 Pocket money A small amount of money Sterling and US Dollars will be needed for travelling day. ALL other spending money is to be placed in a sealed envelope with the pupil s name and the pastoral leader and handed to pastoral group leader as you arrive on the morning of departure.

27 Once at the hotel the money will be stored in the guest safe. It will be given out to pupils in suitable/sensible amounts throughout the week after dinner in spending money time. Pupils should not need any more that $20 a day plus any extra for shopping.

28 For Skiing: DAILY Packing list 1. Warm Hat 2. Neck warmer - optional but warm! 3. Sun cream/block 4. Sun glasses 5. Goggles 6. Ski Jacket 7. Salopettes 8. Ski socks. More than one pair for the week (3 recommended) 9. Gloves - You will not be allowed to ski without your gloves. 10. Hand warmers if you feel the cold 11. Ski ties to identify your skis if your name is on this ski tie then even better! 12. Back pack or draw string sports bag 13. T-shirt, cotton or base layer clothing 14. Thermals ( if you feel the cold) 15. Sweater / sweatshirts 16. Lip salve For Après-Ski 1. Casual change of clothes (smart clothes not necessary) 2. Soft footwear, trainers are ideal. 3. Changes of underwear and socks 4. Swimming costume (hotel bath sheets are provided)

Games to play on coach (pack of cards always good fun!) 6. Personal medication as required inhalers/ epi-pens (Bring adequate supply (We will have a full first aid kit with usual medicines etc.) 7. Travel sickness pills if required 8. Carrier bag for dirty clothes 9. Light comfortable clothes for journey (jeans not recommended!) 10. SKI TRIP College jacket must be worn on travel days for identification purposes. 11. US adaptor and multi plug *Please be reminded all personal belongings are the responsibility of individual pupils, and school will not be held responsible for any losses or breakages * Look after your own belongings. Keeping tidy and organised helps this!

30 College Jackets Pupils must have seen Miss Filmer or Mr Butler (at break or lunch) by the end of Thursday to state the size they require and the name to go on the front. No rude or inappropriate nicknames will be allowed.

31 Every pupil will have a college jackets and it MUST be worn by all pupils on both travel days for easy identification purposes- especially useful at Heathrow airport!

32 ESTAs and Passports 14US$ Must apply for ESTA using valid passport Passport must be valid for 6 months after travel date. I need a copy of the ESTA as soon as it is applied for and the documentation is completed I need all passports to be handed in as soon as possible please. Some pupils are still waiting on a new passport.
